I'm done with this game, the patch made the entire thing worse.
- The cars are way to loose, as I can't even make it around a lap without drifting (hitting all my braking points) - The AI slows down in the corners at Talladega
Screw this game, again.

Probably the only one who will still play this game - Gangrel might - but the 2011 DLC is releasing tomorrow! Dave from Eutechnyx got the date wrong. He said "tomorrow" and then put July 25, which is today. I just checked the Marketplace on the Xbox, and there isn't anything, so I'm guessing the 25th is a typo and he meant the 26th.

I finally go the cars tight again, but had to adjust my assist which irks me. AI still are idiots, but other than that... all good.
Anyone up for a 360 league with the 2011 DLC?

I just ran a 10 lap at Daytona. First. The re-paved track looks great. I love that the night race is actually, you know, at night. The game was made harder, at least to me. I turned qualifying off, because pre-patch, I could run from 43rd to 1st and win a 10 lap race. Now......not gonna happen. I was mired back in 40th-43rd the whole 10 lap...well 11 laps. Caution response is, oh, freakin' great! Jennifer Jo Cobb wanted to test me, so I put her in the wall....instantaneous caution. That was nice. #38 - can't remember if Kvapil or Gilliland, lol - spun his ass too, got a Green-White-Checkered. Was running good, up to 31st on the last lap, and then got turned going into 3, and finished 40th. This game, to me, just got 100x better than it was!

I love qualifying now as it's an actually test, you don't automatically get first. When the patch came out I started a 2010 season (again), qualified all tracks and took me until the first 'Dega race to get a pole.

I got the pole at Daytona [2011 season] by like .2 seconds, whereas before, I could get the pole by like 2-3 full seconds. And at Phoenix, Race #2, I qualified 16th. And it took me 7 laps to get to lead pack, and on Lap 9 I took the lead and didn't look back.

Wow.....so I'm not liking this. I started a 2011 season - as documented above - and I thought it saved, since ya know, the game uses an autosave feature. Nope. I just went back into it after leaving it off before work after Phoenix, and I pick Career and it says "Continue 2010 Career". F*cker! I don't wanna continue 2010!!! I didn't even start a 2nd 2010 season. I started a 2011 season. I wanna continue THAT ONE!

FIX!
You need to have JUST THE FOLLOWING on your HDD/Mem. Unit/Flash Drive:
A.) 2011 Season Update B.) NASCAR 2011 Title Update #2 C.) NASCAR The Game 2011: DLC Profile [If it's not showing you haven't raced with 2011 DLC yet.] D.) NASCAR The Game 2011: Profile [Contains all your trophies and acheivments up to this point.]
For some reason, if you started racing a Career before the DLC released today, then the game will not overwrite the 2010 season, and it will think you want to load up 2010, and it will actually not have saved 2011. So....with just the 4 things above on your storage device of choice, restart 2011, and race Daytona. Afterwards, allow the game enough time to save. Exit to the garage, and either go back to the Dashboard, or reboot your Xbox, and then restart the game. It should load up 2011 just fine, and you should be ready to go and continue 2011 with no problems.

My wins are gone (50 away from the achievement), my fastest laps, everything. Awesome, huh?

All my previous race stats were there, even my first run at Las Vegas in my 2010 season, where I finished 43rd, because it said 1 race and my average finish was 43rd.

Yup, oh well... it'll keep me playing, lol. Yeah true. I love that the new points system is included with the DLC. I fell to 8th after finishing dead last at California - got spun on the last lap, so no caution. And now, 3 races later - 2 wins and 2nd place, and I'm only at 3rd in points, and like 32 behind Johnson, the leader.

Is there a create-a-car/create-a-driver on here?? I always like to make my own race team.

No STP 43. Oh well, the Air Force 43 makes me equally happy. Maybe now I can finally get the rest of those coins. ...or I'll keep putting it off and wait 'til I'm done with the 2011 season. Thankfully, I had nothing else saved on my memory thing, so nothing needed to deleted. Chances are I would've deleted the wrong thing anyway, so that's a plus.

I just have a hard time dropping $60 for something that I dont know fully about. The new/current paint schemes are in the DLC right?

The new/current paint schemes are in the DLC right? Yes. As is the re-paved surface of Daytona, the Megavision screen at Charlotte was added, and the new 2011 Points System is in too. It's 160MSP on the Xbox, since Microsoft came in and demanded that it be a for-pay DLC pack. But on the PS3, it is included in the title update #2, and is free.

Awesome, I have PS3 so all this will be free for me! How crazy is the create a driver/car?? I remember EA sports you would get sponsors like Moes Crab Shack and would get numbers 101-199. I hated that crap. Ive always wanted to drive #28 (in honor of my first real favorite driver Davey Allison).
