Just have to say that these really do look better in person. While i still do not like many of the heads these are real sweet. After a long in depth chat with the Mattel Staff and team Im not only a believer but a fan. Those guys were great, super cool, super excited, super genuine nice guys. They were so helpful and warm to me and my comments, any suggestions. I have to say they were mostly good comments. Right off the bat i asked if i was looking at production samples or prototypes, to my surprise they said production samples. WOW. They were all so finished looking, nice and dull no cheap shiny plastic. really well made soft goods, they looked too good to be production samples. I really got the feel from them that these are guys who love this stuff, they want to put great product out there and making money is not a priority, they want all the tattoos, designs, accessories, scales, new molds, you name it. They want this line to kick ass. Im excited to take these home! Here are my pics, enjoy!

Not bad figures, the detail is pretty good though but the headscans are still garbage, which I won't be buying them for. Miz, Kozolov and Carlito literally look intellectually- disabled, and since when did HBK have ginger hair?! Theres something about Ted DiBiase's headscan from side on that makes him look old. Orton's shirt texture looks more like his grandmother knitted it for him, Rey's shoulder ball joints are just smaller than his head, but the roundness of the two look the exact same. And lol at Orton not being bald.
Great pics though, cheers.

I don't believe they really think RA's are better. I just don't think they want to admit that their whole collection looks like complete sh*t next to what Mattel is coming out with. It is really that simple.

OH MY GOD! That kane is AWESOME!!! For once, he's tall, got proper boots, proper accurate tight designs and the exact headscan i wanted as well as a specific torso! BEST modern Kane in that scale for sure. Id take that Kane over any of the jakks RA or DAs. AWESOME!
As for other figs, unfortunately the scans on a few are pretty crappy, but some are brilliant and kick the crap out of jakks like Dibiase, Morrison, Henry and Santino. The attires are brilliant though, the detail is fantastic. They have ACTUAL molded fur boots, not just painted flat colours, for morrison! Awesome! And hornswoggle looks insanely good. In the whole scheme of things, some good, some bad with the bad mainly comin from the headscans. Jakks had to start out, some of their early scans were average, i think Mattel is going to grow. The attires are awesome though.

The problem is Mattel's head sculpts are lacking, but truth be told in every other way they pretty much are superior. It just sucks knowing that the Jakks heads are that much better. the subtleties are really lost in the Mattels. they look sort of undetailed and generic looking.

Definitely, thats pretty much my only gripe. They look a bit like BNB scans but enlarged. Some are fantastic though. I mean Jakks dibiases were amongst the worst scans ive ever seen but Mattel's is fantastic. Im sure over time they will get better with their headscan/sculpting technology and will lose the cartoony look. I mean look at Jakks, RA1 Chavos scan was pretty crappy, but jakks over time got better and better mastering most they did. Im sure Mattel will get better. Im so glad the Kane came out this well though. Puts Jakks to shame.

They're up-to-date with around the Wrestlemania 25 time frame. That's why Orton has hair. I'm expecting a lot of these to change or else Mattel will be behind a year with current outfits by the time these come out. Maybe that's just how the first few series will be?
These seem to be hit or miss in the faces. A lot of those scans are actually quite good, there's just a lot of them with hair painted with a solid color instead of being toned.
For the most part it looks like they are making parts on a need-to basis. I see a lot of shared torsos but they actually work well for the people they're based on. Guys like Kane are scaled properly from head to toe, Rey is smaller than the whole roster, Cryme Tyme isn't just recycled generic baggy jeans, Henry's body was made specifically for him, etc. They should make Finlay his own singlet but everything else looks pretty dang good. I mean look at that Khali!
There are a lot of details. Morrison, you can barely see it, but he has designs on the back of his legs. He has those bootcuffs molded on and not just painted on like all his Jakks figures. Taker's tats seem to be closer to his actual tats and wrap around his whole arm.
In the Elites HHH has his sledgehammer, so there's an actual accessory/weapon. Another thing that I noticed is that everyone gets their own hat mold. Taker's hat differs from Shawns, Miz has a totally unique hat that can only be used on him, etc. It's much better than what we're used to, and DAs are only like $2 cheaper. We'll get less "deluxe" accessories like old BCA benches that came packed with $6 figures at one time, random laptops, and of course the deluxe unpainted world title that was just like any other RA world title. Oh darn, what a loss.
There's room for improvement in a lot of the heads and other various things, but overall these are the very first few lines here, and I see a ridiculous amount of effort. The basic figures cost $10. That's pretty much the usual price point for RA now. The elites cost $15. DAs are usually between $12-13. So for around the same price we're getting something Jakks almost always lacks - honest to god genuine effort. That is awesome and makes me excited for this line.

thanks for the pics!...god Kozlov looks intellectually- disabled...Jericho looks awesome but looks a bit lifeless in terms of the scan...that Morrison is AWESOME!...the scan doesn't look screwed up, & the tights designs are all there except the sparkling effect on his red tights...definitely getting that....the Elite Edge looks a lot better than the proto...Christian looks alright, even though his scan looks like his TNA scan...is he in Elite or Basic form?....my only gripe about him is he's missing his wrist tape...Carlito & Primo look good too but Carlito's hair looks a little off

Okay, quite honestly, those who think Jakks is the better company are in need of an eye exam. Seriously, I mean, sure Mattel's heads aren't perfect, but do we have to pull up some images from the BCA line? Mattel has already blown half of Jakks' heads out of the water.
Now, let's take a look at the things Mattel has now given us and Jakks never did(and had ample time to):
-Correct scale.
-JTG's pant leg.
-Morrison's pants.
-Fully detailed Undertaker tattoos.
-Primo Colon
-A diva with her own sculpt.
-Custom accessories(hats, for example) for each figure.
-Kane w/correct boots.
-Different sizes and shapes for kneepads and elbow pads...
-Kanes, Jerichos, HBKs, etc. that have not violated the wellness policy.
Seriously, go ahead and complain about headsculpts(regardless of them not being that bad and it being Mattel's first try) and 'big' shoulder joints, sure they are a bit big, but, really? Really? I'd take slightly bigger shoulder joints over a 7-foot Evan Bourne, or a Chris Jericho with 52 inch pythons.
Mattel > Jakks, swallow your pride and admit it. It's like someone who's been eating craptheir entire life and is served a filet mignon for the first time, then they try to say... It's alright but I still like craptastes much better.
