I have a question for the BCA experts, here: over the weekend I was on ebay looking for a BCA Stone Cold with a leg brace and I came across an auction for an Austin I hadn't seen before. It looked like a Superstar series 4 SCSA head on a Dan Severn body; is this a custom or a legit variant? @chicago will know more about this than I, but I believe it came in a BCA Austin 3-Pack, the one you're referring to came with a removable shirt!

So a while ago I saw that Ringside had this for sale.... so I had to buy it, even though they were asking like $50 for it. I didn't care. I never had it as a teenager and I always wanted it. Well, I have it now. It will forever stay MOC since I have no real reason to open it. Awesome pick up! I've always wanted that set but have never got one. I keep checking on ebay from time to time, but haven't ever put any bids on the ones I've seen. Yeah man, me too! I remember always seeing it in the old PWI magazines for sale, and that you could only get it if you ordered by mail. And I love that era of wrestling, and the BCAs have such a special spot in my heart for good times, that I didn't care what the price was of this one, I had to get it. I also just recently ordered the Bret/Owen 2 pack too off of Ringside. I will post that on here too when I get the set in.

I believe you are correct. I remember having that figure from the Tshirt box set.

The reason it looks so much like an Austin head on a Dan Severn body is because that's essentially what it was. It also happens to be my favorite BCA version of Austin in his ring gear, even though it isn't the most accurate out there. Here it is with a cloth Texas Rattlesnake shirt in the Toys"R"Us exclusive Bad to the Bonz 3-pack: It was released one other time in the KB Toys exclusive Special Edition Series 4 assortment, as seen in this high-quality MOC pic from Amazon.

Thanks for the info, guys! I had no idea that variation existed. It did look pretty sweet, I may have to see if I can find it again.

Can anyone tell me if those cheap price point Havoc (i think was one of the line names) figures they did for WWE and a wave of TNA, scale pretty well with BCA figures? If so, i been thinking about making a whole shelf of BCA and BCA-esque figures.

If so, i been thinking about making a whole shelf of BCA and BCA-esque figures. forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/46929/bcaDepends on whom you ask. I don't own any Havoc Unleashed figures so I couldn't say for sure, but I would think they fit in with a BCA figure display.
I was looking through some of my older issues of Lee's Toy Review and I spotted one of the first sightings of BCA prototypes in Issue #42 (April 1996). If you'll notice, Diesel's name is spelled incorrectly on the insert and his tagline seems slightly out of date. "The WWF's running on Deisel power!" was changed to "Big Daddy Cool is back!" Goldust's name tag was also changed at some point from Gold Dust to Goldust. killridemedley should get a kick out of the Razor Ramon prototype since it looks eerily similar to his hand-painted Razor sample. Everything about these images and the timing of their release suggest these were the exact figures shown by Jakks at Toy Fair 1996. As if it wasn't obvious enough already, Shawn's prototype looks more like his SummerSlam 1995 attire than the actual figure. The stripes on Undertaker's tie are bolder/thicker, too. In fact, all of the colors pop more, but I guess that should be expected considering they were carefully painted by hand.

I recently got the urge to start a BCA collection again and this thread isn't helping any. I currently have about 30 figures in my eBay watch list just haven't pulled the trigger yet. These were the figures of my childhood so they have always been really cool to me. Wish I still had them all but my dad recently donated them a few weeks back. Does any have a picture for scale purposes of BCA figures in the newer Mattel spring rings?

Just curious, why was Diesel and Goldust re-released in Series 3 but not Razor Ramon?? And was Diesel and Goldust hard to find?? In Canada, I remember seeing Series 3 (Actually, I remember seeing Series 2 as well, but never Series 1, I am not sure if it even came to Canada) but with the Series 3 set I saw, all I remember seeing was Bret, HBK, Ahmed, Bulldog, Sid and Mankind. Never Diesel or Goldust. For reasons unknown to me, Diesel and Goldust were added to the final shipments of Superstars Series 3 in May 1997. Most of the reports I've read on the Internet suggest these figures could be found at Toys"R"Us, Target, and KB Toys stores. No word on if any of these sightings took place in Canada. Edit: Add Ames to the list as well.I saw Diesel & Goldust at Sav-On Drugstores now known as CVS. They were going for $20/$30 on eBay back then. How much are they worth today?

Ever have one of those moments where you realize you've ed up? I just did, and wouldn't you know it had something to do with BCA figures? The story goes that I received my order of assorted MOC BCA figures from Amazon today, and one of the figures I bought was a Best of '98 Series 1 Skull. I got it so that I could have a second Skull figure to pair with this one I bought back in 2008. I've since opened that 2008 figure, and if I had better sense I would have left this new one MOC. I think you know where this is headed... It wasn't until after I took MOC pics of the figure and removed it from its original packaging that I realized I had an error figure on my hands. The second Best of '98 Series 1 Skull figure I hoped I was getting turned out to be a Best of '98 Series 1 8-Ball in a Skull package. Ugh, so yeah, I opened it without realizing it was 8-Ball and now I'm back to square one in terms of looking for a second Skull figure. I'll see if the seller I bought from has any others, but it's very unlikely I'll return it or ask for a refund since it really didn't cost me much at all. That's the one silver lining, for sure. I got this Skull 8-Ball and seven other MOC figures (five of which were from the Camo Carnage "Special Issue" series) all for $23.09 shipped, or $2.89 each. Here are MOC pics of the rest of my Amazon order: I would have bought Stone Cold to complete the "Special Issue" Camo Carnage set, but the seller told me he sold it to someone else two weeks ago. Oh well, at least the one I got (from the King of the Ring Breakdown In Your House series) comes with that sweet CD rack and floor lamp.

Today, Goldust should only run you about $10 MOC, but Diesel can still go for as much as $20. So a while ago I saw that Ringside had this for sale.... so I had to buy it, even though they were asking like $50 for it. I didn't care. I never had it as a teenager and I always wanted it. Well, I have it now. It will forever stay MOC since I have no real reason to open it. Color me jealous. I was holding out hope that Ringside would take pity upon me and send me all of their old BCA stock if no one bought it. $50-60 is very reasonable for a MOC set nowadays, and more power to you for deciding not to open it. It looks better MOC anyway.

I didn't care if it was that much, I always wanted these sets and I love BCAs, so to me they were worth that much. I remember I heard a saying once, and I always stick with it. "Something is only worth as much as you are willing to pay for it." So with me, BCAs are definitely worth it!

Id like a mattel razor in that gold attire too someday
