Damn, I love this thread. Whoever first thought about an 'official tattoo thread' had a  ing hell of an idea. Thanks guys. I pay out the ass for them, but still manage a discount because my wife is friends with our tattoo artist. Believe it or not she has 75 tatts, with her most recent being a full Safari rib piece. She sits in the chair for eight hours at a time, doesn't complain one bit, and is tougher than anyone else that sets foot in the shop. Your wife is one hell of a trooper man, definitely plenty tougher than me. I don't think I could spend half of that time in one session. |

i usually tip my artist anywhere from 30 to 50, he usually hooks me up on the price so i like to take care of him. Your sig is beyond beautiful.... scene girls are so hot. Especially with ink like that. |

...you know, as lame as I think it is, every year WF has those, "end of the year awards" - I definitely think with all of the great ink just THIS far into the thread, we should have a "Tattoo of the Year Award".
Anyone with ink could pick out one of their tattoos, and enter it in, then everyone votes on who has the best outta the bunch.

Couple old photos I still have...  That one looks amazing , but for me it would be too much. If i was to get a tattoo i would want it to have a special meaning , not just because i got drunk off my ass I was drunk when I got that? |

If you don't mind me asking , how much do tattoos like that generally cost. Sorry, but as I rule I believe that if you want to talk prices, you need to talk to the tattoo artist. It would demean his work to a money amount, set a bar for what people expect to pay when going to him, and people could try to use it as leverage in getting a discount, or deter people from going to him for work. |

I got mine by the same guy that did my mom's tattoos, so he hooked me up. He usually charges $100 an hour, which is actually pretty good, and mine took about an hour and twenty minutes. Dude charged me $80.  |

yeah each artist charges differently. just remember that with a tattoo, you're gonna get what you pay for. most charge anywhere from $100 to $150 an hour. i'd actually walk out if an artist gave me a cheap price, i ould just be suspicious and nervous thati'd end up with a garbage looking tattoo.
and as for doomrider, apparently you were drunk off your ass for getting that? haha. some responses are just ridiculous. all good tattoo studios won't even let you get anything if you were drinking. you have some pretty sick artwork there.

Hell, if you could whip up a bomb, either the cartoony round kind, like what's in wingdings, or a more atomic lookin' bomb, done in a sorta Sailor Jerry style, with a little fire comin' up under it, and around the other side... I'd be freak'n stoked. Edit: Maybe even with a 'shark' face on the end of it. That'd be badass. Yes, I want a bomb because of my nickname. No matter how lame it may be. Suck it folks. |

Leo is my Zodiac sign, and I don't do drugs, so I figure Darren would be a cool design for me.

Always really liked your stuff, Andy. Really good tributes done beautifully. Are the masks done? I'd love to see some more color on them, maybe just me.
As far as Darren, I was thinking just from the waist up in a black DARE shirt, body maybe turned three quarters with his face straight ahead, an expression of sort of intensity (not quite anger, maybe like >:])
I was also thinking maybe at the bottom of the sleeve on the shirt you can see (http://www.psychics.co.uk/images/horoscope-leo.jpg) that symbol poking out as a tattoo on his arm.
Anything else is up to you, take full artistic liberty. And thanks by the way.
Unrelated, I really want to get some kind of Sailor Jerry piece but I'm not sure what of. I don't like the concept of luck, I don't want to get anything like skulls or daggers or anything, so I guess I just have to find something that suites me. I just realy like the style.
