Hey gang. Back after a long time! Any suggestions for ring rope replacements for the WWF jakks monster ring? Mine is in great shape minus the ropes lol. I've searched the net high and dry and found nothing. Any ideas? Have you tried the Classifieds yet? Someone there might be able to help. Also, if you're unable to find the ropes by themselves, eBay regularly has affordable listings for loose, complete Monster Rings. You might also look for the LJN Wrestling Ring with parts that are identical to the Jakks version. I can't believe more people don't already know this. Just search on ebay: "Red elastic cord 2.5mm" Really cheap, and the EXACT thing used for wrestling rings. Plus come in a whole variety of colours. I'll pm you because we can't post links to ebay here. This is a fantastic recommendation. Thanks for the tip.

Congrats on the find. I had both earlier versions as a kid and eventually got rid of them when they were no longer in playing shape. The regular Jakks Monster Ring had a huge crack through the center of the ring and the Raw Is War Monster Ring had been customized so much that it hardly looked like the original. I went several years without owning one, but I bought both versions mint in their boxes in the last year or two and opened them to put together and display. I posted loose pics of both rings on the Loose Jakks Database forums; here are the links: WWF Monster Ring (1996) - loosejakks.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=wrestlingrings&action=display&thread=1173&page=1WWF Raw Is War Monster Ring (1997) - loosejakks.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=wrestlingrings&thread=1287&page=1#8031It is definitely my second favorite ring behind the Real Scale Ring, but I have way more memories playing with my old Monster Rings than anything else. Battle royals with my friends were the best, even though the scale was completely off for BCA figures (again, because it was an LJN repaint). Current Jakks DA figures don't look too bad in them. Also, there was at least one other repaint (or, rather, version with different stickers) of the Monster Ring released years later (2002, I believe) that came in a K-Mart Exclusive "Big & Badd" boxed set with four 12 inch RVD, Chris Jericho, Booker T, and Triple H figures. would Love it someone could find a pic of this exclusive version

would Love it someone could find a pic of this exclusive version This one? It's basically the same as the Raw Is War Monster Ring, save for the apron stickers.

I used to have the red, white and blue one. I had so many good times with that thing. I remember my parents and my cousins parents surprised us both with those on the same day. It was the first toy ring I ever had, for years before that I had all my matches on the floor just imaging there was a ring. Good memories.

Wow that one with the 12 inch figures is wierd. I've never seen that before.
I used to have the red/black one, and I used that one so much. It was very fun, and because I didn't have the catapaults that came with another smaller Attitude ring, I just launched my figures at each other by pulling them back on the ring ropes of this monster ring. They could hold incredible tension, meaning they sprung up with such velocity! But my figures had seen better days after that lol.

Is there any current cage out right now that would fit the monster ring?

Is there any current cage out right now that would fit the monster ring? I don't know about a current cage, but the classic LJN cage from the mid-80s is the one true, perfect fit. Here's mine:

I've been wondering, what do the Mattel elites look like in the Monster Ring?

That looks so cool with your BCA figures. Just reminds me of how fun those really are. I think because of the lack of modern articulation, they require more imagination. That's why I always had way more fun with those than the later figures.
Also it makes sense that cage fits that ring - the Monster Ring is an LJN original sculpt. Later bought and re-released under Jakks Pacific.

I've been wondering, what do the Mattel elites look like in the Monster Ring? Somebody wanted Mattel figs in a Jakks Monster Ring.....and somebody wanted pics of different Elite HHH's (sorry one was MOC) Not bad. Still out of scale, but there is certainly plenty of room. Thanks for the quick reference pic, East Coast.

would Love it someone could find a pic of this exclusive version This one? It's basically the same as the Raw Is War Monster Ring, save for the apron stickers. Are those early TTLs or are they those weird BCA-ish figs they made when they brought the line back as a KB exclusive? If it's the latter, then I'm sure that set was a KB exclusive too.

Here's mine: I believe the Monster Ring was a re-release of the LJN ring so it makes since they the cage would fit. I've never seen the cage in person though, it looks good with the BCAs. Especially Vader and Warrior, they were two of my favorites from the line.

No, those are 12-inch figures similar to the Ringside Rebels line. MUCH bigger than BCA or TTL figures. I've heard the set was exclusive to K-Mart stores in November 2002, and it retailed for $64.99. Also it makes sense that cage fits that ring - the Monster Ring is an LJN original sculpt. Later bought and re-released under Jakks Pacific.I believe the Monster Ring was a re-release of the LJN ring so it makes since they the cage would fit. Both are true statements. There wouldn't be a Monster Ring were it not for the LJN "Sling 'Em-Fling 'Em" Wrestling Ring released 30 years ago.

I wish I still had mine(raw is war version). To me the spot where the middle rope is was perfect scale for a top rope for BCA's, so what I did was chop the posts off just above there, placed the third rope below the others and used a pair of red rubber bands to hold it in place. Tough to describe without pics I guess but it looked great. Customized one the same way for a friend back then as well. Loved the size, my only gripe is that there wasn't much of an apron for guys to stand on for tag matches.

Just out of curiousity, what were those ringside rebels (12" figures) like in the monster ring? I've always wondered this.
