I lost a friend in high school after he was in a wreck and wasn't wearing one. He actually fell through the sunroof and hit a tree. So, I wear one every single time I get into the car.

Damn that is sad. I hope it was a lesson to your entire high school though. Did they have an assemble about that or something?

I wear one when I'm driving. Otherwise, no.

There's no reason not to wear a seatbelt. They are designed to save your life in the event of a crash.
But then again, people still smoke and it says on the box that it will kill you...so I guess social Darwinism is correct that stupid people do stupid things that get themselves killed.

I never did until one of my closest friends died in a car accident because he wasn't wearing one. I never ride in a car without one now.

I wear one. All the time, even when I'm not driving. The only time I don't, is if I have to move a vehicle so someone can either get in or out of my driveway. That's it. I know a number of people who don't wear their seatbelts and they all should, but you just can't convince them that it's not only against the law not to, but that it can save their lives.

He went to a different school, they had a memorial there for him.

I always wear it while driving. I litteraly feel naked without it. When im a passenger, I wear it most of the time. There has been the odd occasion when ill leave it off. Ill only leave it off while driving for doing things like parking for someone. My brother doesnt wear a seatbelt, he's too cool for it. I wear it to be safe, not to avoid tickets. Little story: I was riding with my mothers friend in about 6th grade, he was actually taking me to Target because I wanted to look for new WWE figures and stuff, and I put on my seatbelt like normal. Though this time, I did like some cars allow you to do, where you pull the belt all the way out, and it clicks back, leaving NO room to move whatsoever, because I just felt uneasy about the car ride. The last thing I remember doing, was looking at the car radio for a CD player, and BAM!! I didnt see anything that happened, all I knew was that something happened. Next thing I know, the cars stopped, air bags deployed, and smoke everywhere with a cracked windshield. I freaking go into shock because I have no idea what just happened, and start screaming. But, quickening it up, it was a four car accident, the car I was in was the worst, but everyone (to my knowledge..) was okay for the most part. The seatbelt did a number on me though. The next day my whole waist was black and purple, and I litteraly was unable to walk for two days. But I very well think the result would have been worse had i not wore a seatbelt. 'Nother little story: I recently rode a bike for the first time in about two years (Car's replaced it lol), and I felt unsafe because there wasnt a seatbelt lmao. I was thinking "If I hit something, im going over these ing handlebars!!" lmaoo.

Even if there wasn't a law, I would still were one. I honestly don't understand why some people refuse to were one. It takes like 2 seconds to put on, and will help prevent your death in case of an accident.

Always, since I was a child. Driver or passenger. Only time I'm not wearing one is to drive incredibly sort distances, like from my house to my mail box (which is at the end of my street).
Parents just instilled in me the need to always wear a seat belt no matter what. Like others, I just feel weird without it.

When ever I am in a Car I wear them, but in ones like coaches and taxis they are always so awkward to get, Infact I have never even seen a Taxi Driver wearing one!

Its a habit now for sure. I don't drive without it on. A lot of peoples lives have been saved from wearing one (in wreck scenarios).
