She probably was saying "$15 for everything" as in everything there is $15 each. How horrible. Yes, wrestling figures cost that when you buy them but really, do they think they will make that much back and then some?? I guess she was trying to retire by selling wrestling figures lol. The worst markup i have ever seen was at a flea market. This guy went to yard sales and goodwill stores looking for wrestling figures. He found an ljn ring with 7 figures and about a handful of bca figures. He had them sitting on the back wall of his booth.I pointed to a white shirt Hulk Hogan ljn and asked him how much and he said "I want $185.00 for it".I didn't tell him there was a goodwill sticker on the back of the figure that said $2.99

I dealt with this not too long ago. Probably about 6 months ago, there was a convenience store with a head shop set up within it. The guy in there had a 2 Tuff 3 Rock/Owen Hart two-pack for $35. And, while for my money, they're some of the best versions of Owen and Rocky from the BCA days, I know for a fact I could get them much cheaper on eBay.

I ran into this earlier this year also.
While on vacation at Daytona Beach, FL I hit their flea market early on a Friday morning. I found 1 vendor selling WWF/WWE figures. He had a pretty nice indoor setup with all kinds of collectible figures from Spawn to retro Flintstones. He had a big rotating display loaded down with wrestling figures, mostly later RAs and Classic Superstars. On top of this display was the Mick Foley's Triple Threat box set, it's box nearly destroyed, and behind the counter hung even more CS and late RAs.
Amongst his stock was the Cyber Sunday Jeff Hardy (1st facepaint Hardy). He was asking $45. I had just bought that Hardy the day before, from the TRU just a mile away from his shop, on clearance for $6. I found that he had several CS18 figs that I needed. The cheapest CS18 he had was Kane... $25. Looking around I spotted CS28! I asked him about them and he said that a local collector had "given" them to him. He was asking $60 a piece for Bret and Shawn. Of course none of these prices were negotiable.
On my way out, just for sh*ts and giggles (and even though I already own it), I asked how much he wanted for the Foley Triple Threat BCA box set... $75. My wife actually laughed out loud at that answer and quickly covered her mouth as we walked away.

I was at Comic Con and this dude had all these CS figures for outrageous prices. A DA Scott Hall was $25 in a wore down box, DA Hogan was $90! Like really? So I know exactly how u feel.

I hate people like that. I hope they end up having to keep all those wrestling figure too without ever selling them. To have prices marked that high is ridiculous. I know they want to make some money, I get that. But to have figures at $60 - $75 is just so dumb to me.
I had a woman tell me once she paid $200 for a LJN Bret Hart figure at a store back in the late 80's and she would sell it to me loose for $125. I just looked at her and walked away.

People like that, I want to ask them "Dude, if you don't want to sell it, why do you have it in your store?" Seems like they put such a ridiculous price on it so that, JUST IN CASE they sell it, they can easily get another one on eBay and keep 50% or more of their profit.
On a side note, back to BCAs...I remember once I took my hardcore ring outside onto the back deck and did an outdoor PPV. The main event was Undertaker vs. Mankind in a Buried Alive match, so I had the ring set up next to my sister's sandbox.

I found a BCA Wildman Marc Mero in a box full of happy meal toys. His paint was nearly all scratched or had other toys paint scratched onto it. The joints were really loose. The box they were in (keep in mind, 95% of the other toys were happy meal toys that came for free, in recent years) was $4. I laughed and walked away

For anyone interested, eBay seller unlimitedwc07 has BCA title belts available in Buy It Now lots.
There is a Best Offer option, so maybe a better deal can be had for them.
I've always liked the belts made for the BCA figures, but I don't know why since they look awful by comparison with those from the Real Scan era.

There was a guy in the local flea market that had a display case of RA,CS,LJN, BCA.He was asking $2.00 each. I bought a CS Sabu loose. He asked me if he came with a title and i told him no. From that point on whenever he gets in any figures he will always work deals with me.I got a classic series Kane and Brian Pillman both for $20.00 they are moc.

What a great thread this is. The BCA line was the main figure line that I collected first hand. I did collect Hasbros, but near the end of their release in late 1993/early 1994, and just resumed collecting Hasbros as of this year through eBay, etc.
Not sure if I have asked this before... Although the majority of the BCA line has lost its value and usually can't be sold nowadays for more than the original retail value ($5.00 for singles, $10.00 for 2 packs, and $15.00 or so for box sets), what do you all, as collectors, consider to be your most prized BCA figure, whether MOC or loose? What BCA item did you always want as a kid but never got?
For me, my most prized BCA items are the Razor Ramon-Diesel 2-pack and Hart vs. Hart 2-packs MOC. I did not get to own these two until 2009, and had wanted them ever since 96/97, when they were going for well over $100 each.
What do I still want? Bret, Owen, and Bulldog Best of '97 MOC with the Hart Foundation jackets, and the Survivor Series box set with green Warrior, MIB. I found a BO97 Bret on eBay for $20.00, and a Survivor Series box set MIB on Ebay for I believe $75.00. Both ridiculous amounts. Still waiting for a good deal.

Good to see another smart buyer join the crowd. For me, the MOC Blue Blazer I've had since just after he passed is my most prized wrestling figure collectible. I wanted the Series 1 Diesel and Razor Ramon for the longest time and finally got my hands on them for the first time in 2007. I never found them in stores and probably never expected to get them until I saw BCA prices had really dropped off in the mid-to-late 2000s and I made a few purchases on eBay. My wants range from regular BCA repaints and boxed sets that I'm still after (Backlash/Live Wire/Sunday Night Heat series figures, Championship Title Series #2 4-pack, etc.) to Slammers and S.T.O.M.P. figures that I need to round out my collection. I haven't made much progress lately, but I also haven't found many good deals that I think are worth bidding on/buying.

My most prized BCA figure would be Slammer series 2 Kane. I remember going from store to store trying to find it. When i finally found it at Meijers they had two of him. I bought both one to keep MOC and one loose.
The one figure that i wanted but never got was the Livewire series Marc Mero in the red boxing trunks.I went to several different Kmarts but never found it.

what do you all, as collectors, considered your most prized BCA figure, whether MOC or loose? What BCA item did you always want as a kid but never got? Good questions! My most coveted BCA figures were when The Rock and Owen Hart came in the 2 Tuff 3 set. The new, current attire for my two favorite Nation members was a great pack indeed. The one I never got and always wanted was Superstars 2 Bret Hart. The only Bret figure to have the black pants at the time, which I was a fan of since his WM13 match with Austin. The only Hitman figure I had was the Slammers one, and he was getting pretty beat up from FREQUENT use, haha.

Does anyone know where I could find more pictures of the display in the background? I want to say this is from Toy Fair '98, but I don't know for sure. If so, I don't recall ever seeing pics of the stuff on display behind the Headbangers.

^ I see the original WWF Championship box set back there, as well as at least two of the mini rings...
I don't think I've ever seen those Headbangers buddies before! Were they ever actually released?
There's an HBK one on the right too!! Cool....

My all time favorite BCA figure is a Billy Gunn not because I was a huge Billy Gunn fan. But because it was so fun to play with for some reason. Even when RA came out I would still buy some BCAs at KB Toy Store and I wish Jakks would put more detail on the new TNA BCAs! Anyway long live BCA

I'm more interested in the BCA boxed sets inbetween them; I can see Bulldog and Owen from the Championship Title Series #1 set which looks about the same, but notice how the Special Edition set has a checkered background and different box art on the front. None of the Special Edition boxed sets that were released look like that. I wish I could find more pictures from this event.

I had Dude Love. I got it still in box from Goodwill for $8. the box had a big slit in the top but the buddy was mint. This is when they were still in stores, too. I never really cared for it, because the hard plastic feet, hands, and head made it hard to play with and do moves to, as opposed to the ones from the early 90s that were fully pillows. I think I eventually either destroyed it or traded it for a few figures.
