Orton, Dibiase, Bourne, Henry, Kofi, Jericho, Santino are miles ahead where theyre Jakks oppopsites were at. Mattel's worst head is still better than Jakks best IMO, so i dont see where the complints are. The Elite Orton maybe y favorite scan of all time.

The way I see it, yeah the headscans are pretty bad and like some people have said, Jakks are pretty bad as well but the likeness was still there. To me, Mattel Miz, Morrison and Swagger have the bare minimum resemblence and after seeing the Elite HBK which didn't even look like him to start off with but then he had ginger hair as well. For people to prefer those Mattel scans over Jakks ones is just laughable. Some fool will probably consider that trolling but I don't care  |

Sure real scan technology has been around awhile but that doesn't mean Mattel has much experience with it. Last I checked Superman, Batman, & Barbie aren't real people. Give Mattel time to work with it and see what happens in a few more months. They are off to a good start in my opinion. Even toward the end Jakks had some bad scans. Some people seem to conveniently forget that.  |

Some Mattel scans are way better than their Jakks counterparts, like Evan Bourne, Kofi Kingston, & Ted DiBiase...but some like Swagger, Kozlov, & Morrison, not yet

That's the horrible ass tongue out scan!!! How can you sit there and honestly believe that scan is better than the Mattel scan? That is about as ugly as the Jack Swagger scan we got. Which is downright f***ing pathetic. I guess u must be quite new on the boards cos when his DA figure came out with this scan, people were all over it  Compare it to  See the similarity? |

But you don't think it's just a LITTLE goofy having his tongue out like that? I mean, George Steele is one thing... but for people who use their figures and play with them, that just had to be awkward. If I did play with my figures, I'd prefer the dudes to not lick each other.

you're right...things are bound to get better (if possible). The only thing I wish is the figs came with better boots.

I would argue that the last Mark Henry and Jericho that Jakks made were just as good if not better then Mattel. Ortons is a toss up to me, they both have goods and bads but I dont think neither have captured his most recent looks well. Mattel DiBiase is miles and miles and miles a head of the Jakks one though |

The best scans in the world don't make up for the lack of details, paint apps, and consistent reuse of the same damn bodies OVER AND OVER for years to me. Jakks figures look  ing stupid as **** to me, and no argument is going to change that. EXACTLY, Jakks had some great scans but they also had plenty of garbage scans, mixed with their lack of detail, reuse of parts, not using proper parts when they had the molds, and no care for attention to scale makes Jakks fail in comparison IMO |

psssh...That Triple H scan is godawful and the dijon mustard hair makes it far worse. That Punk scan isn't all that great either. They are getting better and I have stated this recently, but I still think the first batch were terrible. The Trips is terrible, the Undertaker is terrible, the Kofi is terrible, the Batista is terrible with his peanut head, The Big Show is a nightmare, the Edge is an abortion, the Carlito is an abomination, the Primo is terrible, the Morrison is terrible...terrible terrible TERRIBLE!!!! They have gotten quite a bit better thank goodness. I hope they keep up the good work such as Jericho, Orton, Mark Hank, Kane, Beth and Santino, etc....I hope that Regal is great in particular. That won't be out til I get back to the States, but it is one of my most wanted...though the others were just plain bad. You just went through basically every single one and said they sucked. Now, I give my opinions on the ones you've bashed. Batista - Better than anything Jakks gave us, even their straight-faced scan. Edge - Cocky smirk, spot on. Punk - Another cocky style smirk, spot on. Big Show - Angry grunting scan, looks good. Look at the angry scan we got from Jakks. Terrible. Carlito - Better than the 3 that Jakks gave us. Primo - Never got one from Jakks [Micro Aggression did not count as a figure line to me]. So for the first ever scan of Primo, it's good. Morrison - The only one that I agree with you on. Morrison's isn't that great. Triple H - Have you seen Triple H, not wrestling? His hair is just as blonde as can be. So the hair color is fine. Kofi - He's seen smiling more than the serious headscan that Jakks gave us over and over. Undertaker - That scan is much better than what Jakks gave us. 1.) That damn tongue sticking out scan was garbage. You wanna call a scan garbage? Call that scan garbage over Mattel's scan. I did nothing of the sort. The ones I said were bad I found terrible. I switched the Takers' head with the last Jakks head because it is far superior. The tongue out head I hate, but the next one was great. I even switched Edge to the bearded head because I would rather have an awesome head with an excellent likeness and have it a little too large than have a head which is in scale but looks nothing like who it is supposed to look like. I did the same with that terrible Batista peanut head and the ridiculous dijon mustard Triple H head. The Trips and Taker heads fit perfectly and look 50,000 times better than the garbage garbage garbage Mattel scans. I guess you missed the part where I said that they were getting better and named heads that I thought were good. |

I think the scans are the only GOOD thing about mattel's new figures. I think the bodies look ridiculous.

When people see the protos they are like "Ewww WTF im not getting those." But when they see the figure MOC and the final product they end up buying it. Im just saying that Mattel have better MOC Pics or final pics than Protos unlike Jakks.

Mattel for the most part does offer pretty good scans as far as I'm concerned. Mark Henry's scan is amazing as is Kane's. The only one that I've been iffy on was Jack Swagger's...but it seems nobody can get his scan right.

I think Rey showed us how good Mattel's scans are when he repainted the Elite Taker. It showed that the likeness was there if painted correctly (which Mattel does need to work on) But that came out better than any Jakks Taker scan.
There's a couple scans from Mattel that I have problems with. Those being -
Rey - Something about the bottom of the mask makes it look like he has no throat.
Swagger - It might just be because I can't stand the guy, but I don't like the figure (I think it's the hair)
Morrison - While it's better in person...It's still missing something that makes it Morrison.
But in my opinion the rest are just as good or better than Jakks versions.
I think Mattel's Orton is by far their best work. I used to think the last RA Orton scan and DA Ortons were great especially DA1 & DA22, but after getting the Elite 2 Orton this week I can't even look at the DA's anymore. After Orton I'd say Mattel also hit homeruns with Henry, Austin, DiBiase, Batista & Kane. (All of which I think are better than Jakks)
Although I will say they need to work on the guys that have sperate hair pieces. Triple H & Edge look like they are wearing toupees. While some aren't as bad as others I've seen many of both that the hair just doesn't fit into the hairline correctly. I'm hoping they do one of two things - Either the fabricator starts lining them better or they do what Jakks did with many of their heads and have the hairline sculpted to the head and then add the hair piece from in the hairline like they did with figures like CS1 Bret and CS4 Piper to name a couple.
