my favorite head sculpts:
1. Mankind's series 3/Slammers 2. Shawn Michaels DTA/Shotgun 3. Owen Hart - series 2 4. Undertaker - final 2 Tuff series 5. Kane 6. Henry Godwinn 7. The Big Boss Man 8. Triple H - first non-pony tail sculpt 9. Billy Gunn in bandana 10. Gangrel
Here's an interesting bit. I never had any of the Maximum Sweat figures, because I thought they were ugly and stupid, but I liked their weapons. I had the sledgehammer, concrete blocks, and the crate. I always liked to use them in my hardcore matches. I loved the sledgehammer. I didn't use it as a sledgehammer. I bought the Sunday Night Heat Austin specifically to get the sledgehammer. I used it as a "block on a stick" and it was generally a match ender if it got used. I had Kane as a psychopath for a while, and he'd try to hurt/kill his opponents with the block on a stick. I used to do my best to talk my friends out of their cool weapons. I'd trade an extra Austin, Undertaker, Billy Gunn, Rock, whatever popular guy that I had 2 or 3 of in a heartbeat to get some cool weapons. I remember trading my bend ums ring (which I used as an entrance cart for big events, circa Wrestlemania 3) for like 5 chairs, a table, 2 buckets, a super soaker, 2 crutches, like 10 of the WCW toybiz small crates, and 2 trash cans. Definitely think I came out on the better end!

I got a sweat figure that came with a big Hardcore title. I think it was Billy Gunn.
I got a question about the BCA line. Was there not in series 2 or 3, going to be a Jake Roberts figure, but was removed and they put in the re-release Shawn and Bret from series 1? I heard a rumor about that.

Back in like 1999/2000, I got an announce table from a friend of mine, I traded him an extra Toybiz DDP I had.
I thought that having an announce table was much more important than having 2 DDP's.
Not BCA or TTL, but a story anyways about a Jakks product.
My 2nd cousin bought his son the first Elimination Chamber that came out. We lived down the block from them. I went over there one day and my great aunt asked if I wanted the EC. She said she would give it to me for free because her grandson, my 2nd cousins son, was being bad and she wanted to teach him a lesson, so she gave it to me. So, she gathered all the pieces and gave them to me and I walked home quite happy to have the Chamber.
Another story since we don't have an RA line post.
The same 2nd cousin, decided after my grandma died that if I got a new wrestler, it would take my mind off of the sadness of my grandma's death and I'd go play and be happy. He got me Eugene. I took it and thanked him, I opened it up and threw it in my tub of wrestlers and never used it. I didn't want to be reminded of my grandma's death every time I used it.

I'm not going to say that it couldn't have happened, but I really don't believe there were plans to make him in either series 2 or 3. He was with the company until February 1997, so you would think that there is enough time to plan a Roberts figure and have it reach store shelves. Obviously something else got in the way to prevent it from happening, or maybe there wasn't anything there to further speculate on since it is just a rumor. I've not come across any information that says Roberts was scheduled or even considered, but I wouldn't rule it out. One of my biggest wants for the line would be a King of the Ring 1996 Grudge Match exclusive 2-pack featuring him and Austin.

Ever any plans for Los Boricuas or Jim Neidhart or Furnas/Lafon or Tom Pritchard or Salvatore Sincere? They all (with maybe the exception of Neidhart) probably would have sold badly, but they were apart of the roster for a while anyways during the first few years of the BCA run.

Yeah, I always wondered why they didn't produce a BCA Jim Neidhart. I mean, they hit EVERY other member of the Hart Foundation: Bret, Owen, Bulldog and Pillman.

I wondered the same thing, but some people filled me in that Neidhart in 97 was a pay-per-appearance deal, so they probably didn't do a toy because no one knew exactly where he stood with the company. Shame too, they had Vader's body which would have suited Anvil very well. If you go back a bit, someone made a Hart Foundation custom Tag Team set with Bret and Jim that looks really nice.

Neidhart: What Haggar said. Los Boricuas/Furnas & LaFon: Both were considered, if not planned in Los Boricuas case. If Furnas & LaFon had been around longer, they would have had figures. No doubt about it. Los Boricuas were probably scrapped since they were never an important stable to begin with and Jakks could see the writing on the wall of their level of popularity. Tom Pritchard/Salvatore Sincere: Nope.

I had a chance this past weekend to get the Undertaker/Viscera 2 pack MOC for $25.00 from a flea market. Is this a good price?
I asked the lady if she would take any less and she said "No they go for twice that price on ebay". She also had a stomp series 2 Austin and Rock they were $10.00 each.

No, it's definitely too much for that pack. I know that it can be hard to find at times and that there aren't many available right now on eBay, but you should never have to spend more than $10, $15 tops for it. The lady is a joke, because no BCA 2-pack will ever sell for $50, let alone $30 or 40, on eBay. Her Austin and Rock figures are overpriced too by about $5-6 each, although a typical price for MOC S.T.O.M.P. figures would be in the $3-5 price range.

I always try to keep in mind retail prices when I buy BCA figures nowadays. $5 for singles and $10 for double packs is/was the standard, so I always try to keep it somewhere inbetween $5-10 for 2-packs (under $6 for singles). I would follow this simple chart for buying 2-packs: $5 and under - Great deal, as you really couldn't ask for a better price. $6 to $10 - Good deal, but there are cheaper options if you stay patient and keep an eye out for them. $11 to $15 - Fair deal, but it had better be worth paying more than you would in stores for it (see: exclusives). $16 to $20 - Poor deal, as you shouldn't have to spend twice the retail price for BCA 2-packs in the year 2010 (although there can be an exception with the Razor/Diesel, Hart Family Feud exclusives). $21-25 - Bad deal, and I would try to avoid this at all costs for regular 2-packs (even the exclusives aren't quite as desirable in this price range). $26 and over - You're getting screwed and that's all there is to it.

I always hate it when i go into a flea market and see that someone has a MOC bca figure and they are asking 3 times what the figure is worth . I understand they are trying to make money but they need to be reasonable with there prices. About a year ago i was at a flea market. There was a guy who always delt in old toys.(he is no longer at the flea market) One time i noticed he had about 11 Moc bca figures on his back wall. He never marked anything in his booth. As soon as i started looking at the figures he said "can i help you" I pointed to a series 3 Bret Hart and asked him how much he said "25.00 it's rare".I then pointed to a Ringside series 2 Jim Cornette and said how much. He said "$18.00 it goes for twice that much on the Internet". I went back to that flea market two weeks later and his booth was gone. I can't help but think he has now moved on to try and sell his overpriced BCA figures at another flea market.

In this day and age, if someone told me something goes for "twice that on the internet", especially for BCAs, I'd pull out my phone, go on eBay, and prove them wrong right there..

I remember when series 4 came out..I got Lawler at Wal-Mart and the receipt had Jake Roberts as his name.My brother got some figure out of the set maybe Farooq, and his receipt said Mark Henry..so i immediately figured those guys would be made in the future..Henry was eventually, but Roberts never was..which sucked..

Whenever i look at wrestling figures i always get the crazy person who thinks they are going to try and screw me on the price.
One time there was an ad in the local newspaper that said 25 wrestling figures for $15.00 I called and the lady was nice. She said they were her sons and he no longer played with them so he was looking to sell them. I asked her on the phone if it was $15.00 for everything and she said yes.
I got to there house and she had everything setup in the garage. It was mainly RA figures with maybe one or two bca figures. A broken down spring ring and a titan tron. I handed her the $15.00 and she said "Which figure do you want?".I then told her that she told me on the phone that it was $15.00 for everything. She then said "No i didn't, I told you they were $15.00 each". I then took my money back and left.

She probably was saying "$15 for everything" as in everything there is $15 each. How horrible. Yes, wrestling figures cost that when you buy them but really, do they think they will make that much back and then some??
It's like when you buy a new car, once it goes off the dealership it loses value. So of course once you buy a wrestling figure and take it home it loses value. And if it's opened and played with then it's worth really nothing when you think of it.

BCA figures were overproduced during their time, so I wouldn't listen to anybody who says that they have a rare figure. Hell, even the 1 of 5,000 Sable and Undertaker figures are extremely easy to find for under $6-7 MIB "on the Internet." The exclusive 2-packs and a few of the boxed sets can still reach $20 or more shipped, but remember that shipping can be $7-8 for some of them and that takes a huge chunk away from the seller's earnings. Not to mention, listing and final value fees on eBay take a cut from that, so $10 is more realistic. Always check the completed listings on eBay for an accurate price assessment of BCA figures these days. Oh, and only look at the listings that actually sold, not those that have been relisted a thousand times.
