Only when a body part broke off by accident, I would. If not, then all the BCA's I had were used in my roster.

ive got a good question for you all! in the past or present have you retired any of your bca wrestlers in your roster? I retired Owen Hart after his death. Well, from the ring. He became color commentator with JR, since I never had a Jerry Lawler figure.

There was a time where I probably didn't use Owen out of (well, at least what I thought could be considered) respect to his passing.
However, I don't think I ever retired a figure unless it broke or I hated using it (once again, all eyes are on you, Savio and Sultan).

I did retire Owen Hart the night after he died. I had all the figures who were on that nights raw stand in the ring and face Owen. (Who was standing on my dresser).
I also retired Series 1 Razor and Nash after they jumped ship to wcw. They both made a return during my invasion angle.
The sultan only had one match in my fig fed and it was against Bradshaw. The match lasted 5 seconds with Bradshaw winning.
I did retire my series 2 HBK because his leg popped out when he was trying to superkick Goldust.

I actually loved the Bone Crunchin' Buddies line. I have Stone Cold Steve Austin, L.O.D. 2000 Hawk & Animal, Dude Love and HBK. Austin is loose but the rest are MIB. I even have two mini Bone Crunchin' Buddies (Austin & The Rock) with clips on the back in sealed bags!!
As for retiring figures; Some of my figs got used less than others during certain periods. I don't know if any were ever retired... though my Superstars series 3 Bret met an early end in his career when, while executing a perfect sharpshooter, the rubber of the knee split exposing the hard plastic "crunching" joint.

I have a Steve Austin and Dude Love BCB in my closet right now, easily accessible. If anyone wants HQ pics, I can take them.

If i remember right they also made a few where they would not talk. I had Hogan,Nash,Goldberg,Sting (both red and white face) and Bret Hart. My favorite was Bret Hart.

I was just watching an old Saturday Night Live episode (Dylan McDermott/Foo Fighters from 11/7/99) that recently aired on VH1 and there was a BCA figure reference during Weekend Update. Of course, it had to do with the Al Snow figure controversy at Walmart, and the punchline of the joke (if you can call it that with Colin Quinn delivering the material) ironically had nothing to do with the WWF or figure collectors. I did take a screencap, though: It should also be mentioned that the wrong figure (Signature Series 5) is pictured; Road Rage Series Al Snow is the one that received complaints since it included the Head accessory, and we all know where that story went.

I totally forgot about the Snow controversy. What happened? Have something to do with Head?

I totally forgot about the Snow controversy. What happened? Have something to do with Head? Entirely. Basically, some lady complained that she thought the figure was promoting murder and decapitation of women (not realizing the head in question was based on a mannequin rather than a real woman's head). But Wal-Mart, in their infinite wisdom (and apparently, with doing no subject research whatsoever) pulled the product.

Here's a question to consider:
Is Al Snow's figure the one thing most non-collectors or bandwagon fans from the late 90s will remember about the BCA line?
And, if that's true, does it then become the most popular BCA figure ever made (at least among the general public because of the media coverage)?
I don't think many non-collectors were familiar with Blue Blazer's DTA Tour Series 2 figure, but I'm sure a case could be made for any of Austin's figures. But, you'd have to think more people would remember the Snow controversy, right?

Exactly, which is why I think the argument could be made for it.
What about the BCA figures that actual collectors would look back on as some of the most popular of their time?
Austin's debut in "Bad Boys" Superstars Series 4 would be near the top of that list, along with the first Austin 3:16 figure in Signature Series 1, The Executioner, Ultimate Warrior in green attire, Razor Ramon and Diesel from Series 1, the Razor/Diesel and Bret/Owen 2-packs, Blue Blazer, New Age Outlaws debut 2 Tuff Series 2 2-pack (at least one of the more anticipated), Series 7 X-Pac, Kane's first non-Slammers figure in Series 8, LOD 2000 with helmets in 2 Tuff Series 3, Jim Ross with the correct "War Zone" jacket, Cactus Jack and plenty others.

There's not many figs I don't have from BCA. I have hundreds of them. They are by far my favorite line. The one's I don't have that I can think of are Cactus Jack and Patriot.
My prized ones I guess would be Blue Blazer (I now have 1 moc and 1 loose), I bought the yellow Razor loose and the leg came off so I finally got the full 2pack of Razor/Diesel and its still moc, Green Warrior, Yocozuna red and white.
I also retired Owen and my whole collection when Owen died for a couple weeks, but then the storyline became that Owen would want people to continue on. Owen ended up reappearing and then he had to do 10 different stipulation matches in a row in order to get a heavyweight championship shot. He ended up facing ministry Taker with the cape in the end and winning the title in a Hell in a Cell type match before that concept was even thought of. Owen then collapsed the next night in the ring and Severn beat him for the championship. Owen continued on though, his big factions were with Holly/JJ/Blackman and then back to Hart Foundation.

in a Hell in a Cell type match before that concept was even thought of. Except HIAC debuted in 1997 and Owen died in 1999.

Jim Ross with the correct "War Zone" jacket, What was the deal with "War Tony," anyway? Some people think it was a dig at Tony Schiavone from WCW. Others believe it may have to do with issues surrounding the use of "War Zone" with the figure (which doesn't make much sense since there was a "War Zone" variant after all). Maybe it was simply an error on Jakks' part as Tony was a placeholder name that was never changed in production (I know, I'm really reaching here). If there is an answer out there, I haven't come across it. It would definitely be one of the questions that I would ask someone who worked for Jakks Pacific during the time if I could EVER schedule an interview or get in contact with them. I hope that day comes.
