What figure were you excited to get and then once you got it were pretty disappointed with it??
Probably both Series 1 Diesel re-releases (on Series 3 card) and the Series 2 Undertaker that I opened only to discover that neither could stand for a crap with floppy arms, legs and torsos. Unfortunately, it happens a lot with the earlier Jakks figures; consider yourself lucky if you have a brand new figure with tight joints.
Was there ever a figure that you wanted so bad that you went to several different stores just to find it?
Not really (although I do remember my mother finding Venis and X-Pac, or was it Edge?, for me from TRU soon after they were released), but I feel that way when it comes to figures that I want now as I browse eBay and other online stores. Lord knows why I spend so much time looking for deals on MOC Slammers and S.T.O.M.P. figures, but I do because it always comes to mind when I stare blankly at the eBay search bar.

Did anyone decide to push a wrestler based on a new mold that came out for a figure of his??
Perfect example for me is Triple H. I had his series 4 figure but all I did was give him European Titles and I think the IC Title once. He just looked so small and I couldn't picture him being my World Champion. But then I got the 2 pack of Shawn Michaels and Triple H and Triple H had the new head mold and body. And I quickly then put the IC title back on him and had him go for the World Title.
So what figures out there didn't you push because you didn't like how they were designed?? And what ones did you upgrade just so you could push that figure to the top??

I remember seeing the Diesel on the re-released card at Target. It was mothers day and I was supposed to be there with my dad buying flowers. We bought the flowers and the Diesel. It was by far the most excited I had ever been for a figure, probably up to this day.

Oh man, I remember seeing the WWF Camo Carnage series on the back of another series' cards and I wanted one SOOOOOOOOOO BAD!! Of course, being an Austin fan, I wanted Austin, but I coudn't find ANY of them ANYWHERE! My mom carried me to the only TRU and KB within an hour's drive of us several times and I never could find them. Finally, after I had all but given up, I strolled into Babbage's (now Game Stop) and there they were. They had Billy, Roadie and Trips, but at $13 a pop (in 1998/1999) I could only get one. I got Triple H and opened him as soon as we got back to the car. I was so excited! I pulled him from the package to find that his hip & knee articulations (this was one of the first WWF figures to have them) were so loose that they flopped around wildly. He couldn't even stand up!! I couldn't play with him at all. So disappointed...

I had thei think ledgends looking taker with bad hair lol it was like his survivor series 1998 attire then i ogt the ministry taker and he became in a fued with kane over the wwf championship and eventually won it at my wrestlemania ppv in 99. Great times then when his superstar signature series came out and he has like red in his attire i had him become more demonic and take out everyone that was iin his path of destruction. I was happy when mankind got his ned molds becasue i kinda hated the shirt and leg molds for those figures. Thats my first undertaker i was talking about. I own that prototype

And what ones did you upgrade just so you could push that figure to the top?? Mine would also be Triple H. When i got the one from the Fully Loaded series i pushed him to a wwf title shot as soon as i got home. The two figures that never did anything in my fig fed were Savio Vega and the Sulton.

Did anyone actually use the bone-crunching action of the figures?

Here you go:
That is actually a great question about the BCA function, because I never used it in matches and would only occasionally mess around with it if there were a loose figure nearby.
My Tag Team Series 1 Henry Godwinn has a protruding piece in his right forearm, I believe, but it's not that big of a deal to me.
It never occurred to me before until just now that enabling the feature would be especially useful in an injury storyline. Crack an arm or leg to hear the bone snap and there you have it. Your BCA figure is ready for a middle-of-the-week surgery with Dr. James Andrews followed by 3-to-6 months of rehab lol.

There had to have been a lot of work put into that Kane vs. Yokozuna video. That was very cool though!!

I never used the Bone Crunching Action on my figures. I never thought about it.
I had the rubber split open on my Series 1 HBK and Series 2 Warrior. I also had the peg come thru the arm of my Series 2 Bret Hart. The bad part was the plastic piece in his arm was Black.

I never used the Crunching action.
I had the white peg stick out of Mankind's forearm/wrist.

I had about 5 WCW Toybiz refs and 4 refs from the Ringside collection series 1.
Was anyone a fan of the Ringside collection series 1 and 2?
I remember going into TRU and seeing series 1 and buying Vince and the ref.
I found series 2 at Kaybee toys and bought the whole set at once. My favorite from series 2 was Jim Ross.
I bought an Moc Sable (in the red dress) awhile back from a flea market for $1.00 I still have it around here somewhere.lol

I too had several Toybiz referees. All my friends had Kevin Nash figures and none of them really wanted the referee. most times though, the ref just stood in the corner, because I only have two hands.
I never found Ringside Collection 1. I only found series 2 once, at Target. I got War Tony JR and Honky Tonk Man. The only other one they had from the set was Slaughter

I still remember going into Kaybee toys and marking out when i seen the Jim Cornette lol.
I used that Cornette figure quite alot in my fig fed. I had six figures in "camp Cornette" they were: Bulldog Owen Hart Vader Yokozuna The Patriot Lance Storm

My hand was the ref, I'd slap the mat for the 3 count. If I wanted the ref to be down, I'd have the wrestler hit my hand and it would fly over the top rope onto the floor.
I always wanted the Sultan figure, but I never was able to get him.
Anyone want to start the TTL line thread?

Because this board has way too many stickies as is, and as long as the thread is active, it'll be at the top of the board. If it stops being active, it doesn't need to stick around

I never really used any of the referee figures that were made available to me, be it Toybiz or Jakks, but I did have them in my collection. Like Slappy, my hand was the ref 9.9 times out of 10.
Speaking of collections, the Ringside Collection series was a great achievement for Jakks, I've always thought. It provided for us a more diverse roster of WWF action figures and really opened the doors for many of the managers and female figures that were made in the years following the BCA era.
Some of the figures don't nearly get the appreciation that they deserve (Slaughter and Honky Tonk Man come to mind), but I suspect none of the personnel were favorites among kids who strictly played with the wrestlers in their ring gear.
That obviously wasn't their purpose as ringside figures, but I feel like I can appreciate them more now that I'm older. The fact that series 3 had so much potential (from rumors, since I don't think Jakks made it past the discussion stage) and then nothing ever came of it still disappoints me; I would have definitely bought The Stooges.
