No, but the WCW Toy Biz Sid did and the new Elite Mattel one does.

Chicago I love that Commissioner Michaels. I remember having a hard time finding him and Boss Man from that series when I was a kid. As do I. It's kind of funny in a way that most of my favorite BCA figures, or those I would consider to be among the very best such as Luna, Paul Wight, and Commissioner Michaels to a much lesser extent, are the ones that do not in fact have the "bone crunching" capability at all. I think it's his best "BCA" figure, and it almost would have been his last ever had it not been for the arrival of the original Backlash series in the fall of 2000. HBK also finished with the fifth-most number of figure releases in the BCA line behind only Triple H, The Rock/Rocky Maivia, Undertaker, and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

But a question for you guys. Did you ever have trouble finding Shawn Michaels figures in stores? The Commisioner Michaels was my first ever figure of him but the other ones listed above I hade never seen on a store peg.
I remember getting the slammer one of ebay around 2002.

It might have had to do with the fact that she had the skirt accessory and just seemed like a completely original mold completely on top of the realistic hair. It makes me think of The Headbangers BCA figs as well. Those were my favorite for the longest time. I loved those early BCA 2-packs so much. We got so many tag teams like Headbangers, LOD, Godwinns, NOD, DOA and then the valet/women's packs like Triple H/Chyna, Goldust/Marlena and the Sable/Luna. Good times! Christmas 1999 I got Commissioner Michaels and it was one of my favourite figures.

I remember getting the slammer one of ebay around 2002. I didn't have trouble finding the HBK's with the molded chaps. In fact, I personally hated the fact that his chaps were molded on and got tired of seeing it in stores. I only had one version of that figure and it was the Livewire one that Chicago posted. They painted jeans over the chaps mold lol. My first figures ever were the first HBK, Bret Hart and Undertaker BCAs. I just always used that same ring gear HBK fig for matches and hated the chaps mold like I said. The Commissioner Michaels figure was a nightmare for me to find though. If I recall correctly, that Slammers 2 Michaels was one of the easiest ones to find out of that set. I couldn't find Kane and Dude Love for the longest time.

I remember getting the slammer one of ebay around 2002. Not initially with Superstars Series 1-3, but then you get to the latter half of 1998 and it's difficult to keep up with Jakks' pace. Like you, I cannot remember ever owning any of the K-Mart or Wal-Mart exclusive HBK figures released during that period of time. It's really kind of a shame, because the original HBK mold repainted in white and then later into his WMXIV red attire should be easier to come by. Especially the DTA Tour/Best of '98 figure. I love that thing and wish there were more available so I didn't have to anticipate paying $15+ for another one. All of the Slammers HBK figures were readily available, like screech said, but their constant presence and having to see the same figure repainted half-heartedly over and over again got old fast. When I was younger, I had the Shotgun Series 2 repaint, plus I may have also had the Slammers Series 2 figure since it was in practically everything. Now that I'm older, and much wiser lol, I would only bother with the Signature Series 2 figure in zebra stripe chaps and the Backlash Series 2 figure based on his Royal Rumble 1997 attire.

Chicago The paint apps on the chaps make the figure really nice on those two figures. I remember that Edge headsculpt being so bad but that series (7?) was amazing with a few first timers in the set. It took me awhile to find X-Pac, Val and Edge.

Pair it with Backlash Series 3 Edge and you've got a nice little BCA E&C tag team.

Commish was easy to find for me because we had a scalper connection at our local flea market with all the new stuff and he'd leave stuff on the side for me because I was a loyal customer. I remember the scalper to this day, he was an elderly man with a white beard, a bit santa-esque, he had all the WCW and ECW guys too. I also hated the molded chap figure but the scan was great. I don't know why they didn't put that chaps head on his regular figures with new attires. I'd like to see an HBK headswap if anyone's reading this, just out of curiosity. I'd like to see the commissioner head on a ring gear body too. It's too bad he got hurt so his newer figures were outdated and neglected. I owned just about every BCA original figure besides DOA, Big Show, Sultan, and the manager figures. By the time it was all over in late 1999, I had quite an impressive collection for an 11 yr old and I loathed TTL(at first).

Not sure why I chose the bigger torso. It may have had something to do with how the head looked on the other body, but not sure.

Thanks for noticing my request and posting that, you combined the best BCA Shawn head with the best BCA Shawn attire. That was a great head(by BCA standards) it captured his 1997 attitude look. Your figure looks like the birth of DX Shawn when he fought Mankind in a hardcore match on Raw Is War. Had I known the boiling water trick to swap heads when I was a kid, I would've done that too, now I wish I could take a time machine back to '98 and do that LOL!

I remember getting the slammer one of ebay around 2002. Where I live at in Canada there was no shortage of BCA HBK figures. I got Series 2 in the red/white for Christmas in 1996, the Series 3 in the blue/white a few months later when out shopping. The white/black one that came with Austin I seen at Walmart many times, and the WM 14 attire I bought around Christmas time 1998. The Slammers one in red with chaps came with the Monster ring or on its own in stores. And the commish HBK figure was out everywhere too. So it was pretty easy to snag and HBK figure if ya needed one for your figure collection.

Upon listing all of Shawn Michaels' BCA figure releases earlier in this thread, I got to thinking... Why was he not in this set?!? It's mind boggling to me. You've got an upcoming Target Exclusive 4-pack to fill for the holiday shopping season and the theme of the set is a Ladder match. I would have thought this to be a no-brainer, but apparently Shawn Michaels was placed on the back burner in 1997. He only had three BCA figure releases all year including: Superstars Series 3, Grudge Match 2-pack vs. Vader and Best of '97 Series 2. All had been previously released in 1996 and it wouldn't be until July 1998 that we saw a new HBK repaint in white for WrestleMania XIV Series 1. Had Scott Hall/Razor Ramon still been under contract in late '97, he too would have been deserving of a nod in favor of Ahmed Johnson or the freaking Referee.

I know you're joking, but one thing I have to give Jakks credit for is not ever skimping on the details for Ahmed's BCA figures. I probably wouldn't have voted for him in a million years to be a part of the King of the Iron Rungs set, but his other four BCA figures were deserved.

I wish the BCA era started in January 1995 instead of 1996. Imagine the figures we could have gotten.
Bam Bam Bigelow, Tatanka, Dean Douglas, Lex Luger, 123 Kid, Spark Plugg Holly, IRS, Million $ Man, Hakushi, just to name a few.

Of course, no one would turn down these figures if we had access to them, but there's one question that has to be asked. Would you give up the last year and a half of BCA figures as we know them to push the line back to January 1995? In this case, let's say everything that was produced after June 1998 is wiped from existence. No Superstars Series 6 through 9 No 2 Tuff 2-Packs Series 2 through 5 No Ringside Collection Series 2 No Signature Series 2 through 6 No Slammers Series 2 No S.T.O.M.P. Series 2 through 4 (Includes Camo Carnage) No WrestleMania XIV Series 1 No Live Wire Series 1 and 2 No DTA Tour Series 1 through 3 No Fully Loaded Series 1 and 2 No Shotgun Series 2 through 4 (Includes Deadly Games and Road Rage) No Sunday Night Heat Series 1 No Breakdown In Your House Series 1 No Raw Is War Series 1 No Grudge Match Series 2-Packs AT ALL No Attitude Ring with Steel Cage and Catapults Not to mention, you'd be passing up over 30 different boxed sets that were made between July 1998 and December 1999. Would you still do it?
