Earlier today, I was cleaning out the closet in our guest room and I can't believe what I found!
After 6 or so years of completely forgetting that I had this, I find this baby still intact, ropes and everything is still in pretty darn good condition. Many epic matches were held in this ring with the 70+ Bone Crunchin' Action figures that I have, which I also found today.
Does anyone else have one of these lying around? I think there was an identical one to this but it was black ring with red ropes and had Raw Is War on the side of it.
Just thought I'd post the pic for nostalgia!

Is that about the same size as a JAKKS Real Scaled Ring?

Is that about the same size as a JAKKS Real Scaled Ring? Well, I just measured it and it measures 17'' x 17'', and 10'' high from base to the top of the ring post. However, the surface area of the ring mat only measures just over 15'' x 15''. Not bad for something that was $29.99 at K-Mart back in 1996 lol.

I still have mine (minus 1 turnbuckle) in pretty good shape. Great matches I had back in 1996!

I have two of the black and red ring...a little worse for wear. I've replaced that with the ring from the cell which I think is the best!

I used to have that but the ropes got shitty. It was really big and I was happy with it...but then my lovely mother threw it out when I was ten and I've been stuck with a spring ring ever since.

I had the black ring. When we were moving into our house I found it in my storage unit, so I gave it to my nephew. He was excited to have his first wrestling ring.

I still have mine. I had the black raw is war ring. I got it for my birthday one year from my grandma. I remember she ordered it through a JCpenny catalogue and it came with a Stone Cold and Undertaker figure as well, plus a couple of these stupid catapult things that you were supposed to set the figures on and it flung them into the ring.

Ive got like 4 of these things. I kept buying them and then my brother would buy them as well. I think we had a 6 ring world war 3 one time.

Congrats on the find. I had both earlier versions as a kid and eventually got rid of them when they were no longer in playing shape. The regular Jakks Monster Ring had a huge crack through the center of the ring and the Raw Is War Monster Ring had been customized so much that it hardly looked like the original. I went several years without owning one, but I bought both versions mint in their boxes in the last year or two and opened them to put together and display. I posted loose pics of both rings on the Loose Jakks Database forums; here are the links: WWF Monster Ring (1996) - loosejakks.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=wrestlingrings&action=display&thread=1173&page=1WWF Raw Is War Monster Ring (1997) - loosejakks.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=wrestlingrings&thread=1287&page=1#8031It is definitely my second favorite ring behind the Real Scale Ring, but I have way more memories playing with my old Monster Rings than anything else. Battle royals with my friends were the best, even though the scale was completely off for BCA figures (again, because it was an LJN repaint). Current Jakks DA figures don't look too bad in them. Also, there was at least one other repaint (or, rather, version with different stickers) of the Monster Ring released years later (2002, I believe) that came in a K-Mart Exclusive "Big & Badd" boxed set with four 12 inch RVD, Chris Jericho, Booker T, and Triple H figures.

I had the big black and red one, but the ropes got really loose from a buddy of mine using it to play with figures ... he'd always stick his arms through the ropes, and stretch them.
I ended up throwing it out last year after putting it on a local eBay-type site for about a month at $10, and nobody wanted it.
Nice find ... and thanks for posting pics, it brings back some memories....

chicago,
Thank you so much for providing those links. I haven't seen those boxes since I bought the ring back in 1996. MAJOR nostalgia bomb lol.
Like yourself, I remember having epic matches with elaborate storylines and characters being involved. Jakks usually included a weapon or some sort of accessory with each figure, so by the time I had amassed the collection I have now of BCA's, I had enough accessories to properly create a backstage area, a dressing room with lockers and furniture and many more places backstage or wherever I could come up with an idea for.
I think RA/CS figures are in okay scale with the Monster Ring, but I haven't had the chance to try using any DA figures in it yet so I wouldn't know about those. The BCA figures were clearly too small, as the top rope was over their heads. But at an early age, I never really minded it. It was the best ring available of its time and continued to be IMO until the RSR was released.

No problem. I've been a BCA fanatic for years and didn't really start to appreciate them until I started rebuilding my collection in the summer of 2007.
I wish I had the same dedication and imagination as you for creating your own BCA universe, so to speak. I doubt I could have pulled that off as a kid, and especially not now as an adult.
For some reason, even though the scale is off, I still feel that BCAs were meant for that ring. There was just too much space for it to go to waste and every other ring besides the RSR has/had limited mat space, in my opinion.
And that goes for the Attitude and Hardcore Rings, too.
Slightly off-topic, but I used to enjoy having matches with the ring turned upside-down.
Also, one thing I still want to track down is the old blue LJN steel cage attachment for the Monster Ring; it's a shame Jakks never attempted their own cage for it before the Attitude Ring was introduced in 1998.
