the head is slowly winning me over. Does it look like Angle? Sure but it also looks like steiner too. My problem is the hair. They should have went with the more flat top looking mullet that he had. I still like my custom much more better. I still need to finish painting it too

While it's a stupid idea I think what they were doing is going for a look of Scott during the matches. If you watch some Steiner Brothers matches many times during the matches Scott's singlet legs would rid up his thighs...but certainly not as much as it looks with what they did. If that's what they were going for it should have looked like this -  |

I agree that the hair should have had a flat top with the sides shaved. Then have the mullet down his back. But it does look like his hair at one point, so it works.
But I do like PJ's picture of what the tight should have looked like.
I was really pumped to get this figure to go with Rick, shame we may not get it now. Even though I'm highly disappointed I still would have got it.

The headscan makes the figure look like the illegitimate love-child of Kurt Angle's and Mae Young's figures... and that is NOT a good thing.

seems to me that they based his hair of this pic of him...  also notice ricks tights...like is cs release... i just hope we will still get this figure...my rick needs to break away from the varsity club.....lol |

The attire looks similar to the one in the video I posed from when they won the NWA titles in Nov 89, but his hair looks like later on in his career in the WWF or WCW return. And I had this figure preordered since Jan 25th and would still want it if it was released. My Rick needs a real Scott with him on the display shelves. Also in that pic of them with the WWF titles Scott does sort of look like Kurt Angle with long hair...So the figure scan does work. lol Hell, maybe if they don't release him I'll make my own with an Angle...I think it would look better then the Windham head I'm using now. |

i used a windham head to bro..my latest rework of him is the long haired tatanka head with skin tone painted on...not perfect but as close as i can get... yeah i saw that..the tights deffinetly from that so like you said it seems as they mixed his look a little.. i also am right with ya that my rick needs scott...not sure why alot of the really over the top hate from some but based from this pic id say the head is dead on...maybe next time around give him stings exspression and give stings his... the stiener brothers are anothe set they could do alot of repaints of...plenty of gear to choose from. PJ, you recall when rick had the curley locks? i was thinking maybe a new scan for him and a mullet scan for scott...then they could do a set with there nwa late 80s look and a set with there later look... so many things they could do color combo wise... |

Hi all, Interesting post this. But have Jakks reallly done a bad job? I'm quite happy with this:   Sure, they could have chosen a different scan, and I think we will get tights rather than trunks when the figure finally comes out, but is the figure really too different from the picture above? |
