Huerta vs. Garcia wasn't really all that good. It was a very one-sided beatdown.

I remember it being pretty awesome, even for a one-sided beatdown. Just a really fun, really memorable brawl IMO.

Well, Garcia is pretty tough, there's no doubting that. The fight was very uneventful besides noticing Garcia's toughness.

Well, like I said when I first started this series, the purpose of GMMMA isn't really a definitive list of the go-to greatest things to ever happen in our sport, it's just a way for me to reminisce about memorable moments that I really liked as an MMA fan. Huerta/Garcia definitely falls under that heading.

I've been given the go-ahead to write 3/4 articles per day, and I'm going to bust my ass to make that goal. If I can, this can actually turn into a full-time job for me. That said, four articles are up for today: one on Ben Saunders, one on pro wrestling in MMA, one GMMMA induction, and one on my thoughts on Ontario getting MMA legalize. Get 'em here, here, here, and here.

Got a new one up on why I think Anderson Silva has lost the Pound for Pound crown. Get it here.

Sites like Sherdog are funny. Fedor goes 10 years undefeated and was on the top of the P4P list. He loses one fight to a top guy, and is off the top 10 P4P list completely. BJ was on the list before he lost, and he still didn't get off the list. Same goes for Lyoto. Anderson gets dominated for 23 minutes and still retains the top spot? ing haters, man.

Yeah, Sherdog is one of the worst sites out there as well as having the most ignorant people posting on their forums. Sherdog LOST their UFC credentials a while back(I believe when Dana/Loretta fought) and now they're kissing UFC's ass to get them back. Fedor is on anybody's Top 10 P4P list. Dropping off completely after losing to a top BJJ guy is bull. Seeing people just discredit everything Fedor has done the past 10 years is ridiculous. Chances are, he'll murder Werdum in the rematch and be right back up there. P4P lists are irrelevant anyway, so I try not to get worked up. Its just that Sherdog is the most UFC BIAS site out there

I know lists are generally irrelevant unless the guys fight eachother, but to have Fedor COMPLETELY knocked off for one loss in 10+ years is stupid to me, when Lyoto got dominated in one fight, and KO'ed in the next, and is still on the list, why not Fedor?

^^^
I agree, I think it's complete and utter BS, and really disappointing that sites like this feel the need to have 'lists' like this.

I agree that it's garbage that Fedor isn't on the list anymore.
As far as lists go, I try to stay out of the P4P argument, since as James says, they're generally irrelevant and they're basically some educated guesses by some insiders playing armchair booker.
However, I felt that this was one thing I couldn't really look past. Even as a GIGANTIC Silva fan, if you believe in the whole P4P thing, how getting dominated for 23 minutes can't take you out of the top spot AT THE VERY LEAST baffles me.
I honestly don't even care what spot Silva should be in for those that like P4P. I just know that he definitely shouldn't be in the top spot anymore, and I think GSP has definitely overtaken him.

As far as being a fan of Anderson goes I know me and you are probably on the same level as far as appreciating his talent. With that being said, I completely agree with you. It shocked me when I saw Anderson got rocked. I felt like I was in the twilight zone. To see him rebound from such a dominant performance by Chael was just as satisfying for me as a KO would have been. I think, like Fedor, like Fedor people just want to see Anderson lose. So they discredit his victories but yet praise guys like Lyoto and GSP. but with that being said.... and with me being as HUGE OF AN ANDERSON FAN I AM.....I am still looking forward to Chaels next fight than I am Andersons... :/

Interesting article about Bader/Lil Nog there PDW, I'm quite impressed with Bader, though I would hope that if he was to try and knock Lil Nog out, he'd have more power in his punch than he did against Jardine (good call by the ref, but Jardine protesting it afterwards made me think it could've been harder) Another great article, all the best in your new full-time job!

I hate Jardine. My mom watched like a second of Ultimate knockouts one time and she was like who's the fag? And I was like Jardine. lawl

Who's the band in your sig ?
Anderson will get the title of p4p again in 2011...Guarantee it...he'll prolly retire soon. I can't wait till possibly Jon Jones vs Griffen at 123 is it or 121 ?
