I woke up and they feel a little numb, but I can straighten my fingers and make a hard fist. So I think I'll be fine.

I'd still get it checked out just to be safe.

I am a pharmacy doctor but i still think you should go see a specialist.
Anyway, i believe you most likely slept over them. You cut the circulation for a long periond which lead to that colour and the "numb" feeling.
It can take a few days to get better but you will be good.

It's happening again, but my ride won't be able to take me to the ER until tomorrow, I am for sure going no matter what tomorrow even if I wake up and my fingers seem fine.

Slap.....no one on WFigs can help you. The best advice you can be given is head to the doctors. Its not normal and you should be seen by a pro.

As grumpyoldman said, it could be nerve damage. I have a numb index finger from time to time, but that's mostly a circulation issue.

So I went to the ER and they took x-rays and found nothing wrong and they referred me to a neurologist.
I don't know how x-rays are going to help them with my problem.
They didn't give me a diagnosis, only that I should see a neurologist whenever I can get in to see one.
They didn't seem to care too much, they just wanted to get out of there.

It's probably nothing serious, I'm sure it's a pinched nerve, having that can make things go numb and last for a while kinda like frogging a muscle.

I had a numb feeling on my elbow earlier this year, that lasted for weeks. It was just nerve damage I got from sleeping on it wrong.
So, it could very well be like that, Slappy....or it could be something worse. So, follow up with that neurologist visit, to be safe.

I called at least 5 neurologists today and they said none of them could see me.
Because I'm fighting with the hospital over a $1200 bill. They say I owe them that amount, but they never called my insurance company about covering the bill. Once the insurance company gets the bill it will only cost me $25. However, the hospital is refusing to budge and says I must pay the $1200 and will not put it through the insurance company.
So until I pay that bill, which I won't because the insurance should cover 99% of it, I cannot see a neurologist about my problem.
So it looks like I'll just have to live with the problem.

Carpal Tunnel.
Same issue, left hand, pinky and ring finger. Not quite as extreme as what you are describing, but that's what I was told (by a real doctor, not G2 at WFigs.com!
I lay off the computer for a few days, it gets better. I get on again like a maniac, it comes back.

Do you ever workout? Or are like over weight? No, I don't work out. I don't see how being over weight would cause the problem.

Wars "Symptoms usually start gradually, with frequent burning, tingling, or itching numbness in the palm of the hand and the fingers, especially the thumb and the index and middle fingers." I'm not having problems with my thumb, index or middle finger. Nor am I having a problem with my wrist.
