Just watched, and I thought it was a good show.
With that being said, I'm glad I decided to wait a day, and not spend 65 bucks on it. Not even close to being worth that.

These are my ratings for the matches from last night. I LOVED the show unlike some other "Old-School" fans, this 22 year fan enjoyed what was WM 26:
ShowMiz-RTruth/Morrison- * Legacy Explodes- *** MITB VI- ***1/4 HHH-Sheamus- **** (I thought this was a star making performance for Sheamus, the kid can hang) Mysterio-Punk- ***1/2 (the best action you'll get in 6 minutes I thought) Bret-Vince- DUD/***** for entertainment value though Edge-Y2J- ****1/4 Divas 10 Women tag- DUD Cena-Batista- **** Undertaker-HBK- ***** (Best main event WM has ever had.)

the star-studded match was hbk and taker everyone knew that since lasts year. batista vs john cena not the greatests match but it was good especially seeing cena flip over batista however i would like cena doing a money in the bank next yea for wrestlemania or maybe trying to face taker which will be 19-0 jericho vs edge excellent anticipated match that had its ways especially those two trynig to copy each others finishers but it was great. bret vs vince worse match of the night but im not gonna drop it as low as the divas match.

I have nothing against UFC/MMA, but honestly, they are nothing like wrestling. Comparing them and saying "UFC is better" is stupid, because their similarities stop at the fact that contests are contested in a ring. WWE has said time and time again that they don't consider UFC their competition, and vice versa. If you enjoy UFC, that's great, but there's no use coming here and saying all the old school fans have switched from WWE to UFC. It's not like UFC's product is comparable to WWE in the 80's or 90's. It's almost like saying, "I used to watch wrestling, but football is just so much better". I watch the occasional UFC fight, and sometimes I enjoy it, but more often than not, I feel like I'm just watching two guys hug each other for a while, and then hit each other with the occasional punch or kick. I know that there's far more to it, but again, thats what makes it so incredibly different from wrestling as a whole. all wrestling is two half naked oily men rolling around the ground As I stated, I know there is far more to it than what I said, but I simply stating the fact that people can, and often do, make the same generalizations about UFC that they do about WWE.

Comparing UFC to WWE is like comparing basketball and ballet, it's too goddamn easy to say which one is better. They're practically two different fields of entertainment that barely share common ground. It's almost unfair actually to even try and compare the two. As far as men fighting each other in a wrestling ring-like atmosphere, it's really not the same thing at all when you think about it. For an old school fan like yourself, this should have been clear to you since day one. Winners aren't predetermined in UFC, it's a test of strength and skill I would say. You could be as built as Tito Ortiz in the WWE but you could still lose depending on what the booker sees fit for the current storyline. Hell, Shawn Michaels beat Kurt Angle in a great wrestling match where Kurt Angle was clearly the favorite to win just on his look alone. I'm an old school wrestling fan myself but there's clearly no comparison with the WWE and UFC. Wrestlemania was great and if you've moved on from wrestling, well that's your choice but don't sht on these other guys because they enjoyed the ppv.

Just saw the divas match. LOL at Vickie. She sure got her ass beat by everyone. I like the finishers even if some were not pulled off so great. The ending was pretty bad. I mean at least tell Vickie how to pin right! Pretty bad but I had no hopes for it and hey at least a woman actually won?! On a different note, they should sell "Excuse Me!" shirts!

Now that I've had time to digest the show, I'll give my analysis.
The Tag match ended really abruptly when I was starting to really get into it. The pairing of R-Truth and Morrison seems pretty random to me, but they're developing a bit of chemistry together. I would not have been surprised if they took home the belts, but I'm glad ShowMiz retained.
The Orton/Rhodes/DiBiase was an interesting one. I think it was pretty much conceded that at some point Rhodes and DiBiase would turn on each other, and that sometimes can leave the audience less than spellbound. What I enjoyed about this match is that even though the conflict was grossly predictable, the match still came off as somewhat memorable, which is a big pat on the back to these three guys. Orton proved that he is definitely in that top echelon in the company, and the two youngsters, while still looking fairly green, did their job. I think DiBiase has a bigger future than Rhodes, mostly because of body shape and whatnot - not because Rhodes is any less talented.
I was, and still am a little bit on the fence about the Money in the Bank match. Ten participants was definitely overkill. The way the match is set out, each spot or action in the ring is done in pairs or groups of three, which means with ten competitors it leaves seven or eight guys just laying on the outside which makes things look really tacky. I say they should've left it at six wrestlers in the match. I thought last night was a real chance for Evan Bourne to shine. Had I booked this match, I would've let Evan hit a massive spot - something that Jeff Hardy would be proud of. Evan is capable of that sort of thing, and if the WWE are legitimately going to push him, a massive spot at WrestleMania would burn him into the memories of everybody watching, thus giving him more recognition and a bigger reaction at live shows. Swagger winning surprised me somewhat, because I thought for sure this was Christian's chance. I'm still apprehensive about Swagger, but I'm willing to give him a chance.
The match between Triple H and Sheamus was definitely passable. It looked pretty decent when the pace began to pick up near the finish. For the life of me I cannot understand why Triple H went over. Sheamus had everything to gain, and Triple H had nothing to lose so the result is a little mystifying to me.
Punk's promo prior to his match with Mysterio was absolute magic. The real beauty of it is that it was so simple. It's essentially a promo he's already done rehashed and reworded, but he is just gold on the mic. How someone can work a crowd of 70,000+ beats me, but Punk managed to do it. Absolutely brilliant. Mysterio's Avatar get-up was a little tacky for my liking, especially the ponytail. The match was maybe a little too short, but it served its purpose and the crowd seemed to dig it.
The hype video for McMahon/Hart gets me every time. I've probably watched it about four times in the past two days, and it's just incredible. As a few have already have said, this wasn't so much about the match as it was about the moment. Although the chairshots got tedious after a while, I don't think you can begrudge Hart, McMahon or the writers for the segment.
I thought Jericho and Edge was a really well-paced match. The pacing had a Jericho feel to it, so I wouldn't be surprised if he was leading Edge out there. There's not much else to say about the match really, other than I'm glad Jericho won. The post-match spear may have been a little unnecessary also.
The Divas tag match was a disaster, but hilarious at the same time. I think it's Eve who attempts what looks like a Rolling Thunder on Maryse and totally misses. Had me in stitches. Then we had Vickie jumping off the top rope and botching a cover. Champagne wrestling.
Batista and Cena for the strap was, I felt, a really slow match. Maybe it was just me, but at times it just seemed like they were in slow motion after Cena was hit with that vicious DDT that spiked his head. I enjoyed the finish and Cena celebrating with his haters was funny and showed that it's just water off a duck's back to him. Oh, and I forgot to mention... what a lame entrance.
I think I enjoyed this year's Taker/Michaels more than last year's. The added emotion reeled me in massively. One thing I've noted a couple of times is how after the two young stallions of the company, Cena and Batista put on a sluggish match, the two veterans with shot knees, backs, hips and the rest, are able to put on a fast-paced classic. Awesome way for Michaels to go out, and while I'll miss him, he's retired at the right time. He's retired while people still care about him, which is a mistake some wrestlers have made my hanging around too long and it's almost a relief when they leave. HBK can hold his head up high and be proud of this being his last match.
Ultimately I thought the show was really good quality wise, but the WrestleMania atmosphere was lacking at times. I personally can't wait until WM30 when they're back at the Garden and return to that confined atmosphere. While the big stadiums are impressive, every wrestler seems like a big fish in a little pond out there in the ring, and it's tough to play to a crowd that large.

First time ordering a PPV and even though the matches were short and the title matches didnt get enough time, it was fun to watch. Rey/Punk and Taker/Shawn kept me at the edge of my seat and I loved it. It was especially fun watching with a friend who was a HUGE taker mark and most times picked the other person to win. I will give a review later if I have time but I would have to say the 3 best matches were:
1. Streak vs Career 2. Rey vs Punk 3. Edge vs Jericho

I gotta say, I jumped out of my seat screaming when Matt came to knock McIntyre off the ladder. I really thought Drew was going to take it right there. Same here. Again, that Match had me as emotionally vested as I have been in quite a while. Also, kudos to dwight. Great post.

Watched in full again today and honestly this is one of the best WM's ever tbh. It was a good WM, but I don't think it was the best ever... It is no doubt better than the disappointment that was WM 25.. Some matches were unpredictable such as Swagger winning the briefcase.. I was expecting Drew to win it.. And Edge in his return.. I was surprised he lost... So much for spear spear spear..lol.. I don't recall him doing any spear at all.. There was a failed attempt on Y2J though.. The predictable one was Cena vs Batista... Not surprised there... And the HBK vs Undertaker sequel was just epic! What a way to end the night... Spectacular contest! So all in all, I think WM 26 was pretty ok. An improvement over WM 25. Oh yeah, and I was surprised to see Randy Orton doing his signature pose after winning the triple threat match..

Watched MITB with my brother who doesnt watch wrestling at all, he thought Kane would win and though Drew McIntyre looked like a C U Next Tuesday, had me in stiches.
Wrestlemania itself was good but everything seemed too short, no matches had a middle flow to it, they all seemed to start then end without any realc transition.
Still an enjoyable Mania though.
