I LOL'd hard when Dana had that ear-to-ear grin and mouthed "He's mine".
Can't wait to see Shields/GSP, it's inevitable and I think it'll be a great fight.

If that isn't a giant FU to Strikeforce, I don't know what is.

I think Shields/ GSP will be a much closer fight than others seem to.
Since being sparked by Serra GSP has little interest in striking. Yeah he should be superior to Shields striking, but everyone said that before the Serra fight & after that GSP fights a more conservation, far smarter fight. So in my view the fight will be on the ground & Shields can hang with GSP there.
I do have no interest though in seeing Shields vs. Anderson though so really hoping Jake goes to Welter because Anderson would tear him apart although of course Dana might set that up just to point out the gulf between UFC & SF.

It'll be Shields vs. GSP for sure and I think Shields has a better chance than any of GSP's recent opponents.

GSP will mow through him. Jake Shields has a great ground game. GREAT ground game. But so does B.J. GSP DESTROYED B.J. on the ground. And you can go ahead and say that size difference played a part, even though that is not true since Matt Hughes was so much bigger than B.J when they fought and B.J tapped him out. GSP will dominate on the ground and standing up. Jake Shields has no chance. At all.

I'm laughing at people saying Sheilds would get totally destroyed against GSP. He's better than GSP's last two opponets. I would even have him beating Fitch and Alves to. People buy to much in to hype. It would be a closer fight than people are saying. I would pick GSP but not buy much.

It's reason's like these Dana's one of my ing heros. Dana is pretty much the ing man. He does things no other man could even comprehend doing without their heads exploding. The man is almost a God. Sounds like I'm sucking up, but he does too many epic things on a regular basis. Oh, and his more-than-constant use of " " and other variants of the word makes everything so much awesome.

I used to loathe Dana White, but right now I just accept that some things he does I agree with, some I don't, some times I think he's the ing man, other times I think he's a ing moron. All I'll say is that I see Dana White defending and trying to help grow the UFC and MMA in general until the day he dies. You gotta respect him for that.

What that screen shot tells me is that somebody is about to pay Jake Shields more money than his drawing power warrants, and that somebody will probably be Dana White.

Henderson couldn't stop Shields from gaining full mount, and yet Shields couldn't finish him. Even if Shields did manage to out wrestle GSP, it would turn into the same "boring" fight people already complain about. If Shields did join the UFC he should have to go up against someone like Fitch first to earn a title shot.

Dan Henderson is tough. Only the Nogueira's and Silva have been able to finish him. Just because Jake couldn't finish Henderson, doesn't mean he isn't a top fighter.

As a moderate fan of both Jake Shields and Jon Fitch, I feel kinda bad saying this, but: if it happens, Shields vs. Fitch has the potential to become the most boring fight of all time.
