John Cena had to leave, would you do it? I'm talking about a business perspective here. Bret Hart cannot psychically wrestle another match, unless of course it's a 6 man tag where he only gets tagged in to lock the sharpshooter on somebody. But do you think that Bret coming back fully as Raw GM would make good business, if it meant tarnishing your merchandise sales? You would get a couple of old-school fans re-interested and would be a "bret" of fresh air... see what I did thar?

Yea i would do it because it opens up a spot for some one else to become the new face of the WWE.

If I was Vince I would keep Cena. Who will be making money for him in 10 years?

Honestly, I would keep Cena. Keeping Bret over Cena makes no sense at all.

While I wouldn't mind seeing Bret in a more permanent role, this is a no brainer from a business perspective. Bret's still popular in his own right, but his days of holding merch records are long gone. Cena is MUCH better for the WWE as a global company at this point. He's pretty much the only crossover star that WWE's created this decade.

I love Bret Hart, but I would never release John Cena for him.

From a business perspective, Cena easily would stay over Hart. From a fan's perspective, only if Bret was the last hope for a while of a permanent GM. Otherwise, as much as I'm tired of Cena's Superman routine, I'd keep Cena.

As much as I dislike Cena, that would be a bad move business wise. John Cena appeals to the kids and teenage girls. He sells a lot of merchandise and is without a doubt one of the biggest stars ever to step into a WWE ring. Personally I wouldn't mind if Cena pulled a "Rock Card" and left for Hollywood, but as far a business is concerned Vince is using Cena in all the right ways.

Definitely keep Cena. What point would there be to getting rid of your most popular and active superstar for a guy that you can't do much with?

What a stupid question.

Why the hell would we even need to choose between the two anyways? A hypothetical question with no actual bearing on reality...which isn't really even a hard choice in the first place.
Guy in his 50's- well past his prime who cannot even wrestle anymore...strictly on-screen in an authority role...Has a vendetta for many people in the locker room.
Or a guy just around 30, biggest crossover star since the Rock, most charisma out of the 'PG Era' created Main Eventers, goes full speed each and every time in the ring. Is a merchandise mammoth...hmm, I do not know.

If I could go back in time and get the young Bret Hart then this would be a smart move.

I dispise Cena, and his act is really getting stale. I'd take Bret over Cena reguardless of merch sales dropping. They easily make enough of merch without Cena's stuff.
