If we're bringing up stupid tabloid headlines then 'USA wins 1-1' is near the top of the list (yes I realise it's supposed to be witty and in reference to the US "doing well" against England but it's just stupid). Second of all, easy for the USA? Ha. If it were that easy, you would have won all of your games. Not to say you didn't play well, a lot of people under estimated the US. I couldn't really think of a way to say "lowly Yanks won the group" that wouldn't ruffle any feathers. I can't see why people underestimate USA because their performance in 2006 was very good.

^Was it? I can't remember where they got to. Actually I just checked and they didn't even get past the group stage. I could've sworn I remember them getting to QF recently and losing to Germany. Oh that was 2002 so they got as far as we did essentially.

Nervous for our match against Mexico. Hopefully we could pull out a victory like we did four years ago.
Pretty good performance by Australia today. If only they didn't stink up the joint against Germany.
Germany vs. England should be an excellent matchup.

Nervous? . __ . I have not so confident of defeating Argentina, still think we have a chance, depends on whether Mexico is concentrated.

I'm confident in Argentina, but Mexico is also a good team. Should be an intense match regardless. Both Mexico vs. Argentina and Germany vs. England sound amazing.

Fantastic results for Germany and the US. I'm not an overly active fellow but I have to say, when Donovan and Ozil scored, I was on my feet. It's very tense in the last 10 minutes of games where any goal can change the entire group structure.

An excellent day of football. I'm not gonna lie, I would really have preferred to top the group and face Ghana in the Second Round. However, I believe we're going to get the game of the tournament in England vs. Germany. It'll be so even, yet so competitive. Plenty of chances, plenty of drama.
Great result for the USA too. It was extremely tense, and I thought you were on your way out.

England fans have nothing to be confident about especially how they came into this cup with the mentality that they would destroy everyone and have done everything but that....
That U.S. Goal was def a once in a lifetime moment as i don't see that being replicated anytime soon...

Korea plays Uruguay on saturday. Not the most exciting sounding match but should still be a solid one. I hope Korea can readjust their defense and prevent Forlan from scoring.

No nation should be confident right now, expect maybe Brazil and Argentina (who I think will be in the final).
