Where ever the Warrior figures are, that's where my interest lies.
I wasn't really a Mattel fan to start off with, but I have to admit that they proved themselves to be great when it came to accuracy of attires, and not cheaping out by giving everyone 24" python arms. The only complaint I ever had with them was that headscans SUCKED (but even they have improved now).
Jakks need to stop messing around and get serious now...
God bless.

If you're saying "I'm not gonna completely switch to Jakks, but I'll get Macho Man", then Mattel did their jobs. Why did they sign Savage? To get you few holdouts to buy at least ONE product from them. Now, you're gonna. This just continues to show Savage's value as the holy grail of all wrestling figures. This, the Savage has is coming out for a variety of reasons but one of the big ones is as bait. They're throwing it out there for the non believers to be converted to buy at least one figure and perhaps continue to build a mattel collection even if they didnt initially intend to. I can see how the news would bother the jakks only people though, some of the biggest blanks in their classic collection cant be filled by a figure in the same style. to each there own but if that was there plan it didnt work out to well with me... like with steamboat... they got me to buy that only because jakks didnt make it... i took the head and extras the body i couldnt pay somebody to take off my hands... except my nephew who asked to have it as it fit in with his power rangers....lol in fairness i will say this, mattel is trying hard to get all of us to make the switch... but the weird bodies will never dirty any of my rings....lol they tried with george the animal mr wonderful and a whole host of great names... but didnt make me bat an eyelash... they look good for what they are but im far happyer with my jakks ones. only the guys jakks didnt make made me turn my head... and if jakks dosent make them then mattel profits only for the head and extras... to me in my opinion the bodys blow... and have since the very first one i laid eyes on. but again thats just my opinion. im glad to see the other side enjoy there preffered line... the Jakks CS line re educated other toy companies that a classic line can sell and sell big... jakks found the scent of money in classics mattel is smart to follow the scent. i never want to go back to the days when the only legends out there were the ones offered from wrestling superstore...they had great names (Including steamboat) but there bodies were horrid to say the least...lol

i like the mattel figures but didn't consider collecting them until these latest announcements. the von erich's are probably enough to make me start collecting a few.

Thanks everyone for your feedback.
Just to add to my initial post - by no means am I conceding victory to Mattel. Jakks Classics are still my preference and I'm eager to see what they do with their Legends line (e.g, Surfer Sting).
However - I'm a sucker for photos and hype and feel a bit let down that Jakks hasn't stepped up to the plate yet - for whatever reason.
And after taking a day to think about it - I'm still not sure I'll shell out for Mattel. I want Macho Man - but in JAKKS form!
BTW - I picked up another 40 WWE Jakks Classics yesterday. Hoping to sort them out and add them to my eBay store. Despite popular consensus - jakks classics are still selling strong!

Definately. Just picked up a Steamboat at Toys R Us and will be buying them from now on. Not in the bulk I did with Jakks though. Just one of each to open.

i hate that mattel is making their legends line the elite sytle figure, because they are worse IMO than basics. but i will deff. pick up macho man, british bulldog and ultimate warrior. these figures look AMAZING. jakks really needs to step their game up if they want to be able to compete, if they coulda signed macho man, they coulda done an exclusive 2pack with jay lethal and macho man. if mattel is able to make an owen hart figure in the future, jakks should just give up.

I'm usually a Jakks only guy but Macho Man and Sheamus are gonna be mine. I wouldn't use 'getting to me' as a phrase cause that implies I should be bitter about Mattel. I'm not, so I'll happily pick them up.

A Mattel Machoman would fit in FINE with a JAKKS CS collection. Unless you have some OCD-like syndrome where if they brand isn't the same you can't have them near each other.
Yes Mattel figures will look a bit thinner than JAKKS, but it's not like a totally different scale like GI Joe, Star Wars, Barbie and such would be.

They more stars Mattel signs the better. One big name I hope does sign with Mattel is "Superstar" Billy Graham. Jakks made a bunch of him, but nothing truly mindblowing or colorful as the man himself.

No, not really. There are zero names that Mattel announced that I need/want in my collection. There are two "legend figures" I want which are Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart. Jarrett's getting them and there's a good chance Jakks can make an Owen Hart. There's not a chance in the world Martha signs the contract, and if she does, there isn't a chance it'll be with Jakks.

I doubt Martha would sign with anyone. She seems to be over wrestling in general.

Jakks is history, they're completely kicked off the radar now. Here you come onto the bandwagon, I knew you all would eventually. um no I'm NOT going to mattel.. I may get a fig to work with to costumize a jakks fig. DAMMIT.. I said i was not gonna do it.. BUT DAMMIT.. tonight i went with my dad to walmart and i looked voer the mattel tonight and saw the elite big show with the blue singlet.... always was a fan giant was my fave in the WCW days,.. man I fell in love with this figure.... I did not have the cash to get it but will soon., Dammit I said I wouldn't! you bastards!

good ol' SDCC bringing up the Jakks v. Mattel argument AGAIN.
This isn't World War 3. Why is everyone choosing sides, and talking about bandwagons? For christs sake these are WRESTLING FIGURES.
I love Jakks for what they gave me. Hundreds upon hundreds of great wrestling figures, including ones of guys I NEVER thought I would own. (the Classic Line)
Jakks is still doing their thing with TNA and the Legends of the Ring...and I will continue to support them even if only on a smaller scale.
Mattel has taken over the WWE figure making process, and since I've been a loyal, hardcore fan of Vince & Co for 20 years...I'm not about to stop collecting because "oohohhh mattelz too skninyyy jakks rullzzz!!!!1"
I'm going to continue to collect and enjoy my WWE Legends & my current WWE superstars.
We all have our own OPINIONS and none is either more right or wrong than the other. Like it or not, opinions are not always based on "facts"...or else they wouldn't be opinions.

It doesnt bother me at all. I like Jakks and I like Mattel. As long as we get them and they look good, all is good. Exactly. I Love the new Mattel figs but still like Jakks for the figs like the Stinger. I buy both brands ![:D](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/grin.gif) Yeah same I like both companys but the only problen with jakks is they leave out some of the detail on the figure which is sometimes crucial
