So much for wanting to trade with Hardy. Same old GSP lay and pray.

Well GSP's won unless Hardy pulls something magically out.

Ugh, I thought that was going to be a good fight for some reason. Not just GSP laying on Hardy for 20 minutes.

I wouldn't call it lay and pray, to be honest. I personally thought GSP was very active on the ground. Sour grapes from the Dan Hardy fans?
Complete clinic put on by GSP. Very glad he won, have to wonder what/who is next for him though.

Hardy may have gotten his ass handed to him, but he has heart and he'll go far in the UFC once his technical skills match up to his heart

Lay and pray? St.Pierre almost literly ripped Hardy's arm completely off twice, yet people still believe he does nothing but lay on his opponents. Its funny North American fans still believe that every fight has to end in a brutal KO, in order to be entertaining. MMA is not all about brutal KO's or brutal submissions. Watch any sort of Pride match, and look at how educated the fans are. Hardy is an amazing boxer, who has trained with Freddie Roach numerous times...and you guys thought GSP was going to stand with him? Come on now. GSP is one of the best wrestlers in MMA, why stand? If Pacman fought a MMA fight, would he go for the take down?

It's really amazing he didn't tap.

How anyone could say what GSP did tonight was "lay and pray" baffles me. He stayed completely active the whole time, and just completely out wrestled Hardy. Tough guy, don't get me wrong, but GSP ran circles around him tonight.

Well, I was right on both accounts. I said it would be another dominating performance by GSP and it most certainly was and I also said the Mir/Carwin fight wouldn't see the 2nd round. I was right there as well. I was also right when I said someone would be getting KO'd or subbed in that fight. I was only wrong when I said GSP would win in the 2nd round. It went all 5 and you've got to give it to Hardy. How he withstood those armbars is nothing short of amazing. He's a tough ing dude. No question about that. I thought it was a decent card. Can't wait for the next one.

My girlfriend and I both agreed, it was a blast to watch it in the theater. We met some people who were big fight fans, like us, educated, too. Not a bunch of TapouT hat wearing "Dude, I train" kind of people. It was a great night. She picked Carwin by KO, I had Mir by sub. She got me.

Pretty good night. I wanted Mir to win but Carwin did what Carwin does best, smash people's noses into their brain. Lesnar needs to be worried about Carwin, all the first round stoppages haven't really shown glaring holes in Carwin's game.
The GSP fight isnt what I expected. I knew he would win, but I was surprised by all the sub attempts and how little Hardy did to counter GSP's gameplan. Anybody fighting GSP should know by now the most important part of the fight is to stuff the takedowns and force him to trade. Not sure if GSP was being the hero and not breaking Hardy's arm or just didn't have the postion for maximum tourque, whatever the case I was surprised Hardy didn't tap.
Last observation, GSP is called lazy and boring for a dominating fight that went to desiocn, while Penn clearly spent 20 minuets playing with Diego and would have gone to a descion as well if not for the cut? Is the diffrence people liked seeing one guy get his head beat to hell and not a guy get his joints stretched to hell?
