All Rashad did was ![](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gif) ing lay and pray! Atleast he didn't talk a lot of poop. Also no way in hell will Evans beat Shogun. Excuses already? Right, because Rashad clearly wasn't faster and better in conditioning/strategy than Rampage tonight, he simply fell on top of him and did nothing. Plus, Rampage had a chance to end the fight, and damn near everyone who watched thought he ended the fight there (myself included). Rashad escaped and Rampage let him recover, the most crucial mistake in the fight. Good job Rashad tonight, but I'm a bit doubtful if you can take down Rua this way. Sorry that was part of my anger. Rampage was looking really rusty tonight though. He took to much time off. I'm sure that huge cut down didn't help either.

Awful main event and mediocre PPV overall. I hope Dana has fun trying to sell Rashad as a headliner after this debacle. ![::)](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/rolleyes.gif) I can't imagine being in Dana's shoes. It's going to be rough. How can he promote Rashad now? Especially after a win over Rampage Jackson, a former champion. Sure, Rashad is a former champion, and has won both of his last fights over major contenders, but that's all boulder dash, right? Completely worthless. With a record like 15-1-1, Rashad is a curtain jerker and will never, EVER be promote-able again.

By the way, I picked Rampage in Fantasy and thought he would win by knock out tonight, I'm not an Evans nut hugger.
Just making you look stupid for your ignorant comments.

I have friends who don't watch MMA that paid for this show to see that fight because of how much it was hyped up. I'm not saying Rashad is awful, what I'm saying is that all my casual fan friends are now going to illegally stream all his future pay-per-views because forty dollars for Wall-n-Stall isn't quite fair. And if you want to bring up records, Jon Fitch is 22-3. With a record like that I'm sure he really brings in the buys, right?

Sorry but how does boo's have anything to do with anything? Lesnar got extremely booed at 100...does he bring in buys?
This is mixed martial arts. This isnt head-bashing knock-outs every single fight. Its still hilarious how some UFC/MMA fans still have a hard time realizing that.

Yeah but the BIG difference is first Lesnar is the champ and he finishes off guys in a fashion that fans wanna see and they are two kinds of boos, Rashad gets bood because his fight was boring and no one likes him, Brock got bood simply because his personality just doesn't please some people. I'd rather see Brock vs Carwin than Rashad vs Shogun but what do I know? No matter how much you hate the guy, he draws money for Dana and his fight vs Carwin is shaping up to be the biggest fight of 2010. What the hell did Rashad prove from this fight? Oh, that he can wall up and dodge punches from a guy who hasn't fought in 14 months. Big ing deal. Dana wants huge draws and money and if Rashad keeps fighting like this, then he might as well give someone else a shot.

Dana wants huge draws and money and if Rashad keeps fighting like this, then he might as well give someone else a shot. What makes any sport the huge money and social acceptance are the casual fans. It's why mega stars in any sport are important. The UFC is doing its best to build stars, but the fighters themselves ruin their chances. The sports bar I watched UFC 114 was full and had alot of first time viewers. The place was fuller than it was in a long time, and everyone was pretty happy and entertained up until the main event. Before the fight a guy a couple of tables over bet one of the guys he was with $100 that the main event would go to a decision and Rashad would win. Everyone booed and yelled, and his friend told him no way the fight would make it past the 2nd round. By the mid-way mark of the 3rd round the place had emptied out and the people still there booed and were pissed at the fight. It's odd to me that one bad fight at the end of a card can cause the whole night to feel like a waste to people. Another large group of people that feel that the young guys on the lower tiers have to work hard while the main eventers are either afraid to fight or out of shape "has-beens".

I love these so called "boring" fights. It's what the sport is, and if you don't like/respect it, ![](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gif) off and stop complaining. Jesus, at least Pride fans for the most part aren't complete idiots. This crap is why I don't bother watching UFC much anymore

Awesome. Just great. Everybody's boy, Rampage took the L and people still can't give Rashad his due. He's GOT to be the most underrated headliner in the UFC right now.
Rashad was the better fighter tonight. Mentally and physically. Sure Rampage rocked him, and deserves his due for that, but not even I thought Evans wasn't gonna get tagged at least once. Rashad fought a smart fight, while in my opinion avoiding his infamous lay and pray stigma.
It's just funny to see how many people who are so called "fans" of the sport of MMA, seemingly revert back to being 15 year olds who only want to see first-round knockouts when their guy doesn't win. It wasn't a bad fight, it wasn't a boring fight, but since Rampage didn't win, it all of a suddden wasn't anything special.

yeah, the fight was great it had its ups and downs and was pretty even i'd say. the key was rashads wrestling obviously, so hopefully he does face shogun. i don't know whats next for rampage though. maybe machida? personally i'd be interested in a fight with jon jones.

So Diego got messed up! That was shocking. Diego got steamrolled. Whatever gameplan he had was COMPLETELY voided by Hathaway. Very impressed by him.

Sounds like you're punishing yourself to prove a point to other people.

I agree Rashad was a better fighter tonight...it just sucks that there was such a big buildup....for pretty much nothing. really, is the ufc's own doing, they built this up as a huge grudge match that you had to buy, and it did not live up to that where was the hatred? where was all of Rashad's talk about putting Rampage to sleep? Where was Rampage's promise to knock out Rashad? And I still despise Rahsad. He's and arrogant SOB who has not done anything to warrant how much he runs his mouth
