Slightly off-topic, but I used to enjoy having matches with the ring turned upside-down. OMG I used to do the same thing! Turn the ring upside down, then make it some sort of new gimmick match where I spread weapons all across the "ring" and had the hardcore title defended in a "over the edge" battle royal lol. My friend who had the Raw is War ring used to bring his over to my place and we'd attempt to stack the two on top of one another, rather right side up or upside down, but either way it was a ton of fun. I never even knew that there was a cage attachment for the Monster Rings! Actually, my parents had these large white metal shelves that were stackable, and they fit perfectly over the rings. Again, when my friend brought his ring over we'd have double cage matches, or World War "2" matches with cages which included over at least 80+ BCA's in the match itself.

I still have both the original version and RAW is WAR version.
These rings were perfect for BCA. The black RiW ring is probably my favorite ring of all time.

I never bought the monster ring, but had the old LJN one up until about a month ago. I gave it, along with a bunch of my LJN and OSFTM WCW figs, to my 2 year old son because he's obsessed with wrestling. He decided to stand in the middle of it and jump while watch AWA on ESPN....all 4 corners gave out.

I still have my old Raw Is War ring. Got it back in late '98 from KB Toys on Clearance for like $9.99.

COOL.
I have the original LJN Ring from the mid 1980's, which resembles this ring!
Got it for FREE - 2 years ago.
Someone was getting rid of it in thier garbage after a garagr sale.

I, for one, am jealous. Mine broke when I was younger and (stupidly) I tossed it. I'd still be using that thing now!

that ring is awsome. I almost won one of those on ebay MIB but got outbid. I did however win the raw is war version and its not too bad but I'd rather have the traditional one instead.

Yep. I have 2 of them.
This was my favourite ring until I got the RS HIAC last year.
Actually, I got pissed off at it a few weeks ago because it took over an hour to get all 4 posts out of the corners so I could put it back in the box. It took a knife, screwdriver, and hammer to accomplish that mission.
uggghh....

I have both of those rings still assembled sitting right here with my non RSR EC on top of my dresser. There were huuuge for BCAs, but I loved em. Not as much as I love my RSR though.

One thing I noticed about it now that I've had a couple days to mess around with it is that the ring posts don't cave in at all, which is awesome.
Not like some of the other rings out there that cost the same amount now as this ring did when it was out in retail.

Hey gang. Back after a long time! Any suggestions for ring rope replacements for the WWF jakks monster ring? Mine is in great shape minus the ropes lol. I've searched the net high and dry and found nothing. Any ideas?

I've searched the net high and dry and found nothing. Any ideas? I can't believe more people don't already know this. Just search on ebay: "Red elastic cord 2.5mm" Really cheap, and the EXACT thing used for wrestling rings. Plus come in a whole variety of colours. I'll pm you because we can't post links to ebay here.
