Plus the times are in our favor for collectors. Being a 'nerd' is chic nowadays, and because of it I get a lot of people really interested into the things I buy. At my old job I had a girl that LOVED texting me on her days off letting me know what she saw in a Target or Wal-Mart. She even started collecting female DC and Marvel Universe characters because she "liked the hunt".

I'm 19 and I am contemplating the same thing. The best thing I can do is tone down my buying altogether. Only buy what you REALLY want. The smallest inkling of doubt, just don't buy. That's why I skipped on Elite Dolph today. You can keep collecting, but if you are thinking about quitting, don't buy THAT MUCH anymore. Slow it down, then the decision will be easier down the road if you don't exactly know what to do right now.

I am 22 and as long as Mattel keeps up the awesomeness in the details and make the figures worth it i will collect. I stopped Jakks when they started going downhill and collected a bunch of other crap but now im back into WWE. Do what you want. I never get weird looks from people and i go into stores looking like a complete slow most of the time and i could give a crap less.

Who cares what people think or how you think they look at you..if you enjoy collecting then collect..Live your life for what you like and want and forget the rest. You will enjoy life more if you do whatever it is thats makes you happy and not care what anyone else thinks....

I was thinking..am i to old to continue with my collection?? Some people look at me weird when i buy figures..what u guys think?? \m/ Man my best friend of all people told me that its weird that i still collected figs and after i sold em off i feel stupid and i want them back and i want to continue my collection , so pretty much i'd say if you love collecting dont stop until you feel you dont want to screw everyone else its a hobby its supposed to be about you and not them

im 26 and still collecting my fiance helps out. we actually go out on hunts every weekend to see which wwe mattel toys we can find. but if your having fun with it and you get a rush of looking around for them then keep doing it. the hell with what people think. you could always put them in a choke hold if they say anything to you.

The best advise I can give you is that if you feel that you may not want to continue, DO NOT sell your collection. You should pack them away and maybe after a couple years or so you might get the "itch" back. I've gone through stages where I think I'm done, but then something awesome comes out that sparks my interest again and luckily I still had my figures. It all depends on you though. I would just suggest not to make any quick decisions and sell the figures when you might not have been ready to. Nice collection BTW.

Not only is your collection as a whole awesome, but is that a Giant Bernard custom I see?!? I was literally JUST looking at my RA A-Train and thought "You know, this head would make for an easy Mattel upgrade"
Some more info on him would be awesome

I'm 20 and thought about quitting the collection, although mine is only hasbro, tonka buddies and ljns. Then I found the hasbro rick steiner I was looking for years for for $2!
Mattel's legend line tempts me though, especially Mr. Perfect ;D

Hey if you stop collecting I will take that Ric Flair, wooooooooo! I'm going to be 26 in October. I love it. Action figures have been a hobby since I was like 8 and I have been addicted ever since. I go through periods where they become more important than at other times but from Star Wars, He-Man, comic book characters, movie figures, to wrestling I simply can't walk away from a great figure. Seriously, I have never once let someone who works at the places I buy figures from make me feel guilty for collecting. Largely because I have a very you attitude in general but secondly because I have worked for the right to do whatever I want with my money. My gf makes fun of me, all the time, but more so because she likes to bust my balls about everything. She doesn't participate in the hunting but doesn't make me hide the display in our house either. My friends all know I have been obsessed with wrestling since I was a kid so nothing really phases them at this point. Keep on keepin' on, and do what makes you happy.
