cgi.EBAY LINK NOT ALLOWED/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200509101181&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBUAA:US:1123 anyone here able to snipe this auction? I had bid on it, up to $4, but forgot about it. A shame I missed it by just $0.75. I had that Henry Godwinn, the Slammers Mankind, Hogan, Mark Henry, Road Dogg, and Sting in my collection as a kid. Would have been great to have gotten a fair few of the figures I had as a kid back, for next to nothing..

Unfortunately, Austin's first figure didn't come until after Roberts was already gone from the WWF in '97, so that probably would not have happened either unless he signed some sort of a Legends contract. 1995 was full of so many jobbers that the line probably would have died before it hit '96 lol. Hakushi, Bob Backlund, and 1-2-3 Kid would have been at the top of my list. Although, there has long been a rumor that the Kid was scheduled for Superstars Series 1 and, since he left for WCW, he was replaced by Goldust and his torso was saved for Owen in Series 2, and then himself (as X-Pac) in Series 7. cgi.EBAY LINK NOT ALLOWED/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200509101181&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBUAA:US:1123 anyone here able to snipe this auction? I saw that auction for a brief second, but I don't have an interest in buying loose BCA lots and you never can tell with first-time sellers. However, that's a great price for any used lot of figures, let alone that selection.

I don't believe that rumor about the 123 Kid being in Series 1. Cause if you look at Owen's figure, his legs have a line on them where the shorts are supposed to stop at. And in the X-Pac figure he has those same lines but his legs are painted completely. I think that X-Pac is using Owen's body for sure.
Secondly, why would they cancel the Kid before Razor and Diesel?? Razor and Diesel were already in the WCW when 123 Kid was still with the WWE. The Kid actually asked for his release so he could go to WCW in September of 1996.
So no way was the Kid supposed to be in series 1. Goldust for sure was supposed to be in there, he was a big time heel then and in his IC Title reign.

I was also thinking along the lines of the torso and not so much the rest of the figure. There could have been modifications made to fit the Kid.

Man I wish I had access to all my BCA figures (I think I would make Chicago proud but they are all away in storage). Like I did with all lines, I collected 1 figure for each wrestler made. Some of my favorite figures were Series 4 Austin, Series 2 Owen Hart. Champions box set British Bulldog, Previously pictured Box set Rock. Series 5? Ken Shamrock. Grudge Match Dan Severn and the blue and white Jerry Lawler (cant remember the set think it was with Brian Christopher)

I am thinking that Series 1 was not too well known back in the day, being that I know - myself included - and others have said before the first time they ever saw BCA style figures was the Series 2 line. So is that the reason why Bret Hart & Shawn Michaels (and in some cases Goldust and Diesel) were released again in series 3??

I don't think I was aware of the Series 1 figures until around Series 2 or 3 when some of them were still hanging around on the pegs at KayBees and various other stores.
I've heard from enough people that found them when they first hit stores, so it was fairly well known considering they were the first legitimate WWF action figures since the Hasbro license ended in 1994. There is much debate about when Series 1 was originally released, but only Diesel and Razor from the first set were considered hard to find or valuable at the time or shortly after.
Bret and Shawn were probably re-released to save costs from producing two new figures and since both were top names in the company, thus giving the series some extra star power.

I just got the J.O.B Squad Bob Holly and the Blue Blood Hunter Hearst Helmsley in great condition loose this weekend at the flea market. 6 bucks for both, good buy for me. Insight on either fig?

pretty sure the Job Squad Holly was the first figure to come with the breakaway table, the same table that Jakks is still using to this day. Sadly, his table was more detailed than all the tables that came in the RAs, an actually painted and detailed table, rather than just brown plastic. If it's the original release of the figure, it came from the Road Rage series.
Blue Blood Hunter, again if it's original release, came from Superstars series 4

I wouldn't spend any more than $3 each for loose BCAs if at all possible, so I'd say it was a fair deal. Does the Holly have a black tanktop? If so, that would be his debut Superstars Series 9 figure. Helmsley's debut figure with the ponytail and black tights is not a particularly good representation of him in his face or overall size (as the Superstars Series 6 figure would improve upon), but it was all that we had to choose from and could do the job (well, as good as HHH can do a job ). Post pics if you get the chance.

Glad I could help. Did anyone win the DX 4-pack for a little over $5 shipped or the Bret/Owen 2-pack for over $16 shipped on eBay this evening? I had my eye on both of them, yet managed to forget about both in their final hours lol. There were great deals to be had there.

They are amazing for me anyway and I love the J.O.B Squad. Did they ever make an Al Snow themed J.O.B Squad?

Oh man, BCA Superlatives? Count me in. 1. Favorite Superstars Series figure? Superstars 2 Owen, Superstars 5 Flash Funk, Superstars 6 Jeff Jarrett. Those stand out immensely. 2. Favorite 2 Tuff Series 2-pack (or Grudge Match/Tag Team Series, if you prefer)? I was most pumped to get the 2-Tuff 2 New Age Outlaws. Tag Teams LOD were great too, though I never had those exact figures. I had the Signature Series and Shotgun Saturday Night and LOD 2000 ones. Loved the Brian Christopher that came in a Grudge Match with Taka, but I was upset about having another Taka. 3. Favorite Slammers Series figure? Patriot BY FAR. Hated Slammers for the most part, I liked the Taka figure but felt he was too big. Dude Love was a decent one too. 4. Favorite Signature Series figure? Signature Series 2 Billy Gunn. I always LOVED his metallic blue tights. 5. Favorite S.T.O.M.P. Series figure? Brian Pillman, but I gotta give a shoutout to Crush too, because I'll never know why but that was my favorite Crush. 6. Favorite Boxed Set (Single figure with accessories, 3 or 4-pack)? 3 Faces of Foley probably, that Cactus ruled. Too bad I already had the Dude and Mankind from the set, so I felt jipped buying a box set for just 1 figure. Either that, or the Championship Belt 4-Pack, with Bulldog Owen Taker and Rocky. That ruled. 7. Favorite debut BCA figure? X-Pac 8. Favorite BCA Staff figure (Manager, Announcer, etc)? LOVED the Referee, he was such a ing pain in the ass to get. Loved the Honky Tonk Man figure too, but I used him as a wrestler haha. 9. Favorite BCA-era wrestling ring? Monster ring, but the Attitude ring RULED when it first came out. A Cage? yeah. 10. Favorite BCA-era accessory for figures (what they wore)? I remember loving Rocky's entrance thing, but I ended up selling it eventually. 11. Favorite BCA-era weapon for figures (what they fight with)? The dumpster was awesome and so hard to get. 12. The one debut BCA figure you wish Jakks had made? I wanted a Blue Meanie figure worse than you could imagine. 13. The one repainted BCA figure you wish Jakks had made? Always wanted a Shawn repaint in his black/green DX tights. 14. Figures (list one or as many as you can remember) that you always wanted but could never find? The only character in the BCA line I never had was the Executioner, and I wanted him SO BAD. But he commended such a high price on ebay that I couldn't afford him. 15. Did you like the stands that came with the BCA figures or would you have rather had actual accessories pertaining to the wrestler? I hated the stands. I remember using them as chairs before they made chairs regularly, haha. 16. Favorite figure for playing purposes? Series 2 Owen ruled for playing, so did the Billy Gunn figures. Loved the Henry Godwinn too. And the Sultan 17. Favorite BCA carding? Never had much of a preference. 18. Favorite BCA exclusive figure (can be individual or in a boxed set)? Warrior repaint in Green from Survivor Series box set. LOVED IT. 19. If Jakks had continued with either non-BCA line, Legends or Ripped and Ruthless, which would you have wanted? Never had any figures from either, so none. 20. Favorite all-around aspect of the BCA line (playability, likenesses, collectability, etc)? Being able to buy a figure for $5. and the versatility of the line, 1996-1999 might not seem like a long run now but they pumped out almost every relevant character in that era. 21. Favorite overall figure? Grudge Match Triple H in his metallic blue tights, Series 6 Jarrett, or series 2 Owen.

I prefer the Hollys with colorful trunks, but I still need one from the Backlash series (Series 5) which is dark blue and black attire with pink trim. SlayKnot has it in his collection, but I can't seem to find the thing for a reasonable price. Also, if you're a JOB Squad fan, I'm sure you'd love this Grudge Match 2-pack. Edit: Forgot to include this Al Snow, too, from the Grudge Match 2-pack with Road Dogg (a Fully Loaded Series 1 re-release).
