Yes. As is the re-paved surface of Daytona, the Megavision screen at Charlotte was added, and the new 2011 Points System is in too. It's 160MSP on the Xbox, since Microsoft came in and demanded that it be a for-pay DLC pack. But on the PS3, it is included in the title update #2, and is free. Awesome, I have PS3 so all this will be free for me! How crazy is the create a driver/car?? I remember EA sports you would get sponsors like Moes Crab Shack and would get numbers 101-199. I hated that crap. Ive always wanted to drive #28 (in honor of my first real favorite driver Davey Allison). I'm not sure, I've never really dabbled in it before....

Yes, you can use whatever number you like.
A thought occurred to me...what are Eutechnyx going to do next year? It's not like they can put out NTG2012 and have it with all the same cars as the DLC.

Legends? more Nationwide drivers? Maybe Trucks? Maybe a career mode where you have a "tryout" for a big team like Roush, Hendricks or something and they sign you to a Truck series contract and you have to work your way up to the Sprint level?

Does it really matter what they do? Factor in the pissed off fans who bought the game on release date and traded it in because of the problems with it (without knowledge of a patch) and then those pissed off with the patch? I don't know how many fans will be rushing to GameStop to buy another game from them. Honestly... they should release 2012 paint schemes instead of bringing out a new game early in the year (like this year). Release patches and schemes until about June of 2012, then release NTG '12 within July or August.

I don't see people getting 2012 as DLC, and then dropping $60 on an NTG2012 full title...with Activision publishing it, it will NEVER be less than $60 on PS3 and 360, which is what 99% of people have it on. I'd be fine with DLC updates for the game, unless they add features to it. And by features, I don't mean fake ass drivers with triple digit numbers like EA Sports did. I'd like to see some Nationwide tracks that the Sprint Cup guys don't run at be added as DLC. Milwaukee, Nashville, Road America, especially the Road America course. That sucker is like 4 miles long. That would be fun to run a race there. We do already have Nationwide drivers in the game, people like Josh Wise and Ryan Truex, Elliott Sadler, among others. I think we could get a few Nationwide tracks. It'd be cool to see the Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis on a game, even though the 2011 race just this past Saturday is the last one, as NASCAR has decided that the Nationwide race will also be held at Indianapolis Motor Speedway starting next year. Ionno, I'm just rambling now because I'm in metal hangover mode from Mayhem Fest yesterday, LMAO!

Seriously, we're not on Sega Genesis anymore. With online access, DLC (what sporting games DOESNT have something you can download) and patches (again, how many sports games have made updates?) It would be silly to just drop a game and lose $45. To me, those people dont deserve to have anything rewarded to them.

Okay it's almost 4AM, and I'm too lazy to edit my other post. Besides there aren't many more of us that post here, so . At the exact point in the 2011 season that the Sprint Cup actually is, 20 races in [Indy]: Starts: 20 Wins: 9 Top 5's: 15 Top 10's: 16 DNF: 0 Still 2nd in points, 10 behind the leader Jimmie Johnson. 6 races before the Chase cut-off.

I've been running my career races between 50% and 100%, that way I can rank back up faster.

The only way I would ever buy NTG2012 is if it had a combo of NASCAR Thunder 2004 and 2005.
04 had the career mode where you bought, built, and repaired all of your cars. So you started with two crap cars, bought better equipment and such to make better cars, and had to repair your cars if you wrecked them, so you had to take care of what you had.
05 had the 4 series (Modified, Truck, Nationwide, Sprint), where your skill landed you new jobs, and it had the great calendar that allowed you to race every series if possible, or made you choose where you wanted to go.
Combine these two things with the levels of car tuning NTG11 has, and you have the game I wanted for NASCAR 06.

Wow, idiot AI. So I started the Chase. Didn't feel like qualifying for Chicago or New Hampshire, and man did I stink the place up or what! Of course, by no fault of my own. 4 cautions in a 13 lap race, cause by BOTH Michael Waltrip and David Ragan spinning me TWICE EACH! I was super aggressive on laps 12 and 13, and ended up finishing 15th. Maintained the points lead by 2 points over Jeff Gordon.
Onto New Hampshire, and that changed completely. I finished 41st there. Ragan, Cobb, and Bodine wrecked me, and around to lap 12 of 15, I got aggressive again, made it to about 22nd by turn 1 of the final lap, and Newman spun in front of me. Allmendinger, me, and Newman were involved in that last lap spin, and I came across 41st.
Did I mention Jeff Gordon, who was in 2nd place at the start of the Chase, won both of those races? I fell from 1st to 5th after 2 races. 43 points out of the lead. Dover was 3rd, and I qualified that one. To hell with starting 43rd. First lap, 23rd fastest. 2nd lap, pole position. By 6 one-hundredths of a second. LOL. Race started, and I jumped out and NEVER looked back. Built up to a 23 second lead. Was around to 7th place being lapped, and on Lap 14, Jimmie Johnson spun out in turn 1. Erased me lead, but on the restart, I jumped right back out, and ended up winning it, leading all 20 laps, and winning by 7 seconds over 2nd place Jeff Burton. Leapfrogged both Burton and Johnson [2nd and 3rd respectively] in points, and am back to 2nd place, 36 points out behind Gordon, with 7 races to go.

I DID IT! 2011 Sprint Cup Champion, Dale Earnhardt Jr.!
I took the points lead with 2 races to go, by 2 points. Won the race at Phoenix, and took a 15 point lead going into Homestead-Miami. Bit scary there in that race, we had the full 3 attempts at a Green-White-Checkered finish. Restarting on the 3rd Green-White-Checkered, I was in 23rd, and Jeff Gordon was in 3rd. I needed to finish no less than 15 spots behind Jeff to win the title. I ran aggressive and finished 12th, to Gordon's 2nd, and won the title by 5 points. Closer margin of championship victory than even real life, which is the 8 points that Kurt Busch won the title by over Jimmie Johnson in 2004.
Now I am running 2011 again, this time with Greg Biffle. After 2 spins at Daytona, I rebounded and came home 3rd. Not gonna do much more on there tonight though, as I did the full Chase for one, and started another season, LOL. 11 races is enough for a day.

Better soak up Jr. as the champion... Sorry, had to do it. He gets his head out of his ass and, oh I dunno, wins a race or two, he can actually do it. Got ALOT of work to do though, he's 9th in points, after being as high as 3rd.

Dammit!! First instance of no caution flag. I got spun in turn 2 at Bristol, and finished 43. Was in 38th, battled back there at the end, and got spun again. So with that 43rd place finish, I dropped from 1st to 9th in points. Granted that was only the 4th race, but a 8 spot fall hurts.
Update:
After Talladega - 8th race I believe - Greg Biffle is sitting 3rd in points, just 24 behind leader Jimmie Johnson. Got spun at 'Dega, so after starting on the pole, I had to settle for 4th.
