Where did you get the outline for the state? It doesn't look that good. My leg right by my ankle. You guys are haters, like honestly, I think it looks good, it looks like michigan, and thats what I wanted, its simple, its clean, and its legit, just because he doesnt work in a shop doesnt mean he doesnt know how to tattoo. The part that looks bad is a bruise, I'll post pics when its 100% healed. By the way, I talked to my mom about it and shes not really even pissed, she was just surprised. No, we aren't 'haters' - in fact, this thread has been smooth sailing for the most part. However, you're out of your mind if you think people are going to applaud you going to someone who works out of their house illegally, without certification, and without a license. I don't care how long he has been tattooing, how many he has done, or if he's known the world over - if he, she, it, whatever doesn't have the proper stuff, like a LICENSE, proof they've passed a standardized competency test, have passed courses in bloodborne diseases given by the Board of Health, and have had their workplace pass inspections, I would not even consider letting them touch me with a machine. Laws and standards are put in place to protect you, I'm sorry you don't understand that. Please, call a reputable shop and ask if they recommend doing what you did and regard it as being safe.

Wow...that's weird...I don't know anyone that has ever bruised.... Yeah and not spending the money on your profession is a bit shitty. I'm a historian and probably have about $300 worth of random books on well history. Not really much considering it's the job that pays the bills.

Sorry I guess I phrased my question wrong. I understood you got it on your ankle. My question was where did you get the drawing or outline of the state, because it (the outline) doesn't look that good.

Get your mouthwash ready guys, cos what i'm about to say aint gonna go down well
Haters? you think we are haters because you got a tattoo from an unlicensed... well... i don't know what to call him as a tattooist would be an extreme compliment in his case so I’m going to refer to him as an idiot because what is what he is
And how dare you call us haters… we’ve tried to advise you and help you, just because we didn’t sugar coat things does not make us haters, it makes us good people… good people who are obviously wasting their time trying to advise someone who obviously has it set in their mind that what they think must be fact and you know what… we’ve lasted 40+ pages without a single fight or a single piece of proper negativity because we enjoy this thread and we respect what is put into this thread…
There have been opinions, views and tattoos in this thread that I hate, and I’m sure many others feel the same… but you look in this thread and aside from a few people who have only left one reply or so, we never ‘hate’ on people for what they do and what they say because I like to think that we respect each other in here (you may think of that as lame, I think of that as commendable)
Bottom line, if you can’t accept criticisms that are as justified as the ones said and you start thinking of us as haters… prepare to be hated

Ah, it. I'm a hater. The tattoo looks like shit, it's extremely stupid to get a tattoo from an unlicensed artist, and I've never had a tattoo that's "bruised" before, so enjoy the infection!

Today, my friend did the same thing.. he got a tattoo by a friend.
of his initials on his bicep.
"JD" it looks stupid. I told him it looks stupid. I made fun of him for it. I'm getting another tattoo tomorrow.

Tattoos bruise depending on the person's skin, where youre getting it, and if you move or not. I moved a little at one part, thats why theres a little bruise.

Ok... there are some haters.... but sean is like the member of the family that we all know, but we don't like to acknowledge love ya sean I figure if someone's gonna call me something, might as well live up to it. I have friends who do the whole tattoo thing, so it's not like I'm standing outside the situation, with no actual insight. I think its stupid, no matter how much you trust someone. Am I going to hound someone for doing whatever they want with their body? No. But that doesn't stop me from thinking its stupid and unsafe. I'm sure people look at my tattoos all the time and think "wow, what a waste of money" or " those look stupid". doesn't really bother me.

Oh okay so then I suppose everyone I know with tattoos just must be really good at sitting still. Could be that your friend has no clue what he's doing though as hmmm yeah the only person I know who bruised tattooed herself...see my cousin

A lot of people get bruises from tattoos. Sometimes it's because they bruise easy, sometimes it's because the artist was a bit heavy handed. It's definitely not something that's completely uncommon, it certainly doesn't mean his tattoo is "infected."

So I've been procrastinating again and now I'm getting tattooed in the summer, which I hate...Bacatracin, heat, and fatboy sweat don't mix.

I'm gonna be honest guy, and I know my states - if you hadn't told me that was Michigan, or, at the very least, a state, I'd be hard pressed to figure out what's on your ankle.

I can't honestly say I'd ever look at that tattoo and think "oh hey look..michigan" just saying.

It looks like a crime scene outline of where you spilled your food on your leg.

Never said it was infected...however based off his experience there's a good chance he could get infected.
