Dos Santos vs. Gonzaga is a HARD one for me to pick. I am picking Gonzaga just solely on the fact that I believe he has more ways to win, since he's go good on the ground. But this can easily go Dos Santos' way. |

That's a damn good card, for not being a PPV-card.
Jones is an animal, but he hasn't faced a strike like Vera yet.
Gonzaga vs. JSD is an awesome fight, could headline a PPV for me. I gotta go with JSD here, because I think he's the superior a striker, and it won't go to the ground.
Kongo will destroy Buentello that's for sure. Buentello had problems with Stefan Struve in the standup, and Struve is nowhere near Kongo's class standing up.
Sakara vs. Irvin, I don't care for too much. But I hope that's gonna be a good slugfest.
In the prelims I'm lookin forward to see Guida, Schaub vs. Gormley and Matyushenko.

I think Buentello had problems with Struve because the guy is 7 feet tall and it's hard to get close to him with his reach advantage.

This is going to be an outstanding card. Its sad to see Guida so low on the card but I understand why after his losses. I hope Clay really puts on a show.

This is truly an insane card, considering it's free.
1. Light Heavyweight Bout: Eric Schafer vs. Jason Brilz-- Schafer
2. Welterweight Bout: Mike Pierce vs. Julio Paulino -- Pierce ?
3. Heavyweight Bout: Brendan Schaub vs. Chase Gormley -- Schaub
4. Welterweight Bout: John Howard vs. Daniel Roberts -- Howard?
5. Lightweight Bout: Duane Ludwig vs. Darren Elkins -- Ludwig
6. Light Heavyweight Bout: Eliot Marshall vs. Vladimir Matyushenko -- Marshall
7. Lightweight Bout: Clay Guida vs. Shannon Gugerty -- Guida
8. Middleweight Bout: Alessio Sakara vs. James Irvin -- Irvin...This is pretty much a loser leaves town match-up. I think Irvin will either blast Sakara away, or something odd will happen that costs him the match in a shocking/embarrassing fashion.
9. Heavyweight Bout: Cheick Kongo vs. Paul Buentello -- I'm rooting for Buentello, but I think Kongo is going to squeak by and stick around a little longer.
10. Heavyweight Bout: Junior dos Santos vs. Gabriel Gonzaga -- Dos Santos. Gonzaga isn't a sitting duck in this match though. I just think Junior is on too big of a role to be stopped now.
11. Light Heavyweight Bout: Brandon Vera vs. Jon Jones -- Vera...Part of me expects Vera to find some way to expose Jones as still being young. I think Jones is going to look good and flashy, but leave himself open to some sort of submission. As good as I think he is, I would still be shocked if Jones wins this easily.

I know everyone is excited about Rampage and Evans....or whatever other mainevent is coming up in the months to follow but I honestly think Jones vs. Vera will be fight of the year candidate.
this is one of my most anticipated fights to watch in a long ass time. Vera and Jones. Two flashy guys...two very technically skilled guys....one who I consider underrated and another I consider to be on the rise. I think Vera will win.

I think Buentello had problems with Struve because the guy is 7 feet tall and it's hard to get close to him with his reach advantage. In my opinion, that was a grappler vs. striker matchup, and for Buentello being the striker here, he did a poor job, and I don't see why he should do better against a, on the paper, superior striker. |
