Not again. The injury plague that haunted the UFC through early winter has reared it's ugly head again. Kevin Iole of Yahoo tweets the sad news.
Vitor Belfort is injured (shoulder) and off UFC 112 title fight with Anderson Silva. Confirmed by Dana White. More details to come.
We'll have more on this breaking news in a bit. Mr. Chael Sonnen, your wish has been granted.

I was looking forward to this fight so much...more than any other upcoming fight..
wow. I don't know what to say. I hope Chael Sonnen loses...but I thought Marquardt would f***ing destroy Sonnen and that didn't happen so I don't even know anymore...

He's got a no contact 30 day suspension. I'm doubting he'll be ready to go properly by 4/12. I say push it back a month or so.

It isn't going to be Chael so soon after the Nate fight & that sick cut.
Really who else is there?
Marquardt just lost. Maia lost to Nate & hardly looked impressive in winner over Miller. Can't think of anyone else deserving the shot.
Either push the fight back as event already has the LW Title BJ/ Edgar which could be main & then Hughes/ Renzo bumps up to the co-main.
OR make it a LHW superfight instead.
