Great showing by the us today. Buddle played great as did donavon and dempsey. I think we should have capitalized on more of the chances we had. Findlay should have scored when faked the keeper. I was also glad to see gooch got some minutes today aswell. We just need to work on finishing. Todays game could have easily been 6-1.

As you all probably know, players seem to be dropping like flies the last few weeks, heres a list of some of the injured players...
World Cup Injury List
Out Rio Ferdinand (England) Michael Ballack (Germany) John Obi Mikel (Nigeria) Michael Essien (Ghana) Lassana Diarra (France) Rene Adler (Germany)
Doubtful Arjen Robben (Netherlands) Harry Kewell (Australia) Tim Brown (New Zealand) Humberto Suazo (Chile) Lee Dong-Guk (South Korea) Didier Drogba (Ivory Coast) Andrea Pirlo (Italy) Martin Skrtel (Slovakia) Wilson Palacios (Hondorus) Valon Behrami (Switzerland)
Light Injuries - May Miss Opening Games Fernando Torres (Spain) Cesc Fabregas (Spain) Nicklas Bendtner (Denmark) Ricardo Carvalho (Portugal) William Gallas (France) Julio Cesar (Brazil) Jozy Altidore (USA)
And most of them are quite big players for their countries.

The players in bold will really be missed by their respective countries, they are smaller countries and cant replace these guys because they have such a smaller pool to pick from,so i feel for them.

I think Robben will be a big loss to us if he does miss the World Cup, although we have Sneijder, Van Der Vaart, Van Persie and other great players, I think Robben is such a big player that the loss will be felt, even alongside those players. Same for Ballack really, he is a massive player for Germany.

Love Wavin' Flag.
Pissed we've lost Ferdi and Becks but I'm still confident of 4/4 wins up untill the QF's...

Any other 'merkins tried to buy a US Team jersey recently? I tried to order my Dempsey jersey yesterday and all the blues (by far the snazzier of the two) were on backorder everywhere until November. Either all the online retailers ordered an abysmal amount or people are actually getting excited for the World Cup.

Meh. Just so this doesn't get lost in the shuffle, causing others to make official threads, I'm just going to go ahead and sticky this for now.

I thought I should explain for those of you who didn't know, last night a charity football match was held between England and a Rest of the World team to raise money for UNICEF, the teams were made up of retired players (except Ryan Giggs) and celebrities. Woody Harrelson scored the winning penalty for the Rest of the World team which included a midfield of Zinedine Zidane and Mike Myers, Joe Calzaghe on the wing.
