I liked the chairs with the rounded tops. I don't know if they came with BCA or TTL

I believe Fully Loaded Series 2 The Rock was the first to use the rounded top chair, so it definitely was a BCA original.

Yep those are the types of chairs. Thanks chicago!

I felt that the older style chairs with stood more than the round top chairs. I had so many of the newer style chairs break compared to the old ones that came with the DTA sets and Livewire sets. I also enjoyed the older ladders too, cause you could set it up as a platform for the BCA's to stand on. But the newer style ladders do look better on display, but the BCA style ones were more fun to play with.

The original chair and ladder molds felt too blocky to me, if that makes any sense.
I liked the smooth texture used on some of the rounded top chairs, including the one with the FL2 Rock, and I always thought they were easier to fold, too. The originals look cartoonish and didn't fit in with the figures once they developed "attitude." Sure, they might give off a better echo upon impact lol, but the later chairs were more aesthetically-pleasing.
They also lasted us all the way through RA figures, so more collectors will probably identify with them anyway.
For those interested, there are two loose BCA figure lots on eBay right now that look to be in great condition. They're not mine, but they are going for a decent price.
Search for: "WWF BCA Action figure lot (40 included; rare)" and "WWF Action Figure Lot (BCA; 40 included; rare)" to find them.

I liked those old style chairs also. I still have a couple of mine. I used the red and yellow "WAR ZONE" and "RAW is WAR" ones for my commentators. Who did commentary when you guys would have a match? For me it was Jim Ross and Vince McMahon...who awkwardly stood in front of his chair, since he couldn't move. Once Owen Hart died, he "retired" from active wrestling and did commentary with JR in my fed. Still wrestled once in a while, though

Most of the time I wouldn't even bother and just called the action myself lol but, if I did, it would have likely been an announce team of JR and Jerry Lawler/Jim Cornette/Vince McMahon/whoever I felt like putting behind the table to join Ross.
Honestly, all of the commentator figures, even managers, should have had knee articulation.

my commentary team was usually Jim Ross and Honky Tonk Man. I had been using Honky as a wrestler, but after an ill fated stiff guitar shot, he suffered a broken neck/head that had to be superglued back on, effectively ending his in ring career. For months afterwards, he wore a paper neckbrace at ringside

I used Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler as my commentary team.
The last time i saw the BCA figures in stores was at KB toys when it was closing down. I got a Backlash series Billy Gunn for $2.99 . It is in storeage now.
I remember going to a local flea market and trading 3 loose ttl figures (Kane,Mankind,Rock) for the 2 Tuff 2 pack of the Rock and Owen Hart MOC.
I remember doing odd jobs for all the people in my neighborhood. (cutting grass, raking leafs, cleaning out gutters) to be able to get money for wrestling figures. I felt like such a big spender when i bought all of the Road Rage series.
I would do a wrestling draft with my figures. I would lay out all of my figures and write there names on little slips of paper and draw them out one at a time. That is how i created my rosters for wwf,wcw and ecw.

Why wasn't there ever a BCA Jim Neidhart figure?? Clearly he was around long enough to have had one figure at least.

This is how I would do my Royal Rumbles. I would start each Rumble ppv with a one on one match, the winner became the 30th entrant and the loser would be the 1st entrant. Then I would write all the other participants names on little slips of paper and put the papers in the dumpster that came with my SpiderMan Daily Bugle playset. I would randomly draw out a piece of paper during my rumble and thats who I would bring into the ring next.

Why wasn't there ever a BCA Jim Neidhart figure?? Clearly he was around long enough to have had one figure at least. You would think that, but I don't believe Jakks ever committed to a Neidhart figure due to his iffy contract situation with the WWF. He was being paid-per-appearance during his final 1997 run and I don't believe Jakks ever received the okay from the WWF to produce a figure of him. Neidhart was gone after the Montreal Screwjob as he defected to WCW with other members of the family (Bret, Bulldog) so, given the four-to-six month grace period necessary for Jakks to make a new figure, their time table never quite matched up with his tenure. It's a shame, too, because I really do feel that he would have been made had he 1. been signed to a legitimate contract/contract of length or 2. continued with the company for another two or three months. Obviously, I doubt the Hart Foundation would still be relevant by that point, but Jakks could put an existing Owen in a pack (like that Owen/HHH Grudge Match set that was released after so long) with Neidhart's debut figure. I'm sure they could have made it work, but it didn't seem like much of a priority for them at the time.

That does make sense now that you mention it, Chicago. I remember in the summer of 97 that Neidhart said if anyone on The Hart Foundation team lost at Summerslam that he'd shave his goatee off. And then he disappeared and it never happened, only to come back in like October again. So that 'pay per appearance' thing seems about right. Too bad though, an Anvil figure would have went well with the Pillman, Owen, Davey and Bret figures.

I remember going into TRU and see the best of 1997 series with the black paper style vest. I bought all of them and used the Bret Hart to do interviews.

Neidhart should have been made. He's the only Hart Foundation member that never got a figure. Which is too bad, since he was an original member of the Hart Foundation to begin with.
Maybe they could have put him in a DX box set with Michaels, HHH, and Chyna. Y'know, since he joined DX for like an hour before he went to WCW.

Of all the commemorative sets I could imagine, that would probably be the oddest lol.
I'm pretty sure those Hart Foundation jackets with the Best of '97 figures were meant to be released in a special series with those kind of accessories or a boxed set (which surely would have included Neidhart had it been a 4-pack). Those plans were changed and we ended up getting those figures for the TRU exclusive Best of '97 singles series, except without Neidhart.

Yeah, makes sense. Neidhart wouldn't have been a hard figure for Jakks to make, they'd have probably gone the route of a re-painted Vader with a new head. If it wasn't for that pay-per-appearance deal, I'd bet that's the figure we would have gotten.

If only Jakks made an exclusive box set for the Final 4 ppv from February 97. Could have had Bret, Taker, Austin and Vader with blood coming from his face for the exclusive figure in that box set. That would have been an awesome set actually.

I'm kinda surprised we didn't get a box set from Summerslam '97. It could have had Bret/Undertaker with a Referee Shawn for the exclusive. Or if not, at least have Bret, Undertaker, Austin, and Owen. That'd have been a pretty big seller.

Yeah, but that goes back to Bret's departure three months later at Survivor Series and there not being enough time to make it happen. Also, to that point, Jakks had never altered the Referee body to make a Special Guest Ref figure yet, so I don't know if they would have been willing to try it or just re-release a Michaels in wrestling gear.
Either way, it would have been a popular set like you said. Can't forget to include a black chair, too.
Speaking of boxed sets, does anyone have any (planned or fantasy) that they wanted the most throughout the BCA line? Meaning, within the years of 1996 to 1999 and considering that not all boxed sets included brand new figures (i.e. mostly repaints or re-releases).
Think of it like a Top Five, if you will.
