WWF Over the Edge: In Your House: Sunday 31st May 1998...Am liking how I now have competition in 1998. Rob Van Dam beating TAKA Michinoku was an interesting call, no WWF Light Heavyweight Championship on the line? I don't even know who the champion is. Intriguing for Andrew Martin to be here so soon, I actually liked Bradshaw's alliance with Michinoku in 98'. Would have taken away from the match though. If TAKA won via a fluke it would have elevated him lots and not hurt RVD so much, but probably best that Van Dam win here. The New Midnight Express beating the Rock 'n' Roll Express was pure filler, you either need to get the NWA World Tag Team Championships prestige, or abandon them like the entire NWA deal that occurred. Steve Blackman beating Jeff Jarrett is alright, decent match here but Blackman was never too entertaining, just a fun character to book. Jarrett's the guy with the main event written all over him, he should have won this match in my eyes. Faarooq is still in the Nation? That's a shame. Good WWF Intercontinental Championship defense by Ken Shamrock once again against the Nation. You need to stop Shamrock's feud with the faction honestly; feuded for five months going on six. Triple H beating Cactus Jack would have done plenty for the WWF European Champion, good to see you're building Hunter up to the upper midcard. The New Age outlaws beating LOD 2000 in a Street Fight is good, hope this is the end of the rivalry over the WWF Tag Team Championships. Five months again, is long enough. Lastly, I do love the idea of Stone Cold Steve Austin going against crazy odds like the fatal four-way to retain the WWF Championship. Kane and Undertaker's rivalry obviously continued well. Vader in there I'm unsure about, being accompanied by Vince McMahon is good though. Overall, you have a different take on 1998 which is good, and I'm looking forward to our 1998 diary feud.

Vader then snatches the microphone and says that it’s time for him to become WWF Champion, and at King of the Ring he will beat Austin to a bloody pulp! They are soon interrupted by the theme song of Stone Cold himself, who comes storming down to the ring. Austin wastes no time and saying that he didn’t do anything that wasn’t in the rulebook, as if he gives a damn what it says in there. Austin says Vader’s ass doesn’t deserve another shot at his title, but he says he has one can of whoop ass unopened left for him! Vince says that he does deserve another title shot, and tonight, Austin will have to pay for his actions! Austin responds by saying Vince should finally grow a set and try it himself. but Vince announces that Stone Cold will face Vader………and Kane in a handicap match tonight! Vince’s theme hits as the five of them leave the ring leaving Stone Cold in there, who stands there starring at them as they make their to the back. The King of the Ring starts next!

They start to brag about beating the legendary Legion of Doom once again! They say that maybe it’s time that they just hang it up, how many more time can they beat them? The bragging soon comes to a halt as Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter comes out! He says that it’s time for the Outlaws to defend their titles again at King of the Ring! He says that these two are also champions, and it’s about time we have one tag belt in the WWF! He then introduces The New Midnight Express! As they reach the ring with Dan Serven and Jim Cornette, the theme song of L.O.D. hits! The crowd goes crazy as they come out. Animal says that they have been beaten by the Outlaws multiple times, but it’s about time they’ve had a fair match! Gunn responds by saying that they’ve had three fair matches this year! They go to respond, but The NWA faction attack them! The Outlaws then join in, but all of a sudden out of all people, The Headbangers make the save! The crowd is slightly confused, and Slaughter gets on the microphone! He says that tonight maybe we should determine a official number one contenders, so The New Midnight Express will take on The Heabangers and The L.O.D. in a three way tag match!

Following the match, The Nation stand on top of the stage. Shamrock taunts for them to come down, and Henry accepts that offer! The two have a stare down, and Shamrock throws the first punch! He gets Henry into a corner, but the rest of The Nation hit the ring! They begin to beat on Shamrock and The Rock tells them to hold him up. Kama and Henry do so, and The Rock creams Shamrock with the title! The Nation stand over Shamrock as Raw is War fades to a black screen.
An ad hypes up the latest WWF T-Shirts!
Break
We see multiple graphics as JR gives us the rundown of what to still expect tonight, such as more King of the Ring Qualifiers, the triple threat tag match, Triple H versus Terry Funk in a street fight, and the handicap main event!
Cactus Jack def. Faarooq(w/The Nation) in a King of the Ring Qualifier The Nation’s good luck stopped at a dead end here, as Cactus Jack put Faarooq away with a double arm DDT! After the match the rest of The Nation leave ringside in disgust. Cactus Jack celebrates before we head backstage!
Bradshaw and Taka Michinoku are seen backstage and Bradshaw has cards with simple words on them such as “cat.” Bradshaw says if this team is going to work, then Taka needs to learn how to speak English. They go through many simple words as cat, dog, mouse, bread, and pizza. Taka can’t get any of them completely right, and Bradshaw gets frustrated and throws the cards on the floor. He stomps on them before walking off. As he storms off, Taka leans over to a staff member and says “He mad?”
Break

JR and King greet us as they recap everything that went down in the first hour!

He tells Paul that tonight Vader and Kane need to destroy Austin in the main event tonight. Paul questions why Kane should help Vader win the championship he has been trying to capture himself. Vince says because you don’t cross the boss before walking off! BreakWe return to the War Zone as the theme song of The New Age Outlaws hits over the arena! They join JR and King at the announcers table for this next bout! The New Midnight Express def. The Headbangers and The L.O.D. The New Midnight Express won following Bart pinning Hawk with a roll up after Bob took the Headbangers out of the ring and Dan held the leg of Animal! After the match the L.O.D. went for revenge, but NWA faction ran off. The New Age Outlaws poke fun of The L.O.D. and The Headbangers as they won’t be getting a title shot! Backstage, Jeff Jarrett and Tennessee Lee are auguring backstage. Lee seems to be furious that Jeff hit him with the guitar, but Jeff responds by saying he was at the wrong place at the wrong time, and he was going for Steve! Lee questions why he should believe that, and Jeff yells at him why not, and why would he turn his back on him? All of a sudden, Stone Cold turns Jeff around and socks him in the jaw! He goes for Lee, but Lee runs off! Austin then throws Jeff over a table, knocking over multiple items! He beats on Jeff until he decides it’s been enough. He talks into the camera that Old Stone Cold is going to raise more hell then ever until he gets Vinny Mac all by himself! And that’s the bottom line, cuz Stone Cold said so! BreakTriple H def. Terry Funk in a No DQ matchIn a violent match that saw Terry Funk bleed, Triple H was able to put Funk away with a pedigree onto a chair after a back and forth match. After the match Triple H decided he wanted to finish what he started, and he singled for Sean Waltman and Chyna to come out. The two came out and DX began to beat down on Funk, but then Cactus Jack ran out with a barbwire baseball bat! DX suddenly stopped in the ring, but then The New Age Outlaws ran out and attacked Cactus from behind! Sean Waltman then met him on the ramp, but Hart ducked a superkick and threw him into the guardrail! Triple H hopped out of the ring while Hart brawled with The Outlaws. The Outlaws gained the upper hand, but Cactus got back up and threw Road Dogg out of the ring! Chyna then went to attack Cactus, but he grabbed her arm in mid air! She went to kick him, but He moved out of the way and tossed her out of the ring! She landed on her feet, furious! Gunn then backed out, being out numbered! Owen Hart, Terry Funk, and Cactus Jack have outsmarted DX! Cactus grabs the bat again to ensure DX stays out of the ring. Raw then heads to a break before we see Stone Cold walking backstage ready for the main event, next! BreakAn ad hypes up King of the Ring, live on pay per view, June twenty-eighth! Stone Cold Steve Austin def. Vader and Kane(w/Vince McMahon and Paul Bearer)While Austin was able to take Kane out with a stunner for a moment, He was going to hit one on Vader, but Vader pushed him off and Vince and Paul both grabbed onto Austin’s feet! Vader then attacked Austin from behind and stomped on Austin while Paul and Vince tied him up! Kane then got up and started to choke Austin with his boot, but then The Undertaker came out! Taker then socked Mr. McMahon right in the jaw with a punch, and he went down! Taker chased Paul around the ring before Kane grabbed him. Taker then fought back and grabbed a chair before going in the ring! Kane grabbed it and went to hit Taker, but he moved and Kane hit Vader instead! Taker then brawled with Kane to the outside! Meanwhile, in the ring, Vader was staggering and Austin hit a Stunner for the three! Taker and Kane brawled to the back while Austin celebrated with is championship in the ring! Vince then woke up on the outside, in total disbelief! Vince McMahon’s plans once again to take out Austin failed, and this time it was thanks to The Undertaker! How will he respond? Find out next week!

Tuesday, June 2nd 1998
-I've been hearing reports that backstage they felt Raw was a lackluster show. Where only the two main events and Owen Hart's return really sparked some interest. The tag team title situation seems to very confusing as of right now. No one has any idea why The Headbangers ran out to help the L.O.D., or they are dragging out the L.O.D. and NAO feud. I've heard something that this is really just setting up for future feuds between the teams. Also, it seems that the WWF has dropped the NWA tag team titles. They had planned to do this at Unforgiven, but after Rick's injury, it had to be pushed back, also, the New Midnight Express is now done with the company. Speaking of dragged on feuds, apparently this Shamrock/Rock feud isn't really going to happen. Reports are that it's only going to be a mini feud for the next few weeks in the KOTR tournament, as both The Nation and Shamrock will be going on to different things following the tournament. Speaking of The Rock and returns, WWF had just learned on Saturday Owen Hart was ready to compete and instead of having Hart return on the same night of The Rock, which was planned before this news, they decided to have Hart return on Raw. Rumors are that Owen Hart will finally be down with DX in the Summer. Finally, expect the Vader/Austin and Kane/Taker feuds to end soon.

Going to try and get into this as I have with Dan's.
RAW is WAR, King of the Ring starting tonight, seems I picked a good time to start. Love this pairing of Vince McMahon and Vader. The Handicap Main Event should be good, but somehow I see Austin pulling off a shocker. The Rock defeating Bradshaw is definitely the better decision, and I am liking the tension between Farooq and The Rock in terms of who is the rightful leader of The Nation. SLightly messy segment with all the Tag Teams, but I hope The Legion of Doom pick up the victory. Pretty obvious victory for Ken Shamrock. I hope that he encounters The Rock at a later stage in the Tournament. Pleased to see that Cactus Jack will advance in the King of the Ring Tournament. While it was inevitable after a while, I don't like the comedic use of TAKA Michinoku. I believe he is extreme valuable as a genuine competitor. Another obvious victory here, and I am glad Kurt Angle will advance. Very shocked to see The New Midnight Express become the #1 Contenders, and I'm not sure if I like it or not. Stone Cold unloading on Jeff Jarrett and Tennessee Lee was interesting. Triple H over Terry Funk was the right way to go, but a very messy finish with the brawl afterwards and the return of Owen Hart. As expected, Stone Cold overcomes the odds, and with the help of The Undertaker, it makes it more believable. Overall, I liked the show with a few messy segments.

WWF @ Chicago, IL - Rosemont Horizon - June 6, 1998 The opening video of Saturday Night Heat plays before we see the pyro blast off! We are then greeted by JR and King who state tonight will be strictly for the King of the Ring!
Steve Blackman def. Rob Van Dam(w/Andrew Martin) in a King of the Ring Qualifier Blackman beat Van Dam with the Lethal Kick while he was distracted by Taka Michinoku who took Martin out with an enzuigiri from the steel steps! Following the match Van Dam seemed extremely pissed off, as he just suffered his seconded loss at the hands of Steve Blackman!
Break
Agulia def. Marc Mero in a King of the Ring Qualifier Marc Mero tried to bully Agulia around in this match, but Agulia got Mero with a quick small package at the end for the three! Marc Mero seems to be going downhill now! A video recaps what happened on Raw is War with the Austin, Vince
McMahon, Vader, Kane, and The Undertaker situation!
Triple H(w/Chyna) def. Scorpio in a King of the Ring Qualifier Not long of a match, as Triple H would have a match for Raw later on in the night. Scorpio got his shots in, but Triple H would win with the pedigree!
Break
An ad hypes up King of the Ring, live on pay per view, June twenty-eight!
Jeff Jarrett def. TAKA Michinoku(w/Bradshaw) in a King of the Ring Qualifier No Tennessee Lee with Jeff here tonight, as they still seem to have some heat between each other from Raw is War. At the end, Van Dam and Andrew Martin returned the favor by attacking Bradshaw, distracting Taka long enough for Jeff to hit him with a chop block and lock in the figure-four making him tap out! Double J celebrated in the ring as Van Dam and Martin seemed satisfied on the outside while Heat closes out.
OOC: If you reply, please reply to Raw is War instead.

WWF @ Rockford, IL - Metro Centre - June 8, 1998
Before Raw is War goes on the air, we see a video highlighting last week’s main event with Steve Austin overcoming Vader and Kane with The Undertaker’s help! The Raw is War opening then plays. JR and Cole greet us to kick off the show, and they say The Undertaker speaks tonight and The King of the Ring continues tonight with Cactus Jack versus Triple H and the first bout of the night, Ken Shamrock versus Jeff Jarrett!
Ken Shamrock def. Jeff Jarrett in a King of the Ring First Round Match Tennessee Lee was absent once again and Shamrock was able to overcome Jeff in a back and forth match forcing him to tap with the Ankle Lock.
Following the match The Nation made their way out to the stage, but Shamrock went to the outside and grabbed a chair before getting back in the ring! He dared them to try and come in the ring, and D-Lo and Kama went down first, but The Rock got on the microphone. He said tonight The Nation would spare him from a beating, but Rock tells him he hopes Shamrock has no plans on winning King of the Ring or keeping the Intercontinental title as long as The Rock is around. The Nation then leave as Shamrock still asks for them to come down.
Break
We come back from the break and the theme of The Undertaker hits and the crowd cheers. The Undertaker makes his way to the ring at a steady pace and upon arriving in the ring, he begins to speak. He says that he deserves a championship match versus Stone Cold Steve Austin at King of the Ring, but that is not what he is out here for. He says he is out here to give a message to Paul Bearer and his brother, Kane. Taker says that the family feud isn’t over, and it’s time that the dust is settled and that he is prepared to take this to where it started. And that is Hell.........in a Cell! The crowd pops, but then, the theme song of Vince McMahon hits! He stands on top of the stage and as of result of undertaker’s actions last week; he will not make the match official! Vince then pauses before saying he would, only if Kane accepts the match, and if The Brothers of Destruction can defeat Stone Cold and his partner Vader tonight! The crowd is in shock as Vince as a giant grin on his face and Undertaker seems to not to know what to think of this! What a night this will be!
Break
We come back from a break to see a video showing Owen Hart’s return to the WWF last week.
Owen Hart def. Sean Waltman(w/Chyna) In a fantastic match Owen Hart was able to put Sean away with the sharpshooter.
After the match Triple H ran down and proceeded to smack Hart with the European title! DX stood tall over Hart before the screen faded to black.
Backstage Taka Michinoku and Bradshaw are backstage. Bradshaw is once again trying to teach Taka English, but Taka can’t get it right. Before Bradshaw can storm off again, Sgt. Slaughter walks up to the odd couple. He says that Taka needs to start defending his championship more, and next week, that will happen in a special fatal four way match! Taka will defend it versus Scorpio and Too Much! Slaughter walks away before we head to a break.
Break
As we come back the theme song of The New Age Outlaws hits. They say that at King of the Ring they will finally have new challengers. Young fresh challengers that can walk down the ramp without blowing out their knees. They go on to say that it’s too bad that they have to ride on the asses of former NWA stars just to get noticed around here, and at King of the Ring they will destroy The New Midnight Express! Then, Sgt. Slaughter makes his way out to the ring! He states that he is pretty tired of DX and the Outlaws, and now he is going to do something about it. He says that tonight The New Age Outlaws will have to team up with The New Midnight Express to face The Headbangers and The Legion of Doom! And if The Legion of Doom and The Headbangers win, they will be added to the title match at King of the Ring!
Break
JR and Cole welcome us back as the theme song of Rob Van Dam and Andrew Martin hit!
Rob Van Dam(w/Andrew Martin) def. TAKA Michinoku(w/Bradshaw) In a rematch from Over the Edge, Van Dam was able to once again secure the victory with a Five Star Frog Splash.
Following the match Van Dam and Martin go to attack TAKA, but Bradshaw runs in for the save! He hits double clothesline and throws Van Dam out of the ring! He then powerbombs Martin before TAKA hits him with a moonsault! Van Dam looks on from the outside as TAKA and Bradshaw stand tall in the ring!
A video hypes up the latest WWF t-shirts!
The War Zone
We come back as JR and King recap what happened during Raw is War, and we see graphics hyping up Cactus Jack versus Triple H and The Brothers of Destruction versus Stone Cold Steve Austin and Vader!
The L.O.D. and The Headbangers def. The New Age Outlaws and The New Midnight Express(w/Jim Cornette and Chyna) The Legion of Doom put Bob away with the Doomsday Deceive to be added to the tag titles match!
Backstage, Steve Austin is unleashing hell on Sniper and Recon! He then walks over to Goldust and socks him with a punch to jaw before throwing him into a wall! He then flips over a table before Raw goes to a break! Break
We see a replay of Stone Cold raising hell backstage!
The brackets for the King of the Ring are then shown, and Triple H versus Cactus Jack is next!
Cactus Jack def. Triple H(w/Chyna) in a King of the Ring First Round Match Owen Hart got revenge from earlier tonight as he hit Triple H with a chair while the referee was distracted by Chyna! Cactus then covered Hunter as the ref made the three!
Backstage, Kevin Kelly is standing with Kurt Angle. He asks Angle about the King of the Ring, but Kurt snatches the microphone from him. He says that he is an American hero and some punk kid like Aguila has no chance of beating him next week! He says after snatching his skinny ass in half he will go to win the tournament in full! Oh it’s real, it’s damn real!
Break
The Brothers of Destruction(w/Paul Bearer) versus Vader and Stone Cold Steve Ausin went to a no contest Vader refused to work with Austin all match and Kane dig most of the damage on Austin. At the end of the match Kane was going for a chokeslam, and Vader grabbed a chair, and hit Austin in the face with it!
Suddenly, Undertaker came in and gave Vader a big boot! Taker then threw a punch at Kane and the two started brawling! The ref called for the bell as Paul hit Taker with the urn and then Kane gave Undertaker a chokeslam! Paul Bearer then got on the microphone and told Undertaker that Kane accepts his match for King of the Ring! Meanwhile, Vince McMahon stood on top of smiling as his two biggest enemies have been destroyed! The WAR ZONE then goes off the air!

Tuesday, June 9th 1998
-WWF felt that Raw is War was a lot better than last week's edition. There was some great in ring action on Raw such as Shamrock/Jarrett, TAKA/Van Dam, and Hart/Waltman. The tag matches were enjoyable, and Cactus versus Hunter also was well received by critics. Also, The Undertaker versus Kane inside Hell in a Cell will happen, so King of the Ring has three huge match booked. Some feel that it's a little gimmick heavy, but with one being in a cage and the rest not, it should work it well. Many people were relived last night when The Legion of Doom and The Headbangers were placed in the Tag Title match, so it should be interesting without a doubt. This week was really focused on wrestling, something that doesn't happen often, so I expect the next weeks to be heavy on the entertainment side.
-Raw is War has been doing well in the ratings, getting a 4.8 up versus Nitro's 5.4

WWF Sunday Night HeAT: Sunday 6th June 1998...Steve Blackman beating Rob Van Dam...not the best decision but a good opening contest. Blackman I hope remains relevant, but it's bad to see him lose this tournament match. Aguila beating Marc Mero; bad idea. I know Mero was playing the cowardly heel but, this hurt him a bit. Especially since Aguila isn't as good as someone per say, TAKA Michinoku or Brian Christopher. Triple H beating Scorpio was an interesting match, better to see Hunter with the win though. Lastly, weak main event win for Jeff Jarrett against TAKA Michinoku. Would have been a competitive match but, it was weak. Nonetheless, it seemed like a noteworthy episode.

-Excuse me if my reply sounds pretty dumb, I have to get used to this stuff. -Ken Shamrock over Jeff Jarrett could've gone either way and would've been great either way. -A great way to make a main event for tonight, and I'm looking forward to that. -Owen Hart going over here is the best way to go, as he's the better star. -Another victory for Van Dam...interesting. His push is going pretty well. -The L.O.D or NAO would be good. A solid tag team match here. -Good revenge for Owen, liking the possible feud for HHH/Hart. -An amazing match to end the show, and some good feuds going on too. Like the card for KOTR so far. -Good show.

- Glad Shamrock won. Hopefully he has a main event push ahead of him. I can see him versus one of the Nation in the KOTR Semi's.
- Liked the Taker/Vince promo. Nice job at getting Vince over as a heel. I can see the Brothers winning tonight, though.
- Happy Owen won. He better get the WWF Title at least once.
- Taka/Bradshaw segment was alright. Kind of an odd pairing, but I guess that's their thing so it's fine.
- I picture Outlaws & Express losing. A lot of rivals pairing up with each other tonight.
- RVD winning is good. I can see RVD or Martin costing Taka his title next week.
- I was right! Should be a good 4-way tag at KOTR. I would love to see Express win it.
- LOL at Goldust being PWNED!
- Not happy Cactus won but if it means Triple H versus Owen Hart, I'm all for it.
- Chaotic ending there. Really did a nice job of setting up both feuds.

Glad to see this back, forgive me for not replying sooner, but I'll comment on the latest edition of Raw.
- Your diary is definitely different with the guys you brought it, so forgive me if I make some mistakes since its been awhile. No Tennessee Lee is strange...but I dig Shamrock taking the victory here. Rock/Shamrock needs to end stat. I find this feud boring in every diary...even my own. Nightmare main event for all involved and Vince's stipulation seems a bit silly. Ah well, should make for some fun TV. Owen over Waltman is predictable, but I do like Triple H attacking Owen to further their feud. Interesting moment that seemed a bit awkward with Slaughter/Bradshaw/TAKA. Damn, Slaughter is busy tonight, but I like this announcement better. Hopefully the face teams win so its a bigger match at KOTR. RVD/Test are a strange pair that works...RVD should really get a title shot for two wins over TAKA. YES! Glad you added the other two teams in...definitely will be a fun match. Austin unleashing hell? What else is new? WOW...Jack over Triple H is incredible, but it will allow Owen/Triple H to feud. Kurt Angle seems intense and I don't know if I like him in this era. No contest is what I expected. Predictable ending to Raw, but it served its purpose. Nice edition my friend. I'll be sure to reply more often now I'm up to speed.

WWF @ San Antonio, TX - Freeman Coliseum - June 15, 1998 As Raw is War comes on the air we see Vince McMahon standing by with Vader. He says that Austin’s reign of chaos ends here! He says that tonight Stone Cold will be in a handicap match against Triple H and Sean Waltman! The crowd boos, but Vince carries on. He says that to make it fair, Vader will also be in a handicap match tonight! The Raw is War opening plays before we are greeted by JR and Cole. They recap Vince McMahon’s announcement and they also say DX is going to “apologize’ tonight!
The theme song of Kane and Paul Bearer hits to some good heat. They make their way out to the ring as Paul snatches a microphone while Kane enters the ring and sets off his pyro. The eerie red lights stay on as Paul begins to speak. He says that two weeks from now the final chapter in the novel of Undertaker versus Kane will be written at King of the Ring. Paul says that he assures the people that it will not be a happy ending and he laughs. He says that inside Hell in a Cell Kane will finish what he started in Hell in a Cell last year. He says that he will permanently destroy The Undertaker! Then, the lights dim and Undertaker’s theme song hits! The crowd goes crazy as he slowly makes his way down to the ring. He lets Paul know that Paul is only talking himself and Kane into their eternal damnation! Undertaker says that he promises this will end at King of the Ring, but before it does, he is making sure that Paul comes along to hell. Paul then tells Undertaker that he better not drag him into the match. Undertaker tells Paul that he has a much to do with this as Kane and himself do, and Paul will not get off the hook at King of the Ring. Taker then remarks that at King of the Ring, Kane and Paul Bearer will REST IN PEACE! Undertaker drops the microphone, but Kane hits him with a big boot! Taker staggers, but he doesn’t fall and the two get into a brawl! They end up spilling outside of the ring and then up the ramp! Taker gets the upper hand and grabs Kane by the throat at the end of the stage! Soon, Paul is up there two and hits Undertaker in the back with a chair, but it doesn’t even fade him! Paul drops it as Taker turns his attention to him. Then, Kane picks up the chair and hits Taker in the back with it! Taker the turns around and Kane hits him in the face! Taker goes down as we can hear Paul say “At King of the Ring, you will suffer the same pain your brother suffered all those years ago!”
Break
We come back to see a replay what just happened before the break. Vader then comes out with Vince McMahon before the camera shows Sniper and Recon in the ring, ready for some handicap action.
Vader(w/Vince McMahon) def. Sniper and Recon Vader pinned Sniper after hitting a Vader Bomb on Sniper and Recon at the same time.
Backstage Kevin Kelly is with the Nation of Domination. He begins by asking The Rock his thought on his upcoming match against Steve Blackman tonight. Rock says he’ll whoop Steve’s butt tonight and then at King of the Ring The Rock will defeat Ken Shamrock before going on to win the Finals of the tournament. Kevin goes to ask another question, but Rock tells him to shut his mouth. Rock then turns his attention to Faarooq. He says that Faarooq has only been leading The Nation to failure the past two months, and he better start picking things up, or else. They stare down before we go to break.
Break
The New Midnight Express(w/Jim Cornette) def. The Headbangers Bob pinned Mosh after Cornette hit him with a microphone while Bart distracted the ref.
After the match The team continued to beat on The Headbangers when The New Age Outlaws came out. They joined in on the beat down, but they quickly soon hit The New Midnight Express with their title belts! They celebrated in the ring when the theme song of the L.O.D. hit! They rushed out to the ring and the two teams started brawling before L.O.D. was able to get them out of the ring. The Outlaws backed out while L.O.D. taunted them from the ring.
An advertisement showcases the latest WWF T-Shirts.
Break
We come back to see Jeff Jarrett and Tennessee Lee auguring backstage. Jeff asks where has Lee been as of late and Lee says he has found new clients now! Jeff said how could he possibly replace Double J. Lee says that Jeff hadn’t even treated him like a human being for the past couple of months. Jeff responds by saying that Lee’s stupidity cost him his match at Over the Edge! Lee seems furious and shakes his head before walking off.
JR and King recap the King of the Ring so far, stating that at the pay per view Ken Shamrock will face The Rock or Steve Blackman and Cactus Jack will face the winner of our next match!
Kurt Angle def. Agulia in a King of the Ring First Round Match Angle put Aguila away with an Angle Slam after a few minutes of a fun match.
After the match Angle got on the microphone and said that at King of the Ring he would destroy Cactus Jack, Ken Shamrock, and The Rock before being crowned King of the Ring. Oh it’s true, it’s damn true.
Break
We come back to Raw is War to the theme song of D-Generation-X. They make their way out while The New Age Outlaws carry out a banner that says “We’re Sorry!” As they get into the ring Triple H gets on the microphone. He says that tonight they are here for mainly one reason; and that is to say that they are sorry. Triple H says that he is sorry Owen Hart is a loser with no skill that can’t beat him. He then goes on to say he is sorry Cactus Jack is a fat idiot who also can’t beat him. Sean then starts to talk and he says that he is sorry Terry Funk is washed up and too old to win a match. The Outlaws then get on two microphones and say they are sorry The New Midnight Express has to be with Jim Cornette, that they’re sorry The Legion of Doom can’t walk to the ring anymore, and that they are sorry for themselves when they wrestle The Headbangers because skirts do not hide everything. DX acts sincere but the crowd showers them with heat. Then, the theme song of Owen Hart hits! The crowd cheers as Owen Hart makes his way down to the ring. He gets in Hunter’s face and tells Hunter that enough is enough. Owen says that it’s enough with the jokes and it’s enough with the post match, pre match, and backstage beat downs. Owen said that it’s enough of Sean Waltman, The New Age Outlaws, and Chyna. It’s time for Owen Hart versus Triple H. Hunter then fires back saying he’s beaten Owen too many times to count, and he doesn’t deserve another match. Owen responds by saying he never beat him, it was DX who beat him. Triple H then smirks and shakes his head and says that Owen better scram or else. Owen says that he isn’t going anywhere until it’s Owen Hart versus Triple H. The two have a stare down when Waltman stands behind Hart. Soon, Cactus Jack and Terry Funk run out to the ring to try and even it up when Commissioner Slaughter comes out! He says that there will be no beat down tonight, but at King of the Ring Triple H will face Owen Hart one on one! The crowd cheers and Slaughter adds that there will be absolute no outside interference or Triple H’s title will be stripped! The crowd cheers as Hunter does not look happy at all!
THE WAR ZONE
The War Zone opening plays as we come back live and JR and King recap what happened in the first hour. The theme of The Nation then hits.
The Rock(w/The Nation) def. Steve Blackman in a King of the Ring First Round Match The Rock was able to put Blackman away with a Rock Bottom.
Following the match The Nation was going to make an example out of Steve Blackman when Ken Shamrock hits the ring. Faarooq remains outside while Blackman tossed out D-Lo and Shamrock throws out Kama. Henry knocks Steve out, but Shamrock hits him with a belly to belly! Rock tries to escape, but Ken gets him and puts him in the Ankle Lock! Rock taps out in pain as Faarooq stands on the outside, laughing? Staff pulls Shamrock off of Rock as we head to break.
Break
We come back from a break to see Too Much making their entrances. JR recaps how Sgt. Slaughter booked the fatal four match for the Lightweight Championship tonight.
TAKA Michinoku(w/Bradshaw) def. Scorpio, Brian Christopher and Scott Taylor to RETAIN the Lightweight Championship TAKA put Taylor away with a Michinoku Driver to get the victory! As TAKA celebrates his victory we can hear clapping coming from the top of the ramp.
The camera then pans over to see Rob Van Dam. Who is also holding a microphone, clapping alongside Andrew Martin who is simply just standing beside him. Van Dam tells TAKA tell enjoy his victory, but it is going to be short lived. As he has already beaten that piece of crap twice, and still hasn't gotten a title shot. Van Dam tells TAKA that soon that is all going to change, as he talked to Sgt. Slaughter earlier today about your lack of title defenses. So, as always, Mr. Monday Night has came about with a brilliant idea! At King of the Ring, it will be Rob Van Dam versus TAKA Michinoku for the Lightweight Championship! And now, it's time that Martin and himself show why you two pieces of crap shouldn't be on my show, and why you're looking at the next Lightweight Champion! Martin and Van Dam then charge down the ramp, but TAKA suddenly leaps over the top rope crashing onto them! Bradshaw slides out of the ring and starts to brawl with Martin while Van Dam and TAKA go at it! Security quickly comes out to tear the two teams apart!
Steve Austin is seen walking backstage with WWF Championship in tow, the main event is up next on the WAR ZONE!
Break
Before the main event Vince McMahon and Vader came out to a ton of heat. Vince wasted no time in saying that he is going to treat his fans tonight, by saying the main event tonight will be No Disqualification! Vince then joins JR and King as Vader stands beside them looking pleased.
Triple H and Sean Waltman(w/DX) def. Stone Cold Steve Austin Throughout the match The Outlaws and Chyna would constantly interfere when Austin started fighting back. Towards the end of the match The Legion of Doom and The Headbangers had enough as they came out and they started to fight off The Outlaws! Soon, the NWA Faction came out, it turned into a nine man brawl! Soon, Austin then hit a huge Stunner on Sean, and turned around to hit one on Hunter! The crowd went crazy as Chyna stepped in distracting Austin, when Vader hit him from behind with the WWF title! Hunter then crawled over and draped the arm on Austin for the three!
Chyna gets DX out of the ring while Vince shouts “GET HIM VADER!” Vader smirks as he puts the boots into Austin’s stomach. Vader then tossed Austin out of the ring and threw him into the steeps, but Austin was able to stop himself! Austin then hit the Lou Thez press on Vader! The crowd went crazy as Austin got a chair and hit Vader square in the head with it! He then grabbed the title and asked “Do you want some more you stupid fat piece of crap?” Vader then got up and Austin went to hit him, but Vader nailed him with a low blow! Vader then becomes violent, and smashes Austin’s head against the steel steps multiple times before busting him open! Vader then ripped off some of the guardrail and dropped it right on Austin! Vader the ripped off the protective mat and sent up for a pile driver! Staff then had to stop it knowing Austin’s neck problems. Austin seems to stagger, but he insisted on going after Vader, but the staff held him back as Raw went off the air!

-Word is that Raw is War went over well in the back. They felt their was high points in the ring with the Lightweight Championship match and the Main Event was worth the watch. It was more of an enjoyable show with the exciting segments between Kane/Taker, the Van Dam and Martin versus Bradshaw and TAKA brawl, and the chaotic main event. The horrifying ending with Vader trying to paralyze Austin also made for good, yet nerve wrecking TV. There were more segments to enjoy this week and four great matches have been added to the card. The card is rumored to be fully complete.
-There is a battle right now to see if Vader/Austin or Taker/Kane will main event. Some feel the WWF Title match should as it is the championship match up, but the others feel that it won't be able to live up the Hell in the Cell match.
-Raw's rating stayed at a level 4.9 this week, which is a huge number again with their battle with Nitro, which stayed at a 5.4. Rumors are all of the new faces, and the new storyline starting as the current crop of feuds seem to fading out seem to help the ratings along with the always entertaining Austin/Vader/Vince and Taker/Kane/Bearer programs.

WWF RAW is WAR: Monday 8th June 1998...Hot opening contest with Ken Shamrock advancing into the King of the Ring quarter-final round, but I'd have rather seen Jeff Jarrett make it to the next round than both Kurt Angle and Aguila. Bad idea letting them through and Jarrett easily eliminated. Don't understand why Tennessee Lee is absent. The situation with the Nation and Shamrock HAS to end at King of the Ring, it's been a rivalry gone about eight, maybe nine months. The Undertaker cutting a promo and setting up a Hell in a Cell match with Kane...it will not be anything similar to Mankind's match with 'Taker. I don't expect any big off-the-cell spots to take place in a few weeks. Like Mr McMahon making Kane and Undertaker team to face Steve Austin and Vader tonight though. Puts a big pay-per-view match in jeopardy for the sake of getting the job done for the boss. Owen Hart beating Sean Waltman is fine, solid match, but I dislike Waltman going by his real name. In 1998, it was almost 100% unlikely for a wrestler in the WWF to go under his real name. Another heel run in on a face though...again too. Triple H and Owen Hart's rivalry HAS to end. It's been seven, eight months. You're still living in January 1998, characters have got to evolve. The New Age Outlaws' promo was nice, but their match should have immediately followed. Why does Road Dogg and Billy Gunn have the authority to make matches all of a sudden? But yeah, there was no point in them coming out now. Nice win for Rob Van Dam against TAKA Michinoku. The eight-man tag team match certainly would have made a better first-hour main event. That main event to RAW was poor, RVD/TAKA. Hot opening contest with LOD 2000 and the Headbangers beating the Outlaws and the New Midnight Express. That's cool but LOD 2000 are getting their 300th title opportunity against the Outlaws. They lost the titles to the Outlaws and started feuding them in November 1997. Also the Headbangers is the only team in this match not in the title bout at King of the Ring. Surely they must feel left out. Cactus Jack and Triple H should have either main evented RAW or opened the War Zone. Not gone on before the main event. Solid match, Owen getting retribution was cool. And lastly, no contest finish to the tag team match is typical Attitude Era. A solid show, just a lot of questionable booking.
WWF RAW is WAR: Monday 15th June 1998...Gay that Sunday Night HeAT wasn't written, hurts the professionalism on the diary. Alright, rival, let's go. Kane in the ring to kick off the show was good, liked the continuation with The Undertaker, looking rather forward to the Hell in a Cell match at King of the Ring, even though there will not be any serious spots similar to Undertaker and Mankind. A bit too much brutality shown to kick off RAW, but I like the sneak peek appeal of what to expect in two weeks. Weak opening contest win for Vader against theTruth Commission members. All men are heel, and if you want to make Vader look genuinely credible, squashing a random team from Shotgun Saturday Night achieves nothing. The New Midnight Express with the win against the Headbangers was obvious. Really this three-way feud is the New Age Outlaws being scared of the two teams opposing them at King of the Ring...and more rivalry building with LOD 2000. You need to evolve from LOD vs Outlaws. Kurt Angle was obviously going to beat Aguila. I really hope he doesn't win the tournament though. Solid D-Generation X promo, but additional WWF Tag Team Championship build made no sense. The Outlaws were just here, don't understand why they have to come out again ten minutes later. Just generic build with the rivals of DX. Would have been better if you had cut the Outlaws from this promo. The Rock beating Steve Blackman was likely. Faarooq in a credile role still is likeable. TAKA Michinoku retaining the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship was nice, but pretty sure that was the ENTIRE light heavyweight division of 1997/1998 you just had TAKA beat in one match. Not too fond of the Rob Van Dam, Andrew Martin and TAKA Michinoku, Bradshaw situation continuing. In my mind their business ended last week, or even at Over the Edge. Lastly, acceptable handicap main event to the show, another non-win for Stone Cold Steve Austin hurts Austin though. You need to give Austin more coverage on the show may I add. You're shoving Vader down our throats but, it's still very likely that Austin will retain at King of the Ring. And then where will Vader go? I do love the idea of Austin in danger of being paralyzed but, it'd be believable if Vader was still pushed like he was in 1996. He just doesn't cut it here. A solid show though, you just need better logic.

Decent opening segment between Kane/Taker. Seemed pretty basic as nothing all that new seemed to be brought up. I’m not really sure it should have opened up the show, to be honest. I would be really interested to see Rock/Faarooq battle at SummerSlam and see a big babyface push for Faarooq. The first three matches of the show were pretty bland, in my opinion. While I like that Angle has been brought in early, I also feel like it’s a little too soon. I think having vignettes being aired in late 1998, leading to a debut at the Rumble in 1999 would have been much better. But, 1998 has a weak undercard so I can understand the rush, I guess. Jeff Jarrett babyface push? Jarrett is someone people love to boo. One thing really bugs me with the promos, and is something I use to do a lot. Constant use of saying “then” while describing what someone said. Like, “Owen then said” or “Hunter then said”. Just say “Owen said”. It is just so much easier to read. Pretty good segment between DX and Owen, though. Taka/RVD should be a fabulous match. I liked the ending of RAW with Vader being made out to be a force to be reckoned with. I doubt he will win the strap, but I am interested to see that match for sure. Decent show.

WWF @ San Antonio, TX - Freeman Coliseum - June 20, 1998
The opening video of Saturday Night Heat plays before we see the pyro blast off! We are then greeted by JR and King who state tonight we will see Owen Hart take on D-Lo Brown in the main event!
The New Age Outlaws def. Skull and 8-Ball A fun match to kick off Heat which saw Gunn put 8-Ball away with the Gunnslinger.
Break
Backstage Kevin Kelly is standing by with King of the Ring Semi-Finalist Cactus Jack. Kelly asks Jack what are his thoughts going into the King of the Ring pay per view a week from now. Cactus says perhaps it's finally time. Perhaps it's finally the time Cactus Jack gets the job done! He says for a while now Cactus Jack has been so close to reaching the top of the mountain, but he never has been able to do it. He even entered the damn Royal Rumble three times and he couldn't win! Well, that all is going to change very soon! It doesn't matter if you Kurt Angle, Ken Shamrock, The Rock, or even Marc Mero, Cactus Jack will reach the top of the World Wrestling Federation, and he's not afraid to get extreme!
The brackets for the King of the Ring are shown, and they will conclude with Kurt Angle versus Cactus Jack, Ken Shamrock versus The Rock and the final between the winners of those two matches! Cactus Jack then makes his way out for his match.
Cactus Jack def. Marc Mero Mero continued his losing streak here after falling to Cactus Jack this week with a Double Arm DDT!
An ad for King of the Ring is shown, live on Pay Per View next Sunday!
Break
A video recaps the events of Raw, mainly highlighting Vader’s vicious assault on the WWF Champion, Stone Cold Steve Austin. D-Lo Brown and Mark Henry then make their way out to the ring for the main event!
Owen Hart def. D-Lo Brown(w/Mark Henry) Without a doubt the match of the night, Owen Hart was able to put D-Lo away with the sharpshooter. Sean Waltman then made his way out like last week and tried to attack Hart, but he was able to counter and lock Sean in the sharpshooter! Hart would go on to let go of the hold before tossing Sean out of the ring as Heat went off the air!

Raw:
- I imagine that Vader faces some jobbers in the handicap match. I expect him to interfere in the main event.
- Good promo from Kane/Paul. I would think that Taker wins the in the Cell.
- Expected a Vader in that one.
- Good Rock promo. I'm thinking Shamrock interferes causing a DQ, tonight.
- Happy NME won. Hopefully, they win the title at KOTR.
- Happy Angle won. Didn't wanna see an Agulia upset.
- Liked DX's apology. Can't wait for Hunter/Owen.
- I'm Happy. Rock deserved to win. Rock/Farooq feud maybe?
- Actually surprised that TAKA won. Expecting a title change.
- Happy DX won. Didn't wanna see Austin bury them. Can't wait for KOTR. Vader for the win!
Heat:
- Outlaws winning is good. Not a fan of Skull & 8-Ball.
- Would've preferred Mero winning, but Cactus winning keeps up with current storylines.
- Owen winning is good. Surprised to see him on Heat, though.

WWF@ Austin, TX - Frank Erwin Center - June 22, 1998 A video highlights Raw is War’s final moments last week that involve Vader viciously assaulting WWF Champion Stone Cold! We then see the champion backstage flipping over tables, running staff members off, and looking into the camera saying “There is going to be hell to pay tonight. And that’s the bottom line cuz Stone Cold said so!”
The Raw is War opening video plays. The pyro goes off for Raw is War, but the theme of Vince McMahon hits as JR and Micheal Cole greet us. Vince and Vader make their way out to the ring and they do not hesitate in talking. Vince says that last week Vader gave Austin a very small sample of the beating he will receive at the King of the Ring pay per view. Vince then says that Austin will not be raising in hell tonight as well He says that Stone Cold has gotten out of control and the beating last week was needed in order to keep him in line, and if he wants another one, Austin can just try to wreck havoc on his show. Soon, glass shatters over the PA system as the crowd explodes! Vince and Vader don’t seem the slightest surprised and Austin makes his way into the ring. Austin says that he’ll admit the fat ape whopped his ass last week, but this week old Stone Cold will be delivering two ass whooping, one for Vader, and one for Vince McMahon himself. He then says if you want to see Stone Cold open up a can of some whoop ass right now, give me a hell yeah! As the crowd does not hesitate to shout hell yeah! Vince looks worried as Vader stands there looking ready for a fight. Austin carries on saying just six days before he beats Vader’s ass once again to retain his WWF Championship, he’s going to kick some ass! Austin then drops the microphone and socks Vince right in the jaw! Vader then attacks Austin, but Austin fights back! Steve then hammers on Vader and presses him into the corner, but Triple H, Sean Waltman, and Chyna hit the ring! Sean and Hunter beat down on Austin, but not of long, as Owen Hart and Terry Funk come in for the save! They get DX out of the ring before Austin dumps Vader out while Vince retreats! He grabs a microphone and says there will be hell to pay! And tonight, we will see Sean Waltman take on Terry Funk, Vader take on Owen Hart, and Stone Cold versus Triple H! The crowd cheers as everyone seems pleased about this news except for D-Generation-X.
Break
We come back to see a replay of the chaotic brawl that kicked off the show! Kurt Angle then makes his way out to the ring and grabs a microphone. He says that this Sunday will be the crowning moment in his great life, when he wins the King of the Ring tournament. Angle says it’s only fitting for an American hero, a man with intensity, integrity, and intelligence, a man who is a perfect role model for kids to win this tournament. Angle is soon cut off by the theme of The Nation of Domination.
Cactus Jack and Ken Shamrock def. Kurt Angle and The Rock(w/Kama, D-Lo Brown, and Mark Henry) Angle was upset with Rock throughout the match for cutting off his speech. The match came to a halt when Rock and Angle eventually combusted and Angle hit Rock with the Angle Slam! Angle argued with The Nation as Cactus Jack picked Rock up and hit a Double Arm DDT before pinning him for the three!
Cactus and Shamrock celebrated their win while Angle looked on from the stage smiling.
An ad showcases the latest WWF T-shirts, including brand new DX and Cactus Jack T-Shirts!
Break
Sean Waltman(w/Chyna) def. Terry Funk In our first of three matches set up by Vince McMahon earlier, Sean overcame Funk with a face buster from the middle rope.
Backstage we see The Nation in their locker room with The Rock looking more than upset after what happened earlier. Faarooq then wonders in and Rock shoots up and says “Where the hell were you?” Faarooq asks who is he, his father? Rock then says no, but perhaps he could’ve dragged his old ass out there to help them after Kurt Angle fed him to the wolves! Rock then says Faarooq is horrible leader, and Faarooq shouts back that Rock is nothing but a disgrace of a little punk, and brings his family shame. Rock then slaps Faarooq and says maybe it’s time for a change. The rest of The Nation hold them apart from a brawl as we head to a break!
Break
We come back to see Owen Hart making his entrance for his match! European Champion Triple H and Chyna were already at the commentary table with JR and King.
Vader def. Owen Hart Owen Hart put up a valiant effort against The Mastodon, but Vader put him away with a giant Vader Bomb after Triple H got up and smacked Owen in the back with his title while the ref had his back turned!
Following the match Triple H dumped water on a fallen Owen Hart and stomped on him a few times before leaving the ring. As Triple H leaves and Owen struggles to make his way back, fire erupts on the stage as Kane and Paul Bearer come out. They stand on top of the stage as Paul begins to speak. He says that this Sunday Kane will finally lay his brother, The Undertaker, to rest inside Hell in a Cell! In the very structure Kane started to destroy The Undertaker in. Paul mentions it’s only fitting that Undertaker gets what is coming to him this Sunday, with all the crimes that man has committed. There has been breaking and entering, assault, and even murder! Paul then closes up by saying he has a very special surprise in store for The Undertaker, oooohhhhh yyyyyeeeeesssss!
The War Zone opening plays before the pyro blasts off and we are greeted by JR and King, who recap our first hour of Raw is War. The New Age Outlaws then make their way out to the ring for our next match!
The Legion of Doom def. The New Age Outlaws VIA DQ In a great heated contest, The Legion of Doom would finally get their revenge when they had Gunn set up for the Doomsday Device, but Road Dogg attacked them with one of the tag team titles!
As they were both down on the canvas Gunn got to his feet, but The NWA faction came out! It looked as if we’d see a three on two beat down when The Headbangers came out, and The Legion of Doom got back to their feet! The four teams then stand in opposite corners, but they all start trading fists! The brawl goes all over the arena, to where Mosh and Bob battle into a bathroom and Gunn and Hawk end up in the parking lot! Security has to search all over the building to break them up as the WAR ZONE heads to a break!
Break
Backstage Kevin Kelly is standing by with the World Wrestling Federation champion, Stone Cold Steve Austin! Kevin Kelly begins to asks Stone Cold a question, but Austin just grabs the microphone and shoves Kelly back. He says that he's pretty damn tired of having to wait for everything, from having to answer your stupid little questions to opening up a can of whoop ass on Vader and Vince McMahon. Austin continues to say that after he's done whooping Triple H's ass tonight, and happily any other member of DX who tries to get involved, he wants Vader to come down to the ring. He then wants Vader to just try to pull the little stunt that he pulled next week, because if he does, god help him because old Stone Cold will open up the biggest can of whoop ass Stone Cold has ever opened! And that's the bottom line, cuz Stone Cold said so!
Rob Van Dam(w/Andrew Martin) def. Steve Blackman As we came back from the break the scene was much calmer. A fun little match here which saw Van Dam put Blackman away with the Five Star Frog Splash.
Bradshaw and TAKA Michinoku watched the ending of the match from the stage. The two teams shared some heated words, in English or not, until the WAR ZONE faded to a black screen.
An ad hypes up the King of the Ring pay per view live at eight P.M. eastern this Sunday!
Break
As we return from a break Marc Mero makes his way to the ring. He gets on a microphone and demands that he gets the respect he deserves! Mero then says he is issuing another open challenge here tonight and he vows to defeat them, but then, the lights go out and the crowd goes crazy! It’s The Undertaker!
The Undertaker def. Marc Mero The Undertaker squashed Mero here and put him away with a tombstone fairly quickly.
Following the match fire erupts on the stage as Paul Bearer once again makes his way out to the ring. Undertaker looks at Paul from on the stage as Paul shouts “surprise!” and Undertaker turns around, only for Kane to hit him with a big boot! Kane then starts to attack then Undertaker, even hitting the chokeslam! Paul then comes down to the ring and he hands Kane lighter fluid and a match! The crowd gaps in shock as Kane starts to pour the fluid on Undertaker, and he lights the match! As much staff as possible runs out to pull Undertaker out of the ring before Kane can finish what he started, and Paul seems furious! The WAR ZONE then heads to a break as Undertaker gets up and he tries to get into the ring!
A graphic hypes up our main event, Steve Austin versus Triple H, to take place next!
Break
As we came back DX was making their way out to the ring.
Triple H(w/Chyna and Sean Waltman) versus Steve Austin ends in a No Contest A good main event here that came to a close when Austin hit the stunner on Triple H and Vader made his way out to the ring!
Vader seemed if he was going to continue the beating when Austin jumped on him and started nailing shots in! The two then brawl outside of the ring and Austin gets a chair! He starts to whack Vader with it and Vader goes down! Then, Sean Waltman hits Austin with a superkick! Vader then gets up and picks up the chair before driving it into Austin’s stomach! As Austin gets up, Vader powerbombs him through the announcer table! Vader grabs the title and he raises it high in the air over a down Austin as Raw is War fades off this week!

Tuesday, June 23rd 1998
-Raw is War was balanced in the wrestling and entertainment side. Plenty of brawls throughout the night really showed off the chaos the WWF has to offer. Vader also continues to seem like a threat Austin's title reign, but many speculate Austin will retain once more. The opening tag match was said to be used perfectly in order to add some heat to the King of the Ring and even hinting at a heel versus heel final with Angle versus Rock? The multiple Kane/Undertaker segments were extra hype to their blow-off match this Sunday, and Austin cut a great interview which really defines his character by basically saying "You tried to paralyze me last week, and if you try it again, I'll whoop your ass!" The match between The Outlaws and L.O.D. is rumored to be their final two on two match for quite some time. Their feud is now over with.
-Sable and Kurrgan have both reported to have suffered injuries. Sable will be spending at least two more months out of the ring while Kurrgan won't be able to return until October. Word is the Jackyl will be given a new talent to manage, one with more in-ring skill.
