In my fed for a while I had Shane Mcmahon and Hardcore Holly battling for the #1 contenders spot for the title which was held by non other than Stone Cold. Just love the Holly figure.

I found this graded Superstars Series 2 Ultimate Warrior figure on eBay and didn't think much of it until I saw the last picture. Credit: eBay user nu-media-ukFor those unaware of the significance of the last picture, here is a recap of our previous discussion in this thread regarding a possible BCA Warrior variant: Did I just stumble upon a BCA Series 2 Warrior Variant?? The timing of the season couldn't be more perfect, because I just had the strangest thing happen to me. I was looking at various BCA figures from my loose collection and the thought crossed my mind that "I didn't remember this Warrior figure having an all-white logo on the back of its trunks". Instantly, I thought of Jack's post from two years ago. I proceeded to check the other loose Superstars Series 2 Warrior figure in my collection and discovered that I, too, had possibly been bit by the variant bug and never even knew it. It seems more and more likely that this figure is a legitimate variant, or at the very least we have evidence of a change made to a later run of Series 2 Warrior figures (as ellisd said). The most noticeable differences for me are the head (face paint colors are darker and crisper, and for some reason the skin tone and hair appears lighter on mine) and the trunks ( logo is smaller on the front, and obviously all-white on the back). The wrist bands and knee pads have the usual alternately sloppy Jakks painting, so it's tough to say whether or not the color/edging is intentionally different or not. I think the boots may be a darker shade of red, but not by much. So, unless 3Lephant (Naptown Icon) sold his white logo Warrior to a collector in the UK, I guess this marks the third time it's been spotted. Pretty cool, eh? Make that four! Credit: eBay user honornycI just came across images of this one for sale on eBay and I had to post it right away. Please do check your loose Superstars Series 2 Ultimate Warrior figures if you haven't yet, because you might just be sitting on the next "White Logo Warrior" to be found! Credit: eBay user ryan022483You know what this means... FIVE TIME!

I heard rumors that Jake the snake Roberts was going to be in series 2 or 3.

For those who had feds back in the day, who main evented your shows? For me it was always Patriot vs Bret Hart for the Winged Eagle Title. Mankind (Series 3 version) would often make run-ins. Those were the days... Was it their feud on TV or the figures themselves that drew you in to using those two? I would think by Summer 1998 that most had forgotten about Del Wilkes when his Patriot figure was released, but it's nice to see you never let him go lol. Stone Cold and Undertaker were likely my go-to main event. I loved using Series 1 Undertaker and Series 3 Mankind to recreate their Hell in a Cell match. Those figures could take a beating and for some reason it didn't bother me having figures with loose joints. I mean, Undertaker had been mutilated beyond recognition at that point, so I doubt a tighter waist would've made much of a difference. In my fed for a while I had Shane Mcmahon and Hardcore Holly battling for the #1 contenders spot for the title which was held by non other than Stone Cold. Just love the Holly figure. I love all of the different color attires that we got for Holly. His Backlash Series 5 figure with pink trim is my favorite of the lot.

I just recently got the backlash series Holly. Had the superstars series 9. The backlash series are cool wish I would of have them when my fed was going. I also pushed al snow, I was bad about giving the figures I liked more momentum.

Those were the days... Usually it was HBK as my champ with Rock, shamrock, bret or Sid as the main opponents or if I was at my friends house, we'd do a supercard event and have champion vs champion matches (usually HHH) against mine.

For those who had feds back in the day, who main evented your shows? For me it was always Patriot vs Bret Hart for the Winged Eagle Title. Mankind (Series 3 version) would often make run-ins. Those were the days... The Mankind/Undertaker match in my first post basically included my entire main event scene: Taker(Usual Champion, had the belt several times), Mankind, Goldust, Vader, HBK(my other frequent World Champ), Sid(had a couple of title runs), and Bret Hart(had the belt twice, in between Taker/HBK reigns). My mid-card scene was Helmsley, Austin, Rocky(those first three usually trading the IC belt), Ahmed, Faarooq, Flash Funk, and Badd/Mero. And then the tag division was Owen/Bulldog(who were usually Champions), LOD(who had the belts briefly), Headbangers, Godwinns(held the belts for a short while before losing them to the New Blackjacks in a Bunkhouse Brawl, during a time when Owen and Bulldog were contending for singles belts), New Blackjacks, and Crush and Savio. I recently found a notebook I kept match cards in and found a card for a show called "SuperStar Supercard": World Title: HBK (c) vs. Goldust Body Bag Match: Undertaker vs. Mankind I Quit Match: Bret vs. Stone Cold IC Title: Rocky (c) vs. Owen vs. Ahmed vs. Faarooq Tag Titles: New Blackjacks (c) vs. Headbangers Falls Count Anywhere Match: Hunter vs. Vader; no recollection of doing this match, but sounds interesting European Title: Bulldog (c) vs. Flash Anything Goes Match: Sid/Shamrock vs. Crush/Savio; this one, I remember for a good reason. The original STOMP figures came with guns, among other things. So "anything goes" matches would mean just that. One such match saw Mankind vs. Undertaker turn into a shootout. This show looks like it would've been fun, wish I could remember it better. I did so many Goldust/Michaels and Undertaker/Mankind matches, they all blend together. Hell, the match I described before could be the same one from this show, for all I know. Based on who was booked on the show, it would have to have been sometime after Easter 1998. I do remember doing an injury and later return angle for Undertaker after his leg fell off, which led to a Leg Submissions Only match against Bret Hart, who had also lost a leg, but returned much earlier(meaning I got a new figure). Undertaker won that match, because he almost always won if he wasn't facing Mankind or HBK.

I don't have a ton of vivid memories from the BCA line, I know S1 Bret Hart was the first one I got, for a Christmas gift from my cousins. Then I ordered the S1 Goldust because he came with the wig accessory and accessories make everything better! I think Vader and Owen were the next ones I received, and on vacation in the summer of 97 I bought Warrior and S2 HBK with the red pants (which i always liked more than the blue pants version). For some reasons, stores around me never really got the regular sets, so I had a bunch of signature series figures which I never really liked that much because it looked stupid. My favourites to buy from this line were the mid card 2 packs for some reason! Marc Mero vs Steve Blackman and Jeff Jarrett vs X-Pac (street fight 2 pack) were some of my most frequently used.

Shane McMahon led a heel stable back in the day that consisted of shamrock, droz, crush and vader. Shamrock was the heavyweight champ, droz and crush (s.t.o.m.p version) were the tag champs because they both wore green haha, and vader was the big man.
Shamrock beat the Undertaker by cheating to win the title and then kept it for a really long time. Mankind feuded with the entire group and usually got outnumbered, along with having brutal matches with vader. Droz and crush always found a way to stay tag champs.
Then Vader won the royal rumble, and Shane told him that he expects him to lay down for shamrock. Vader refuses and the entire group lays a brutal beatdown on him every week until wrestle mania.
Wrestle mania comes and vader vs shamrock is a very physical battle until droz, crush and Shane run in and start beating down vader. Undertaker and mankind run out and make the save, battling with the other members to the backstage area. Shamrock watches them leave, turns around and takes a powerbomb from vader. Vader wins then title. Yaaaaay haha.
That was one of my main story lines from many years ago when I was a youngster haha.

I think this is my first post in this thread, but I've looked through it countless times. Anyway, I've been watching 1998 Raws recently, and I've become a huge fan of Dan Severn. The dude is a legit badass. So, I looked on Ebay for his BCA figure, intending to use the head on a Mattel elite fix up. So, I bought one last week. It arrived today and I have to say, it's awesome. I can't use the head like I intended to, it's that awesome. The joints are tighter than an Elite I bought a week ago. For a near 20 year old figure, that's damn impressive. He joins my small, but growing BCA collection. These figures have a certain charm that I just don't understand. I think the seller might be a member here, if so let me know!

I've boughten Goldust,Marlena,Dan Severn,Ken Shamrock,Cactus Jack,Mankind,The Rock,Chyna,Shawn Michaels,Steve Blackman, and the Blue Blazer. I really enjoy them. They have a certin charm that I just can't explain. It just makes me happy. I really like that Austin....a lot. However, the rest of them look downright goofy. That was just part of the BCA charm, I suppose.lol There are all my BCAs together, I wish I had more of them, especially the earlier ones, I think they kind of kept that cartoony charm of the Hasbro figuresBCA era will always hold a certain charm for me. I had every single one produced. Well, one of every different superstar made. Even had a cast resin Executioner prototype. There were some real gems that stand out to this day. And a lot of guys who will probably never see another figure made again. I remember wishing Jakks would have kept the original BCA line going long enough for Jericho, the Hardys, and the Dudleys to have seen a release. Those later era BCA figures would have been cooler if they were scaled better with the originals. Still that Hogan,A-Train,and,Angle were pretty damn good looking. One day I will fully rebuild that collection as it reminds me of a very fun time to be a collector. And the joy of walking into a store and being able to purchase pretty much whatever product was shipping at the time. A concept that's getting increasingly harder to do these days. I wasn't following wrestling any more when these first came out, so I didnt see them until Toyfare offered the mail-away SCSA. I remember thinking they were the goofiest looking figures I'd seen. Now, a dozen years later, I'm back into the WWE & collecting Jakks DA figures along with the new Mattel elites, so I'm cruising ebay more and more. Every day, it seems, I scroll past BCA listings and more often than not, I check 'em out and see what condition they're in. They're really starting to grow on me and I think they have a certain charm that makes them so appealing. I havent bought any yet, but it's only a matter of time till I do. Edit: Decided to take the plunge and try them out. Just won a lot of figs that includes Mankind, Owen Hart, Brian Pillman, British Bulldog, an Undertaker, X-Pac, and a Shawn Michaels among others. Many of those were on my short list of figures that I wanted to check out, so I'm excited that I managed to scoop them all up at once. All together, it was 14 or 15 figures for $24 (that includes shipping), and they appear to be in pretty good shape. Hopefully I'll have 'em by next week.

Amazon has been good to me lately. I picked up some TTL and RA figures that I've wanted for a while, but I also got this Road to WrestleMania Series Chris Jericho figure for a little over $7 shipped. It's from the newer 7" BCA style line and was released to stores in April 2002. I think this one may be my new favorite BCA Chris Jericho figure. Here's how I would rank them (from favorite to least favorite): 1. Road to WrestleMania Series (Released April 2002) 2. Bone Crunching Superstars Series (Released August 2001) 3. Snappin' Bashers Series (Released May 2002) 4. Grudge Brawlers Series (Rite Aid Exclusive, Released ? 2002) *5. Backlash Series 3 (KB Toys Exclusive, Released November 2003) *Unfortunately, I don't own this one. The Grudge Brawlers assortment is quite possibly the hardest of all the BCA figure series to locate. Hell, I've never even seen a good MOC pic of that Chris Jericho figure, let alone had the chance to bid on it.

Any good Sid figures?

Depends on your definition of good. Sid didn't have a particularly "good" head sculpt, but the rest of him was satisfactory for the time. Sycho Sid had four BCA figures in all. 1. Superstars Series 3 (Debut figure in blue gear) 2. Superstars Series 5 (Series 3 repaint in black gear) 3. Limited Edition Superstars Twin Pak with Series 3 British Bulldog (Series 3 re-release) 4. Special Edition Raw Is War 4-Pack Exclusive (Series 5 repaint with dark purple trunks).

Love that Jeircho, nice pick up Chicago, I'm hoping to add it to my collection one day. Also, I never knew about Sid in dark purple trunks, good to know.

The Undertaker and HHH were a tag team along with The Rock and Mr. McMahon, I just rotated them out to fued with Steve Austin, occasionally Mankind would show up and help Stone Cold. Taz was a force to be reckon with once I got the toybiz Goldberg, it was Taz Vs Austin Vs Goldberg winner take all. I think Austin ended up winning that series of matches. Once the TTL era started though it was HHH's reign of terror taking the championship away from Austin and basically keeping it.

With all of this talk about Jakks and WWE getting the band back together, I thought it would be a good opportunity to look back at a few examples of news that broke on that same day (September 15th) during the BCA era. This That Day in BCA History: September 15 19981999- PhantoMenace of The Sith says Signature Series 4 "Silver" looks like it will contain the following four figures: Stone Cold Steve Austin (with jersey), Billy Gunn (with Off The Mat head sculpt and vest), Kane, and Road Dogg (with Off The Mat head sculpt).
- ChampX of the Wrestling Figure Revolution Newsboard comments on the new Signature Series 5 images shown at Wrestlehost.com, and he says the only figure that he likes from the new set is Kane.
- T'Lo of the old HBREAKID Newsboard says he found two Titan Tron playsets at Target today and he bought one. He says this must mean that they are out everywhere because he lives in Florida and they hardly ever get anything new. He also found the BCA Road Rage Series in stores. He believes the Titan Tron playset is the best thing that Jakks has produced yet, but the only thing that upsets him is if the playset can support only the themes of the nine wrestlers pictured on it. He asks "What will happen when someone like Ken Shamrock comes out?"
- T'Lo says he heard a rumor from a friend, cwarock@webtv.net, who says that he ordered a Titan Tron playset from Sears and it was different from the one he has seen in stores. His friend also says that he got figures such as Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock with his playset. His friend says that the Sears Titan Tron has a screen and when you put a figure such as The Rock on it, it flashes a picture of the Brahma Bull or breaking glass for Stone Cold Steve Austin. Take this for what you will, as he personally does not believe his friend even though he has never lied to him. It just seems too good to be true.
- Finally, T'Lo says he has been experimenting with his Titan Tron playset, and he has gotten every theme to play except for X-Pac and Gangrel. When he uses just his finger, he gets Undertaker. When he uses his toe, he gets the WWF War Zone or The Rock’s theme. When he uses wet paper, tissues, Q-tips or spit he gets the others. He says the Titan Tron "is real good", weighs like five pounds, and is bigger than expected. He urges everyone to go and get it now. He says try using metal on it and you usually get some weird music.
Credit: Internet Archive.
For the record, the "Silver" assortment of Signature Series figures was Series 5, not Series 4. Also, Billy Gunn's head was not from the Off The Mat 4-pack, it was an entirely new sculpt. Al Snow and Big Boss Man comprised the other two slots for Signature Series 5. I don't know why they weren't pictured with the others; the complete lineups for Signature Series 5 and Series 6 had already been confirmed a week and a half earlier on AFR. I'm not sure what to make of the Sears Exclusive Titan Tron playset, but that's a topic for another thread.
