Chicago would be the best option if he indeed left Cleveland. I think they would be automatic championship contender with LeBron and all the talent they already have. I can't say the same about New York. At least not at the moment. yea I agree. Chicago has been in the playoffs, and has a lot of young talent. Noah alone is very marketable to LeBron. However, he and Derek Rose would be a questionable combo... but a trade can fix that, still a better situation than NY right now. NY has this years cap space AND next year's going for them, that's a really insane situation.

I agree that Chicago would be a really good fit. It would bump Deng to a 6th/7th man role and that would obviously put the team in a much better position. The concern that I imagine you guys are addressing is that LeBron and Rose both need a lot of touches to do their damage -- that would be a good problem to have, especially considering that they're both great off the dribble. Chicago would probably need one more consistent perimeter threat to complement them, but I think he would definitely put the Bulls back into contender status.
The Nets are another big possibility, if you ask me. Especially if they landed the #1 lottery pick. Jesus.

Quanthor your post makes a lot of good points, especially about LeBron and the team not having that killer mentality or evolving into a championship team.
I would like to see LeBron get more vicious. But I think he has in years past and it wasn't enough.
It's his team but like you said more importantly, the coaching is bad.
I don't necessarily agree that they have one of the deepest teams in the league, they use combo guards at point guard and don't even have a set back up, guys rotate positions. Also their Center situation is as old as the dinosaurs and everybody knows that the playoffs require some post quality big men. Varajao is a great player, like a quicker Vlade Divac, but Divac had Chris Webber (borderline Franchise player) next to him.
The Cavs are heavy at swing and 2 guard.

If lebron wants to win multiple rings he could just come join kobe & phil in LA. Long shot i know, but they could work out some sort of sign and trade if lebron really wants to be a laker.
kobe, lebron, gasol, odom .. they'd win 70 games easily.

I would definitely pay to watch the trainwreck of Kobe and Lebron on the same team.

Yeah there's no way having Kobe and Lebron on the same team will work for anyone. I'd like to see him go to Chicago, as stated above.

I really hope this wasnt serious because this might be the silliest post of the sports board this year, and that is quite an accomplishment. I doubt the Lakers win with Lebron/Kobe, I bet they dont even coexist at all. The sign and trade would probably be Lebron for Gasol/Odom. Sounds good to me!

I was just thinking...
When LeBron said he was changing his number from 23 to 6 in honor of Michael Jordan.
Maybe he is going to Chicago??? I know he was wearing I Love NY sneakers when he said it but, it is curious.
Also, concerning the "I spoil a lot of people with my play," maybe he was referring to those loyal Cleveland fans that want him back who boo'd him last night. But yes, the comment, while it may be true... is completely uncalled for. It is concerning, but after all he is a 25 year old kid under more pressure than any player in the league.

Lebron going to chicago would be amazing, with Rose Noah Deng Gibson and Kirk. Maybe even do a little sign and trade for bosh or someone else to.

yeah i know it has no chance of happening, just wishful thinking on my part. Why would you even want LeBron? The Lakers would benefit a lot better with a good PG. Kobe+LeBron= biggest disaster in the NBA.

all I know is the Cleveland fans boo'ing LeBron at the game the other night and then the others that were calling in to radio shows verbally bashing him to hell... aren't very smart, might be their biggest mistake.
Then the owner coming out and being pissed off as well. I get all of their frustrations but they aren't doing themselves or their team any favors.

The hype for this game tonight feels like the biggest since Kings-Lakers game 7 in 2002 or whatever year that was

Absolutely amazing. I am shocked. Its just amazing considering how awful they looked all year to now.
Mike Brown should be fired right on the floor for how the Cavs handled the last 2 minutes and the Varrajeo nonsense

Jesus... the Cavs in the last six minutes of that game were absolutely brutal to watch. Blow that nonsense up.

Well, glad that's over.
The Celtics look like I imagined they would last Summer. Garnett looks strong, Rasheed is back.
If the Cleveland fans say he quit or whatever nonsense they can look no further than his triple double with 19 rebounds. Or they can replay this tape and hear Mike Breen, Jeff Van Gundy and Mark Jackson talking about the terrible defense of Mo Williams and company all night.
The Cavs really, really suck. I mean, they really do.
This was inevitable as long as LeBron's future was up in the air like this and players want to stand around and not rebound and play defense. The defense was terrible, absolutely some of the worst I've ever seen. Every time LeBron drove or had the ball nobody was meeting him for the pass or moving around, it was terrible.
And to those Celtics fans in the Garden tonight, I appreciate the New York Knicks chant at the end.
Makes you wonder if Dwayne Wade or Chris Bosh are getting any black berry messages tonight...

Even as a Lakers fan, it's kind of sad listening to ESPN Radio in Cleveland. Now there's a guy shouting about Shaq and his Mom's Bitrhday.

Mo Williams had 20 points in the first half.... and 2 in the second half. He's their starting point guard and had 4 assists.
Antawn Jamison had 5 points and got dunked on by Tony Allen.
Not one player besides LeBron had more than 7 rebounds. LeBron had 19 and a triple double.
The above comments and Mike Brown's coaching are pretty much why I think Cleveland would win 20 games without LeBron. The Celtics were still the 4th seed, without Garnett for a good part of the season.
... and that's pretty much all I have to say about LeBron James and the Cavs in 2009-10.

LeBron looked scared tonight. Jordan or Kobe would have taken over that fourth quarter, and gone down swinging. LeBron would get the ball and look to pass. Of course, he didn't have much movement on the court so its not like they were helping him out, but still, he didn't seem to really go for it until there was about 5 minutes left. Jaimson looked petrified this whole series. Instead of trying to win, he looked like he was playing trying not to lose. I don't think he has what it takes to be the number two of that team.
As for what happens with LeBron, I have no idea. I would think he'd stay in Cleveland because of the cast he has around him on paper, but they didn't help him out at all in this series. These next two months are going to be REALLY annoying, thats the one thing I am sure of.
