Superstars Match: Goldust d. Vladimir Kozlov(7:43)
After all of the pyrotechnics have blasted, Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler welcome us to a historic 3 hour Viewer's Choice edition of Monday Night Raw, where the WWE Universe is in total control for the night.
Raw General Manager Bret Hart comes out now. He tells the fans that he is just here to watch the show because he's not in charge tonight. The WWE Universe is. He tells them to enjoy the show. WWE Champion Batista now makes his way to the ring. He says that he wants to know what his match is for tonight and what are the options that these idiot fans can vote on. Bret tells Batista that tonight, he will face one of his three opponents at Fatal 4 Way. Edge, Chris Jericho, or Randy Orton. Once Orton's name is mentioned, the crowd goes nuts. Batista tells Bret that he thinks this whole Viewer's Choice thing is stupid. Why put the fate of your show in the hands of a bunch of kids? Bret told Batista that he wants to be a unique General Manager. Batista says that Bret will look really unique running the show from a hospital bed. Bret says that since this is Viewer's Choice, he has an idea. He asks the crowd if they would like to see Batista escorted out of here security. The crowd responds with a chorus of cheers. Security now comes out and takes Batista out of the ring. Bret tells the audience to get ready to vote, because when we return from this commercial break, they will vote on their first match. The Hart Dynasty will defend the Unified Tag Team Championships against a disbanded team. Your choices are The Big show & The Miz, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase, and Kofi Kingston & CM Punk.
Commercial Break
When we return from the commercial break, we see Matt Striker now standing by with the three tag team choices. He gets a word with the team that was once known as ShoMiz. Striker asks them why should be picked. The Miz says that they shouldn't, because he has another piece of business to attend to tonight, so he can't be wasting his time with this giant moron. Big Show tells Miz that he got pinned when they lost the titles. Miz says that he got pinned because Show was too busy sleeping on the floor. Show says that he got hurt. The two of them continue to argue while Striker goes to the next team, the team that used to be referred to as The Legacy, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase. Striker asks them the same question. Rhodes says that the fans should vote for them because that means that they will be voting for him, but they also shouldn't because they would be voting for DiBiase. Ted steps in and tells Rhodes that maybe getting punted at WrestleMania caused him more brain damage than he thought. He says that these people will never vote for him. Rhodes tells Ted that he's just jealous that he was the star of The Legacy and is now the face of SmackDown. The two of them continue their argument. Striker now goes to the last team, former World Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston & CM Punk. Punk cuts off Striker and tells the audience that he doesn't care if they vote for him because he doesn't care for what people below him want. Kingston tells Punk that he's sure that if the audience was voting on whether he should take his mask off or not, it would be one sided. Punk and Kingston now argue as Striker informs us that The Miz just left. He then tries to settle the other two teams down while The Hart Dynasty makes their entrance. After they are in the ring, Striker says that it's time to find out who their opponents will be. After a nice little drum roll, we see that ShoMiz got 27%, The Legacy got 39%, and Kingston and Punk got 34%. Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes both have a look of anger on their face. Ted tells Striker that he refuses to team with Rhodes. Striker tells them to hold on. He says that he just received word from both Bret Hart and Teddy Long. If Rhodes and DiBiase do not compete right now, DiBiase will be removed from the United States Title tournament and Cody Rhodes will be taken out of the Fatal 4 Way match for the Intercontinental title. Both men make their way to the ring, much to their dismay. The camera then quickly turns to Kingston & Punk, who are now in a fist fight with each other. Security soon arrives to break them up.
Unified Tag Team Championships The Hart Dynasty (c) vs. Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase |
Both Rhodes and DiBiase clearly do not want to be teaming together, but they have to or else they will lose their chance to hold a singles title. Kidd and Rhodes start off. Kidd gets the better of him, but both men tag in their partner. Ted and Smith have a nice showing, but Ted gets the better of him after throwing him shoulder first into the steel ring post. Kidd dopkicks Ted out of the ring. After this, Rhodes comes behind him and attempts Cross Rhodes, but Kidd pushes him off. Cody charges at him, but he is sent to the outside onto his partner. Kidd now goes to the top turnbuckle and dives off onto both of his opponents. As Kidd is getting up, The Dudebusters now come out and attack the champs.
Winners Via disqualification, The Hart Dynasty (7:54) |
Both Barreta and Croft viciously assault Kidd and Smith. After the attack, Barreta gets a microphone and says that they proved last Friday on SmackDown and tonight that they are competition. They say that they are tired of the non title matches, so they want a title shot, and they want it soon.
Teddy Long and Bret Hart are shown in their office, disappointed at the fact that The Dudebusters ruined the match. Teddy says that he will make sure that Barreta and Croft do not get that title shot. Drew McIntyre soon walks in. He asks Teddy why is he not competing tonight. Teddy tells Drew that he's not competing tonight as a punishment for his fake restraining order against Matt Hardy. Drew now has a look of anger on his face. Teddy tells him that he has another decision that the WWE Universe can vote on - the stipulation for Drew's match with Matt Hardy at Fatal 4 Way. Drew is now even more pissed off. Teddy asks the fans if they want to see a No Disqualification match, a 2/3 Falls match, or a You're Fired match. The crowd seemed to favor the last option. Teddy tells Drew that it's official.
Commercial Break

AS he is about to walk away, he soon says "Well look who it is." as Daniel Bryan enters the scene. Barrett asks him whats he doing here? Bryan says that he was invited. Barrett tells him that being invited is probably the only way he'll ever be on television. Bryan tells Barrett that the only reason he won NXT is because wasn't there to win. Singles Match Wade Barrett vs. Evan Bourne |
Barrett was very impressive here on his Raw debut. He used his strength to keep Bourne down for most of the match. Bourne delivered a high knee to Barrett at one point in the match. It looked like Bourne was going to the top for Airbourne, but Barrett was getting back to his feet. Bourne didn't let this mess up his game plan as he went for a cross body. Barrett caught him in mid-air and put him on his shoulders for the Wasteland. Bourne was able to fight out of it and get Barrett to throw himself to the outside. When Barrett got back to his feet, Bourne dropkicked him back to the floor. Barret got back up and onto the apron, but Bourne hit him with a high knee. The referee counted Barret out.

Bryan comes out to the stage.Miz tells Bryan that he wants him to know that he has done him a favor. Bryan asks him how? Miz says that he got Bryan a one night contract for Fatal 4 Way, which is where they will go one on one. Bryan says that this is great news because now he can beat the crap out of The Miz without going to jail. Miz tells Bryan that Bret Hart made a stipulation for this match. If Bryan wins, he will get a WWE contract. Bryan says that that will be no problem because nothing will stand in the way of him winning at Fatal 4 Way. Miz says that there is something that's standing in Bryan's way of winning and that is the special guest referee for their match. Bryan looks confused and asks Miz who the referee is. Miz says "Your #1 fan, Michael Cole". Cole is shown at the announce table with a smirk on his face. Miz says that Bryan has no chance of winning because he's The Miz, and he's awesome. Bryan is now furious.

He informs us that during this next match and the commercial break, the WWE Universe will have a chance to vote on the prize for the winner of the Diva battle royal. Right when the bell rang, Jillian told all of the Divas to listen to her song before the match started. Not too long after she started singing, all of the divas beat down on her and threw her out. Some of the other divas went out very early such as Rosa Mendes, The Bella Twins, and Alicia Fox. In the end the final four were Maryse, Eve, Kelly Kelly, and Michelle McCool. While all four women were staring each other down, Maryse crept up behind Eve and tapped her on her shoulder. When Eve turned around, Maryse said "right behind at anytime." During all of this, Michelle McCool snuck up behind Eve and threw out. Kelly now had a battle with McCool. Layla, who had already been eliminated, was at ringside cheering Michelle. Kelly seemed to have enough of Layla as she kicked her through the ropes. McCool charged at Kelly, but she got out of the way and threw Michelle out. While Kelly had her attention on Laycool, Maryse came up behind Kelly and tossed her out.
Maryse celebrated her win as she will now guest host Raw sometime in the future, and she will have total control just like the old guest hosts.
Speaking of guest hosts, the cast for the A-Team is now shown. While they were getting comfortable in the General Manager's office, Santino Marella soon comes in looking very happy. Everybody asks him if theres something wrong with him. Santino says that he's just so happy that he's going to meet Mr. T. The cast told him that Mr. T isn't here. Santino said that he thought the A-Team was going to be here. Bradley Cooper told him that the A-Team is here, but it's not the originals. Santino then says "So instead of meeting Mr. T, I have to settle for this cheap imitation?" Quinton Jackson now looked at Santino and asked him if he knew who he was? Santino said "I know you're not Mr. T."

Batista is shown walking back to his locker room when he is met by World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger. Swagger says that him and Batista actually have a lot in common. Great World champions, the best of their brands, yet they are still disrespected by these fans who somehow got the chance to run the show. swagger said that he's going to do a favor for Batista when he takes out John Cena nest. Batista tells Swagger that he doesn't need anybody doing him any favors, especially taking out John Cena since he can do that on his own. Swagger says that if he could take out Cena, he wouldn't be facing him next. Swagger leaves as Batista looks pissed.
Matt Striker tells The WWE Universe that tomorrow night will be the season premier of NXT Season 2, so be sure to watch that.
