Wow, I actually agree with you. While I think that sex offenders deserve to be in a class of their own, I definately think that a law such as this isn't all that bad. Maybe give them some other registered title. Sex offender is a bit overkill tbh. I'm not sure people understand the types of diseases that are spread about by prostitutes who wouldn't give a **** if you got a life threatening virus. They're spread to those horny husbands who just need to bust a nut, and those husbands spread it to their innocent wives. There's nothing constitutional about spreading STDs around your local city. Regulate it, make sure all acts are safe, require testing for prostitutes and charge for it. We could be making millions and maybe even more than that if we set up a program that allows these men and women to work in a safe environment and regulate the hell out of it. Not my idea of what sex should be, but then again, who am I to tell others where to put it? Heck if it were a perfect world, that's how it would run. But it's a faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrr cry from what goes on nightly on city streets.

It should absolutely be considered an illegal sex act (which it is in every state but Nevada I believe) so I fully support this law. "Unconstitutional" -- seriously? I'd love to hear an explanation behind that ridiculous angle... Why should it be illegal? How is raping a 12 year old the same as consensual acts between adults? Hell, you could take a piss outside and you would have to register as a sex offender if the police catch you doing it.

I'd love to hear an explanation behind that ridiculous angle... Fine. Let's say for the sake of argument that we agree that prostitution should be illegal. Do you not think it's a little overkill to call someone a sex offender for hiring a hooker? Seriously? One consenting adult paying another consenting adult for sex is not even remotely like kid touching. Well the term "sex offender" in its most literal sense just means you've committed a crime involving some kind of sexual act, not necessarily one involving children. The bad part here is that the whole point of registered sex offenders is to alert the community and prevent child molesters from doing it again. The title certainly fits but forcing them to become registered sex offenders doesn't really seem right in this situation. People are just going to assume a registered sex offender did something with children...because why else would he be labeled as a threat for all to see?

It shouldn't be anyone's business who you have sex with if you're an adult. Whether you pay for it or not.

We could pay these people depending on how much they take in and it will be like commission. And they can collect tips as well. It would stop the spread of disease as well.

I can sorta see where your coming from, but you can understand my doubt in it, right? I mean, condoms are only 99% effective, and if prostitution was legalized, with the vast amounts of dudes trying to "score themselves some poontang" that would kind of a hectic situation.

I'll take the chance of 99% effective. If they are going to do it, then take the 99% chance it will work. There could be waiting rooms and appointments. I don't think there would be lines out the door and down the street.

If people are going to do it, they are going to do it. I don't think they are going to let the law stop them. So I don't think that legalizing marijuana or prostitution is going to see such an uptick in use that it will paralyze our country during the first week of legalization.

Look at the porn industry's regulations. Though there is still disease spread in porn, it's generally because of sex that happens off-camera with a partner who is not performing in the industry; which is going to happen anyway.

That is quite harsh, if the hooker approaches someone underage (This happened to me last month) that's more wrong but even that isn't enough to elicit being put on the SO List.

Prostitution needs to be legalized anyway. What people dont understand is you're not paying the hooker for sex. You're paying her to leave you the hell alone afterwards. Its 10000 times better then having a wife or girlfriend. Plus half the time its cheaper too

i don't know if it's my morals or what, but the idea of prostitution being legal horrifies me. women already have a lack of respect for their bodies as it is.
