Not bad I only got two of my picks wrong.

Just finally watched it, and man the card was great.
Leben is really the story of the night. Coming to fight again 2 weeks after his last fight and winning in the last 20 seconds BY SUBMISSION! Damn, that was a great fight.
Carwin showed pretty aggressive punches, but pretty much wore himself out due to his aggressiveness, but big props to Brock for covering up well and coming back in the 2nd round with the submission. I hope to see Lesnar vs. Velasquez soon.

Alright, damn it. Here are my picks. UFC 116 ''LESNAR VS CARWIN'', 7/3/2010 (PPV/Spike TV/ESPN-UK) MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas NV1. Heavyweight bout: Jon Madsen vs. Karlos Vemola2. Welterweight bout: Daniel Roberts vs. Forrest Petz 3. Middleweight bout: Gerald Harris vs. Dave Branch 4. Middleweight bout: Kendall Grove vs. Goran Reljic5. Light Heavyweight bout: Seth Petruzelli vs. Ricardo Romero 6. Heavyweight bout: Brendan Schaub vs. Chris Tuchscherer 7. Lightweight bout: George Sotiropoulos vs. Kurt Pellegrino8. Light Heavyweight bout: Krzysztof Soszynski vs. Stephan Bonnar 9. Welterweight bout: Chris Lytle vs. Matt Brown 10. Middleweight bout: Chris Leben vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama11. Heavyweight Championship: Brock Lesnar (c) vs Shane CarwinWow...You only got 4 out of 11 right...It certainly wasn't your night to pick winners, that's for sure. I hope you had fun at your wedding because I know I had a blast watching Leben and Lesnar win their fights in spectacular fashion. ;D Seriously though, if you missed out on those fights last night, shame on you because they were incredible. Probably one of the best UFC cards of all-time. It's whatever. Brock did good, and so did Leben. I just didn't think AT ALL that Leben was going to be able to fight the way he did by having a pretty good performance just 2 weeks ago. And, in all honesty, I seriously thought Brock was going to win, and I just picked Carwin based on his track record of first round finishes. Brock did a great job and obviously deserves much respect. I just don't like the guys attitude sometimes.

So there answer will probably be no but anyone think Shane could win in a rematch? I think he could. I think if he worked his cardio and really just picked his punches, he could be Brock. I think it depends on what everyone learned from last night (including Brock, Carwin, and Velasquez) and how they adapt their training and strategies to that. - We learned that Lesnar's chin is great and he's hard to knock out, so blowing your wad trying to do it in less than 5 minutes is poor strategy.
- We learned that Carwin needs a combination of better cardio and better pacing (i.e., know when to slow yourself down).
- We learned that somebody is definitely trying to teach Lesnar submissions and Brock is capable of spotting the opening for a choke and willing to take advantage of it (doesn't make him a submissions wizard, but it does add one more element for his opponents to train to avoid).
- We learned Brock can fight through pain and avoid being overwhelmed (so trying to overwhelm him with strikes is more of a gamble... your stamina vs. Brock's will to keep fighting).
- We learned that a good wrestler can hang with Brock on the ground so long as he's inflicting enough damage to keep control (otherwise, it's a matter of time before Brock's power and wrestling ability put him back in the advantage).
All of those things are fascinating because I trust that Lesnar, Carwin and Velasquez will take them into account in future training and game-planning. So if Carwin and Lesnar rematch at some point after Velasquez fights Brock, I doubt either guy will make the same mistakes... which makes it a whole new fight, and really fascinating to think about.

Lesnar wasn't even really hit with a full-on shot. He showed great recovery though.

Lesnar wasn't even really hit with a full-on shot. To be fair, that's because Brock was busy running away. But the punches that did connect, he took like a champ.

Brock Lesnar's chin = incredible. He needs a chin like that when he's facing the likes of Shane Carwin and Cain Velasquez because you know they are going to be throwing bombs.

Wandy's gonna kill Leben. Well, he barely beat Bisping, and as much as I hate to say it, Leben has much heavier hands than Bisping and legit KO power - he won't have any trouble standing with Wanderlei.

That was not only the best card of the year, but the best show I've seen in the last couple.

Im glad Leben won but.. Wanderlei would kill him if they fought. You think he would kill him, but I think it's safe to say that after the last 2 weeks we can't rule ANYTHING out. I mean, Fedor tapping out to Werdum and Brock winning by submission over Carwin. Two of the most UNLIKELY scenarios ever man and yet, they both happened. Upsets can and will happen at ANY given time and I believe Leben stands a very good chance at shocking the MMA world and getting a victory over Wanderlei Silva. NEVER rule out anything in MMA, no matter how unliklely it may be because it may just happen in the end.

Im glad Leben won but.. Wanderlei would kill him if they fought. The Wandy of five years ago would have destroyed Leben. However the Wandy who decisioned Bisping would have a far harder time. Leben would be in Wandy's face constantly throwing & as Wandy's chin isn't what it was I could see Leben getting a big win.

Wanderleis chin is just fine, Rampage was the last one to knock him out need i say more..
And Lenben dosen't have as much power as Rampage..
Also i believe Wanderleis stand up is much better than Lebens.

UFC 116 was such a fantastic card that it's honestly my Event of the Year.
However, Garcia vs. The Korean Zombie is still my Fight of the Year.
