I honestly agree. This year has been bat  insane for MMA. And we've still got five months left. I honestly think 2010 may go down as the best year in MMA, period. So many amazing shows, amazing fights, and some truly insane things happening that very few people ever thought would happen. |

I hate Anderson Silva more than I can put into text. Its a shame a skumbag like him is champion. Its good to see though that he doesnt dance while hes getting the living Sh^t kicked out of him though. F Anderson Silva...Sonnen didnt tap either, that was lame. Sonnen was the winner tonight... As much as I love you bro...you have no ing clue what you're talking about, both on Sonnen tapping and Silva being a scumbag. Sonnen clearly tapped, watch the replay. People can give Sonnen their due, but you have to get Silva his due too. I'd also love to know why Silva is a scumbag just because he's had a few bad performances. Sonnen tested both Silva's heart and chin, and while Silva definitely squeaked out the W, a win is a win is a win. If people are so angry about it, just book the rematch already. But don't try to discount what Silva did, which was make an absolutely incredible comeback. I know EXACTLY what im talking about, Anderson Silva is a cocky jackass who finally got his ass served to him on a silver platter. Sonnen got lazy at the end of the fight and gave Silva an opening. It was a weak ass tap out *IF THAT* and Sonnen was the true winner. Glad to see "The Spider" got knocked off his horse and onto his ass tonight, but Sonnen should have won... |

No, you sound like a bitter "fan." Chael Sonnen tapped, even if he tried to fight it like he did against Paulo Filho. Sonnen got tired/cocky/sloppy and Anderson Silva, being a great opportunist, took advantage. I'm not an Anderson Silva fan in the least bit. In fact, he's one of my least favorite fighters...but to say he's a "scumbag" or a "jackass" is just ridiculous. He showed why he's a champion tonight. Calling Sonnen the "true winner" makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. |

What the hell? Silva sandbagged for the whole fight then puts on a triangle and wins in the fifth? Seriously? He actually BS'd the fight, I can't believe this, he wasn't even tired at all in that fight.

Coulda woulda shoulda bro. Excuses excuses excuses. You see me making any excuses for Silva's poor performance? Me, one of the biggest Silva fans on this board? This is why I'm not taking you seriously right now. Look at the tap again. Sonnen clearly tapped, you don't have to tap like you're trying to beat out a drumline on your opponent's leg to send a clear message that you want to stop the fight. Hell, even after all the confusion, Sonnen was man enough to admit that he called it quits. You're letting your bias cloud your judgement. And to be perfectly honest, unless you give Silva his due, however grudgingly, I don't think I'll ever be able to take anything you have to say on MMA seriously again. That goes to all the other Sonnen fans here, as well. From possibly the biggest Silva fan on the board...I give Sonnen his due for putting Anderson through hell and taking the fight five rounds to none, but don't try to devalue Anderson's amazing comeback just because you dislike the guy. And for the record, I think Toney will KO Couture. |

God ing dammit. Silva got SO ing lucky, it's unreal. Sonnen was like 2 minutes away from being the new champ and everyone knows it. He OWNED Silva for 4 straight rounds and got caught. Simple as that. I think Sonnen proved to everyone watching that he is certainly championship material and if I were Dana White, I'd sanction a re-match for sure. Silva got lucky. All there is to it. |

Its funny how you're calling Silva cocky...Did you not hear all the buildup coming into this fight? Silva didn't say anything that bad about Chael...and even bowed down to him at the end of the fight. The only reason Silva got destroyed is, because Silva more than likely took the fight as a joke, where as Sonnen had his ultimate try hard pants on. Chael would have been more pissed if he actually hadn't given up. Sorry for double posting, but I had to reply to one of the most intellectually- disabled posts I have ever seen. Im leaving....The sole purpose of my post tonight was to let everyone here know that there is someone out there who hates Anderson Silva with every ounce of his being, and that person is me. I thoroughly enjoyed watching him get his ass kicked tonight and savor the flavor Silva fans because your heros time is just about up. Wrestlers....come get the FRESH MEAT!
