It was a great event that shows when WWE still wants to go all out, they do it better than anyone. It was NOT a great event. Maybe to a newer fan like yourself it was a great event, but to a long-time old-school fan like myself, it was downright ing awful. And they do NOT do it better than anyone either. I do believe UFC has been crushing them in terms of PPV buys for a long time now. It's almost like all of the old-school fans like myself have ditched wrestling all together and made the switch to MMA/UFC. I find that MUCH more enjoyable than the trash WWE puts on. Wrestling is just too fake for me to like anymore. I mean, come on. Did you see Cena's STF last night?? The idiot can't even lock it on properly and they want all of us to believe it's actually painful and made Batista tap out. Sorry man, not buying it. All of my buddies who used to love watching wrestling for years and years have all ditched it and made the change to UFC. We all enjoy that FAR more than what WWE has become. It just bothers me that what I once loved and watched so faithfully for so many years turn into. Long story short, I just can't ing stand what WWE has become. It's awful. Just too much of the same repetitive crap over and over again. I hate wrestling now. Far too fake for my liking.

That idiot Meltzer said that the HBK-Taker match already has Match of the Year locked up for the 2nd straight year.Glad he can predict the future. Is there anything that 'expert" can't do??? Flair/HBK wo it in 2008 for the emotion alone. And I'll be hoest, that wasn't a great match. So he's right. It'll take a hell of a lot to unseat this match as MOTY

Maybe but it helped it was on the biggest PPV of the year that had the atmosphere to help it out plus,we have like 8 more months to go yet in this year, way too early to say that.

Little review on my thoughts of WrestleMania XXVI:
ShoMiz vs Wisdom & Truth 'Why bother?' match, lasted all of 5 minutes. Instead of short changing this match, why didn't they shed off some pointless minutes of Bret/Vince for this? Rating: *
Orton vs Rhodes vs DiBiase Enjoyable match for what it was, Orton was super over. Nice to see the old Orton pose back again and some dissention between Rhodes & DiBiase. Rating: **1/2
Money in the Bank Ladder Match Barely any unique or creative spots. Kofi's ladder stilts were quite impressive as was Bourne's Shooting Star Press, but apart from that, very lacklustre. I hate to say this, but it seems WWE's creative team have lost most of their creativeness since WWE became PG. Thank god McIntyre didn't win. Real shame Christian didn't. But Swagger won, so it evened out in the end. Rating: **
Triple H vs Sheamus Decent match but nothing special. To be fair though, I wasn't really interested in this match so it may have clouded my judgment. For once I'm glad HHH got the win. Rating: **
Rey Mysterio vs CM Punk Best match of the card so far. Rey's botched entrance was kinda stupid. Dissapointed to see Mysterio win as I feel Punk deserved it and it would have helped to continue the feud. Rey as a member of the SES would have been interesting. Ah well. Good match nontheless. Rating: ***
Bret Hart vs Mr. McMahon We go from the best match so far, to the worst one. God awful. One of the worst Mania matches of all time IMO. Could the bookers have done a worse job of booking this one? No offense from Vince at all, Bret looked pathetic and the Hart family twist was unneeded. Rating: Dud
Chris Jericho vs Edge Maybe it's the Jericho and Edge mark inside of me, but I really enjoyed this match. Better than Mysterio/Punk IYAM. It was a good way to get the taste of Vince/Bret out of my mouth. Glad Jericho won, although I knew he would. Very good match overall. Rating: ****
10-Divas Tag Team Match Complete botchfest. Fortunately, it was quick and painless. Not sure why the faces were lead by Eve Torres of all people, but yeah. Divas looked hot, but didn't impress at all. Slightly better than Vince/Bret though. Rating: 1/2*
John Cena vs Batista Good match, albeit predictable. Just as good as Punk/Rey imo, and better than their SummerSlam 2008 match. All the weeks of buildup and intense promos were worth it, Cena/Batista definitely delivered. Hoping to see the feud continue after Mania. Rating: ***1/2
Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker I'm torn on this match. First of all, it wasn't as good as last year's. A lot of it felt the same. HBK's retirement added a lot to this match, and without the Streak vs Career stipulation, I feel this match wouldn't have been as good. Great match still, although most of it I spent laughing because of my brother's classic jokes. Rating: ***
So from worst match to best, this is how I saw Mania.
1. Bret Hart vs Mr. McMahon 2. 10-Divas Tag Team Match 3. ShoMiz vs Wisdom & Truth 4. Triple H vs Sheamus 5. Money in the Bank Ladder Match 6. Orton vs DiBiase vs Rhodes 7. Rey Mysterio vs CM Punk 8. The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels 9. Batista vs John Cena 10. Chris Jericho vs Edge

I liked how Bourne had a chance to grab the briefcase and instead decided to do a SSP off of the ladder. Not very logical but I guess that is the case in wrestling.

It was a great event that shows when WWE still wants to go all out, they do it better than anyone. It was NOT a great .....crap over and over again. I hate wrestling now. Far too fake for my liking. See, people like you, I don't understand it really. Here you are going on about how much you hate wrestling and how you've switched to MMA and yet, you have done nothing but post on a WrestleMania thread on a wrestling toy website for the past ten hours. WTF is wrong with you? Are you just looking for a fight? I fight it hard to believe people like you still exist, this thirty-something trolling a wrestling toy forum to bash professional wrestling. Here's an idea ....if you hate wrestling, then don't ing watch it and furthermore if you did watch it and hated it that much, then make your point on move on, to keep going on and on about it show a severe lack of both maturity and life skills. As far as MMA, I like MMA too, but it's apples and oranges dude. I like welterweight boxing too, but that doesn't mean I compare it to prowrestling, one is a sport and the other is a staged exhibition. If wrestling is too staged for your taste, then move on, you're obviously an intelligent and passionate person, so just let it go. I know it sucks when something you loved has evolved into something else. I feel the same way about heavyweight boxing, it's ing ridiculous now, but when I saw my feelings starting to change, I quit buying 60$ PPVs and posting about it on message boards. Did I feel the same about last night's Mania as I did WrestleMania IV? No, but then again I was a little kid and the wrestlers were superheroes to me back then too. Now it's about watching it for fun and a bit of nostalgia. Anyone that says that last night's show sucked is delusional and just looking to vent frustrations that are coming from somewhere else. Do I wish that there'd been different outcomes? Absolutely, but as a fan, that should always be the case. Wrestling angles and outcomes should make you a little angry and some should make you happy and some should make you ecstatic. Cena can't execute an STF like Chono or Thesz or even Erik Watts, but to the 70 thousand there and millions watching, nobody really cared. And I despise John Cena, but then again, wrestling is for a different demographic a different age group now than my old ass. I've accepted that and enjoy what I can from it and the other stuff I let go. Because utlimately it's a show that I enjoy more than I dislike and if the ratio becomes reversed then I'll stop watching it and you damn sure won't see me continually posting on a toy forum about how much better MMA is than wrestling. IF you didn't enjoy Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker and the ending, then you are not and have not ever been a real wrestling fan.

I have nothing against UFC/MMA, but honestly, they are nothing like wrestling. Comparing them and saying "UFC is better" is stupid, because their similarities stop at the fact that contests are contested in a ring.
WWE has said time and time again that they don't consider UFC their competition, and vice versa. If you enjoy UFC, that's great, but there's no use coming here and saying all the old school fans have switched from WWE to UFC. It's not like UFC's product is comparable to WWE in the 80's or 90's.
It's almost like saying, "I used to watch wrestling, but football is just so much better".
I watch the occasional UFC fight, and sometimes I enjoy it, but more often than not, I feel like I'm just watching two guys hug each other for a while, and then hit each other with the occasional punch or kick. I know that there's far more to it, but again, thats what makes it so incredibly different from wrestling as a whole.

First off, Comcast for having a shitty feed. I am definatly getting a refund after getting to see about 1/2 of the PPV without scratches and half images and shit. Second off, thank god for the replay. Third off, as usual, I enjoy the out of WM. It's the only card of the year I just sit back and enjoy the show. Taker/HBK 2 lived up to my expectations.

To be honest, it's not bad that Swagger botched the end, it made you think if someone will knock him off or something. Shame nobody did. I still can't believe they gave him the case - someone who not long ago was jobbing to Santino. It would've been better if McIntyre had won it - at least he had a set-up going into the match. Swagger is terrible - and I hope he's the first to cash in and lose. Christian should've won.

Jack Swagger gets booed, he does his job. Drew McIntyre gets crickets.

I gotta say, I jumped out of my seat screaming when Matt came to knock McIntyre off the ladder. I really thought Drew was going to take it right there.

If you really think that is more of a spectacle than WWE, which is laughable. WWE has not gotten way worse, or gotten too fake... you've grown up you intellectually- disabled person. Go away and stop crapping on WWE, on a forum made for people who love WWE to chat on. Nobody thinks you're cool because you watch UFC, or because you're an 'old-school' fan, or whatever. WrestleMania 26 was a great show.
