to be fair alot of these guys were derailed by injuries and outside issues and it wasn't neccesarily WWE's fault Rhino, Helms, Anderson were getting goods pushs and suffered bad injuries. Rhino got a good push then had a neck injury and the same could be said with Helms he was put for a year and a half.
Jindrak does mistify me he seemed like a future big star, he was good friends with Cena and Orton when all three first came up but he just never was given a push
Buff Bagwell flopped out pretty quick that was dissapointing and DDP got a hot start and I think just wanted to retire so they downpayed his push
Steiner got a good start but to me wasnt great in the ring in WWE
Nathan JOnes thought he was gonna be a big star
I thought they used Raven and Dreamer as well as they could
RVD could have been pushed more but when they did push him he blew it with the drug stuff

You just said Steiner is awesome on the mic... just thought I should point that out. I know when to picks my battles... this isn't a battle, just a difference in amusement. I enjoy incoherent rambling.

What 5 former talents, that had strong fan support for their work in WCW, ECW, TNA or ROH, were used most poorly by the WWE? I'm sure I could have worded the above better, but what I'm asking is, who could have been a star in the WWE due to their work elsewhere but handled poorly in the WWE? (top 5) Just off the top of my head, these five come to mind: Yoshihiro TajiriGreat example: Scott SteinerI think Steiner's WWE run can be compared to Jeff Hardy in TNA/Independent. Steiner is awesome on the mic and be good in the ring but WWE performances in the 21st century don't showcase that. Hardy on the other-hand is best in a WWE ring.. so Steiner definitely never found his niche. Dean MalenkoMaybe he counts for a current as he's an agent with the WWE, but I Dean could have been used similarly to Guerrero not for comedy but in the mid-ranks and elevated slowly through audience recognition. He had the physical tools, but just didn't arrive in an era where small guys can live out big dreams. VaderI have no boyhood memories of Vader but I do know what he's done in WCW, Japan and around the world before he came to the then-WWF and portrayed an unmotivated fat bastard. Big Van Vader would have been a fine WWF or Intercontinental Champion. Mike Awesome / Johnny StamboliTwo different guys but both fit the WWE image perfectly as far as being chiseled from stone. They look like wrestlers, and have the intimidating presence. Sure they may not be hall of famers in any one's lifetime but they each could have been pushed in ways similar to Cena, Batista, Swagger or Sheamus. All creditability that your post had just went right out the window. Pfft, thanks for the non-contributory comment. Why are you guys naming Burke? He wasn't in ROH, TNA, WCW or the original ECW. The guys or gals that fit this are people who achieved lower marginal success than the company they were, priorly, a part of.

Claudio Castagnoli No list is complete without him. You're talking a man MADE OF STONE. In better shape than John Cena could ever dream of, with actual in ring talent! He's also a very big man, even by WWE standards. the fact they just released him for no particular reason (the green card issues are BS) is a travesty. Ultimo Dragon HUGE star from Japan and WCW. Never was made into anything beyond Velocity filler in WWE. Baffling. Dusty Rhodes One of the all time greats. The NWA's top star comes to the WWF.. and is the common man, who dances in polka dots.. What the ? Tony Atlas, 1991 Saba Simba? Really? REALLY? Again, guy had amazing size and was an all around great in ring wrestler. Former Tag Team champion. so he's made into a completely racist sterotype of a jungle man, complete with spear and shield? Atlas went on to a great mid card run in WCW in 93, and continued to tour the indies for several years after that, proving he was still a valuable commodity, even after WWF wasted and threw away. Shane Douglas, 1991, 1995 Insane. The Franchise. The glue that held ECW together and really set the ship sail. They threw him away in 1991 after doing basically nothing. He goes to WCW and makes himself a star. They throw him away. He goes to ECW and makes THE WHOLE COMPANY stars. WWF is interested again. So they take the hottest guy off the indies, who has name value from them, from WCW, and from ECW, which was really taking off.. and they make him a teacher. An obnoxious teacher. Who was barely a mid carder. Then they released him a few months later. And people really question why Shane Douglas is such a bitter son of a bitch?
