I cant wait for NXT tonight. Hopefully these guys will shoot a promo or something, because I doubt Matt Striker will be there due to sheffield kicking his head off his shoulders. Wade really looked like a true leader in that beatdown, Slater and Gabriel realy looked good as heels. Cant Wait!

I would think that if they are trying to make an impact they should do something at least as similar on Smackdown, if not moreso. What better way to create complete chaos setting up for a PPV then to keep striking at will. It's one thing to do it on RAW, but if the goal is to make a statement to the entire WWE Universe then I think you have to make that statement on either SD or attempt to wipe out NXT season 2 before it even starts. On a side note, perhaps they should pay a little more attention to detail when it comes to sorting through the wreckage. It was actually amusing to watch every EMT doting over Cena, meanwhile you have Gallows and Punk kayoed outside the ring, a referee who can barely stand, Justin Roberts who I don't think moved a muscle since Danielson let go of his tie, Striker was laid out and Lawler was buried under the freaking announce table. Worst. First responders. Ever. this! i want to see them just attack wwe.. not just show up on RAW.. be at smackdown.. take people out one at a time... make your names known!!

I think the only way you can explain the babyfaces not coming out to save Cena is to say that the NXT guys beat them down backstage before they came out

I was surprised bourne didnt come out since he and cena had just had a segment backstage. I know alot of people dont like Cena but I gotta give him and Punk mad credit for how they handled the angle in the ring. Cena let Bryan spit in his face and hit a stiff kick to the head/shoulder, he looked legit hurt after it was all done. Plus the brilliance of Cm punk running back in to fight really sold the seriousness of the angle and he also took some stiff shots.

Does anybody else think maybe they made the rest of the show really cheesy and light to set the crrowd up for the shock of that ending. I know the rest of the show sucked but maybe they did it to set us all up for that last 15 or 20 mins, Vince is smart he knows how to play the crowd when he has a chance.

But why would they want to purposely produce a terrible show? Granted, we joke that they must sometimes given the quality of the product, but I don't think any of us actually believe it. If anything, I would chalk it up to the fact that they spent so much time working the angle out, that everything else just fell by the wayside and suffered as a result. And if not that, it was just typical WWE with a splash of brilliance.

so here are my thoughts after watching this: Awesome...I was a huge NWO mark, and this screams nwo to me
I hope they call themselves the next world order and use the nwo song
this could be huge, they have huge guys, small high flyer, inbetween, and some solid wrestlers
otunga could become the mouthy manager style guy,
there are so many awesome possibilities

I think Otunga needs to learn how to talk first before he becomes the "Mouthy Manager".........

If you've read my other posts, you'll know I disliked the whole angle. I watched NXT from the beginning. I loved it but this, this was stupid. Sure it was shocking but looked stupid. Why the hell would you trash ringside? Does anyone realise how stupid Barrett looking throwing a chair up ramp, or how much of an idiot Young looked for pulling a chair into the ring then throwing it back out? Why draw Danielson and Gabriel and possibly Slater into it? They're faces. IMO, they need to build Barrett, have the heels as lackies for him, like his 'crew'. Let Danielson go off and feud with Miz, and let Gabriel do what he wants. What's the reason? That they're mad? Bitter? Sorry but even that common factor really doesn't undo 3 months of fighting. Makes the whole series look a waste. Good for all of you for having your shock moment, a moment that basically mushed eight personalities into one.

I actually caught the last hour of RAW for cheap laughs(first time in many months) and I didn't expect what I think is probably the best angle I've seen in YEARS. Before that happend I thought Punk and Cena were putting on a decent match and looked like they could pull off an awesome feud together. Give those guys some material to work with and I can see a phenomenal feud coming from them. But yeah, the NXT bit was incredible, knowing the WWE though they'll probably squander it.

Or heck, let it come out that they planned this all from day one, it makes as much sense as any other major heel faction start up

@tcih, I just feel that why do a show like that then smush them together. They all knew what they were in for didn't they. Why not just forget the show and do this from the very start?

Why not just forget the show and do this from the very start? to give them some exposure first? I see your point, I also loved NXT and was excited for what Heath and Bryan could do. maybe give it a little time and see what they do?

I'm calling it that they beat down Taker! You and many, many, MANY others. Same people are "calling it" that Michael Cole is the mastermind behind it. Makes the whole series look a waste. Good for all of you for having your shock moment, a moment that basically mushed eight personalities into one. I can kinda agree that it doesn't make sense RIGHT NOW on why they did it. We all have speculation and that's it. Which is why we'll tune into NXT tonight to see if they show up ( which will get more ratings ) and SmackDown! However, if they had done this rather than the show... nobody would've cared. It would've been 8 guys from FCW beating up John Cena. Instead, most of the mainstream WWE audience has at least seen 1 episode of NXT. If not, they've seen the recaps on RAW and SmackDown! So now these guys are slightly known. Last night, they all made a name for themselves. Not to mention, all of these faces are now beating down harmless people... why? That's what you tune in for. To find out WHY this all went down. Find out WHY babyface Justin Gabriel hit a 450 on Cena, WHY fan favorite Daniel Bryan nearly "killed" Justin Roberts and viciously kicked John Cena. It's too early to bash this, as last night did what good booking does.... has you talking about it, but leaves a lot of questions to be answered. Had they revealed everything last night, the storyline would already be over. Instead they have the audience talking about it, which is what they wanted. As for why none of the RAW or SmackDown! roster came out, quite simple. It establishes these NXT guys as a real THREAT to the WWE. Also, if your top babyface just got the beatdown of his career at the hands of these guys... who the hell is going to stop them? - Triple S
