I can see why people hated the show, but as someone who LOVED ECW, this was a great show. A little boring at times, but I thought it was great. Sabu worked the cleanest he probally ever has, lmao. It had the ECW feel to it, even though production values were 100X higher than Paul E. couldve ever hoped for. ONS was still better, but as an old school ECW fan, this brought back good memories. I have to agree with this. The show was great, But what ONS lacked, Hardcore Justice made up, and what Hard Justice lacked ONS made up for. I will say though of the 2, I think I would rewatch the TNA version before I watch the WWE one. Other than the fact that TNA couldn't say the letters ECW....... The Dudley match was great, The Gangstas run in was ok, If they hadn't "HUGGED IT OUT" at the end. The New Jack interview was classic, Dance off, it was a great show. Raven going over was the best. Letting evil prevail. It almost made Dreamer look like the bad guy. Great show!!!!

ECW wasn't just about "hardcore" and blood baths though. Rey Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, and Chris Jericho are the four prime examples of guys who weren't hardcore that made their name in ECW with each going on to be a world champion. *shrugs*.

TNA fans are attacking people for not liking TNA, and the people that don't like TNA attack the people that do. That's ridiculous, if you like TNA, good for you, I don't care. I've never attacked any one for their opinion, I may disagree with them and try to have a discussion with them, but half the time I get attacked, or called names, or have whatever's in my sig brought in for no reason. I think that is childish and immature, and that's why there are so many flame wars here. It gets really out of hand, people need to stop taking other people's opinions to heart. I can't figure out why people still like Jakks figures, but I never call any one stupid for liking them and buying them. But whenever I voice my negative opinions to Jakks for making such terrible figures, which I have every right to do, people get so upset and worked up over MY opinion and will say stupid sh*t about me, or basically tell me that I don't have the right to complain, if I don't like the figures or if I don't like TNA, than just don't buy or watch. WELL THAT! Like I said I want to like TNA and I want to buy Jakks TNA figures, but why should I, if they produce nothing but garbage. I guess I'm supposed to just shut my mouth and deal with it so I don't upset overly sensitive people. And I agree with that, but I still think if you don't like a show 40+ minutes into it and already say it's "a waste of time" then don't bother finishing the show because you're not going to get your money's worth if you don't like 40+ minutes out of a 2-3 hour show. Am I saying that person is wrong not to like the show? Of course not. Am I saying that person can't have an opinion? Of course not. But, people sometimes act like Dixie Carter is standing behind them with a gun threatening to blow their brains out of they don't watch, it's ridiculous. If 3 days before a PPV you say "Eh, this show only has one match on it i want to see. I'm not watching" then you're a fool to show up in a discussion thread about it to complain when 3 days ago you stated you were't watching. That is my beef, those that say "Oh, I'm not watching" or "Oh, I'm done with this product" yet still watch - it's insane. 97.3% of these flame wars are just a matter of needing to agree to dis-agree, really. [/quote] Well, like I said before, I only watched this PPV because of my friend. He liked it a lot, but I never said "WHAT? YOU ACTUALLY LIKED THAT, YOU'RE A MORON!" nor did he say anything to me for thinking that it was really stupid, in fact he agreed with me that a lot of it was pretty bad, but he mostly liked it because of it's nostalgia. And I get that, I really do, I love being nostalgic as the next guy, but that doesn't mean I have to like it too. It was a free PPV, and I was stoned and had a good time laughing at it and making fun of it, but that was about it. I didn't like it, I thought it was terrible, and I would have much rather seen a PPV with Desmond Wolfe, AJ Styles, The MCMG's, Ink Inc. and other young up and comers. I watched the PPV, and now I'm voicing my opinion on it, which I have every right to do. Also, if you already paid for the PPV, even if it's really bad, it would be kind of stupid not to finish watching it if your going to have to pay for it any way.

The constant complaining by a certain group that bought the show specially hoping it would suck is what irked me in this thread. I didn't think the show was amazing either but I did enjoy watching it. It was a nice change of pace from other pay-per-views that is storyline driven where it's almost all about the storyline while this show was just about having a good time. That was fun for me and it didn't hurt that Stevie Richards freaking rocked the house tonight. It was fun but I do agree it would have been better suited on free TV while the TNA guys like AJ and Wolfe took the PPV. ECW wasn't just about "hardcore" and blood baths though. Rey Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, and Chris Jericho are the four prime examples of guys who weren't hardcore that made their name in ECW with each going on to be a world champion. *shrugs*. That's essentially the same thing Vince was criticized for when he ran ECW, by both fans and TNA. I stopped caring about the WWE (as a whole) around that time so I really couldn't judge nor make an opinion what that version of "ECW". I'm not trying to tippy-toe out of your fact though, I just seriously didn't really pay attention to what the WWE was doing at the time and if I watched the show I just had it on as background noise.

But that doesn't mean you have to stoop to their level. If that's what they did and they're just criticizing for attention and just to push peoples buttons, then your best way of dealing with them is to ignore them and say "Whatever dude, I liked it and thought it was good, if you didn't than I don't know what to tell you". It's as simple as that.

No, it's comments like "OMG it wuz the worst PPV EVAR!!!" that gets stuff started. It's like 95% of the people that knew good and well that they WEREN'T gonna enjoy it in the first place, watched it anyway just so they can complain about it later. People have a right to voice their opinion on this or anything. The problem is, for whatever reason, people get offended and take it to heart. Seriously, if I have a negative opinion of TNA or ECW, why do you have to take it so personally? It's not like we're saying negative things about you or your family, we're voicing our dissatisfaction with the product. JESUS JOSEPH AND MARY, SOMEONE GETS IT!!! Thank you!

Taijiri v.s Guido v.s Psicosis would have been a huge sign though! All the more reason why this PPV shouldn't have happened. NO NO NO. This was a must PPV IMO. Yea there were alot of guys left out, But TNA made the better choice of tracking down those who can still pull a crowd to ejaculation. The crowd was full of pops tonite, which hopefully pulled more of a TNA fan base in. The PPV title of The Last Stand was perfectly chosen. If this doesn't pull in more fans, then maybe nothing will. But Vince killed the name of ECW, Dixie at least brought the elements of Fun, Serious, Competition, Feuds, and Hardcore all into one. It had that grunge atmosphere tonight. ECW ONS didn't..... The Hammerstine Ballroom made their PPV, the iMPACT zone fans and great booking made TNA's just a little bit better.

I'm sure all the original ECW fans were already watching TNA. If anything, this may have pushed some fans away, it certainly pushed me away. They need to stop with the ECW bit, they need to stop focusing on the WCW has beens and they need to start doing what the WWE is doing by giving their younger guys the spotlight. I'm sick of them shoving has-beens down my throat. I like the WWE more, because they're finally starting to get that they need to focus more on their younger guys than the old fossils.

I enjoyed the hell out of this PPV. Sure, most of the matches weren't great. But I actually got to see guys that I actually care about, on live television, maybe for the last time. I don't currently watch any WWE or TNA, I just don't like any of the current rosters, honestly. But to take a trip down memory lane with ECW, for me, was great. AND WHERE THE DID NEW JACK COME FROM?!? I THOUGHT HE WAS LOCKED UP FOR LIFE!

So you couldn't be talking about Undertaker, HHH, Cena, Kane, Jerhico, Big Show, Batista ( yes I know he's gone) right? Cause they have been doing the same old crapfor A LONG TIME NOW.... Other than The fact Kane is Champion. I never want TNA to be like WWE. The sad thing is that most people on here forgot how to be a wrestling fan. After finding wrestling forums, over the years they slowly became brain washed. Tonights PPV would be loved by a wrestling fan, but instead, It gets hated on because what, It was actually good? But since the high ranked Jimbobbombshell97 says it sucked you go along with it, and eventually start to beleive these things. Your probably the same guy who marked out to Hogan, and Goldberg, and Taz, but after seeing that people had different things to say about them, you changed your mind and went with them, cause they accepted you better. Thats bullshit. Im proud of what I watched tonite. It made me laugh, it had me at the edge of my seat, It was awesome. Don't forget the wrestling fan in you, stop going with the anti crowd and be yourself....You talk crap about a PPV that you ordered? You obviously ordered it not to laugh at it, but to actually watch it. Quit the act guys, Its ok to be a fan.

The only thing is... it takes WWE 5-7 years to make their really big stars (John Cena, Randy Orton) with all the resources they have. It'll take TNA longer due to the resources they don't have. Somebody has to draw in attendances and ratings. I think comparing the two is like comparing apples and oranges.

JESUS JOSEPH AND MARY, SOMEONE GETS IT!!! Thank you! I get it but i guess some people have short fuses and take this stuff way to serious. Sweet, love you sig by the way, lol. I've said this before but I feel really sad for those guys (TNA originals) that lost a paycheck or had to get cut to make room for this ppv tonight. This coulda been dobe somewhere else, not that it even needed to be done in the first place. I understand ECW people getting a little psyched for it, but Ya really gotta question If this was good for TNA. Did this do anything for our own stars? Did it do anything to help promote the company? imo, that's the real tragedy of this ppv. Now if TNA can somehow curtail this into an interesting storyline that actually pushed their own talent..ie Lethal, AJ, Joe, MCMG, etc, then It might be a good move. But I'll bet my house that aint gonna be what happens

If they take that money spent on nash, hogan, etc and try to keep the talent they have and keep guys like Angle/Christian, etc. They'd have a nice core of well recognized stars.
