I figured I'd change this thread to cover NTG Inside Line, which released today.
I picked it up and am heading back to play. Gonna be making some cars first, like the #3 Goodwrench and #3 AdvoCare out of the gate.
**EDIT** Another change. NTG '14 announced.

I'm looking forward to it because, instead of buying a new game every year, they'll make roster updates DLC. Maybe I'll catch ya online around that time.

The release date has been moved to March 29th due to some bugs, in case anyone was wondering.

Are the paint schemes from this year? I saw a picture of Harvicks car and it was the 29 Shell car....That would really suck if its last years stuff.

Or maybe not. Maybe what I read was about creating custom cars. In any case, the limitations are pretty much endless. I wonder if they'll throw the Goodwrench sponsors in there so we can make Dale Sr., because all the lists I've seen do not show him as a playable driver.

That would suck royally with last year's schemes. I mean NFL, MLB, NCAA, NHL etc games all have the current year's rosters. You might have to do an update to get them 100% but its not stuff from a year before. With drivers in cars from 2010, I see this game going down hill and on sale FAST. They should have just waited and released it in like August like EA sports did, that way the cars would be up to date.

It was always off the previous season from the year of the game. The last game, NASCAR 09, was released in 2008 and was based of the 2008 season. Sports games are always based off the previous season of the year of the game. Thus, NASCAR The Game 2011 will be based on 2010. And considering the game was in development at the start of the Chase in 2010, it would have been hard to make it based off the 2011 season.

There's supposedly going to be a patch later this year that will update to this year's teams/paint schemes.

Are they still gonna have in the custom paint schemes like EA did where you could upload your own template image for the car? That crapwas great.
I'll probably get this when it gets a little cheaper.

I'll probably get this when it gets a little cheaper. They have a Paint Booth thing, I dunno if that will be like the last EA game or not. But you are right that was great. Friend of mine made an absolute sh*t ton of cars on that. Jr.'s #8 Budweiser and #88 Old School Mountain Dew, #88 Citizen/Soldier 3 Doors Down cars, Dale Sr.'s #3 Goodwrench, among a few others.. There's supposedly going to be a patch later this year that will update to this year's teams/paint schemes. That would be cool as shiz... Hopefully that happens.

Ahh.....double post again, but this is not as popular a game as others so it's cool. I cannot wait for this game. FOX Sports showed some more footage during the pre-race show for the Auto Club 400 today, and I was kinda cursing them LoL. I dunno what my first race will be. Probably Dover since that is my hometown track. Dale Jr. is my default driver, but I'll also run drivers like Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart or Carl Edwards from time to time.

Gah. Just one more day. I watched some more gameplay videos, mainly some laps being run around different tracks and man, it looks better and better each time I watch it. 3 years is far too long for a dedicated NASCAR game.

Video I just watched confirms the free 2011 patch. They said that the Paint Booth thing is pretty sophisticated to where you could easily re-create things like the Budweiser car or the Miller Light car....oooh I can't wait.

- It's true that there is a patch coming out with the 2011 cars; it's suppose to be out in May or June - PaintShop doesn't allow you to create your cars on the PC like '09; has to be done in-game. - 360 users can not use the "custom cars" online out of the box either; something about Microsoft's policy. For the record, there is already a patch coming out fixing up a few things [damage, AI strength to make it harder]. I'm getting it tomorrow. ----- Anyone interested in trying to set up a 360 league for it?

Can't wait. I'm going to try my best to get the game tomorrow. I love how realistically you can now turn cars around in the corner.

I call Kyle Busch, yeah, I'll flip the NASCAR official off if I get a speeding on pit-road penalty too. EDIT: I dunno if this is true or not [won't have the game for another twelve hours or so. ] but apparently you can only use your career car in online games. -------
