I could prolly see myself saying something like that afterwards too, but this whole studying and a sh*t ton of work stuff is something that I won't miss at all...

I just get sick of constantly having due dates, projects, and homework in the back of my mind. Even when I'm not in class I have to worry about stuff I need to do, it never ends. With a job (well most jobs), you can put in your 8 or so hours and then not have to do anything work-related until the next day. The semester went by really fast, though. 1 more year.

I'm in the middle of Finals and end of semester too.
I don't mind the work, I just dislike all the uncertainty even though I feel prepared for certain things.

Knicks win again, 7 in a row on the road. 9 road wins overall and are now the best road team in the NBA. Won 9 of their last 10 games.
They're 3 games above .500 in December wtf.
Last time they started season this good was 1994.

Also nice to see Nate Robinson fill in for Rondo today and lead the Celtics to victory... Boston is a point guard's dream come true... just ask former NY Knick Nate Robinson.

Me thinks if the Blazers don't play well tonight, a coaching change might be imminent. They're an absolute mess of an organization. I wish they weren't the only game in town so I can have something else to focus on.

Going to the Bulls/Thunder game tonight, but I have to take a final first I'm excited to see Durant play. Hopefully the Bulls bring it strong and everyone has solid games. I want double doubles from Rose, Boozer, Noah, and Deng! Korver with 5 treys.

The Hornets have been playing like utter **** ever since the trade they made. Combine that with the sale with the NBA, the Hornets are just a giant mess right now. I'm really hoping the Hornets don't get moved though.

Yeah, it don't look good for the Hornets to remain in New Orleans that's for sure. For the benefit of the fans, hopefully they kind find a suitor to buy the team and keep them there, but my gut says they're likely heading out of town.
I'm curious what they'll do in the meantime now that the NBA owns the team. I doubt they make deals that will add to the payroll, but would they approve of one that would send players away to bring down the payroll? If so, that will spark a lot of controversy, especially if one Chris Paul gets moved under their approval.

I'm really hoping the Hornets don't get moved though. That's why the NBA stepped in, so that they do not get moved, hopefully. But if they do, the NBA will be able to obviously have a great say in where.

As long as the Knicks keep beating up bad teams they'll get into the playoffs.

Any team that wins 10 of their last 11 and has more road wins than any other team in the league can't really be denied as drastically improved.
As someone who follows them closely I'll be the first to tell you that they've led late in the 4th quarter of every single game they've played except Denver (which they were tied) and they had a chance beat Boston in game 2 but were just overmatched on chemistry at the end.
Gonna be interesting to watch them going forward. I think they have Boston and Miami in the next 2 weeks, and OKC on the 22nd which I'll be at.
But, Amare certainly is an early season MVP candidate.

Jeez Cleveland really was done after the Heat game huh? Lost 5 in a row, all by double digits and 4 of them by over 20 lol.... and tonight by 20 to the 76ers!!
As I said, Miami looks to be picking it up after the Cleveland game when they realized they have LeBron James on the team now.
Also, what did Andre Miller do to get suspended and wasn't he like their best player this season so far? Just a year ago Portland looked like the best young foundation in the league.
I ain't trying to make any boastful claims at all because we all know beating Minnesota, a slumping Hornets and a bunch of sub .500 teams doesn't make you that good... but the Knicks are the youngest team in the league.
As for Dallas picking it up.... yea, great... Dirk had 2 rebounds tonight against David Lee and 1 against Kevin Love previously... they'll get bounced by round 2 with play like that.

and yes Quanthor I still think Lamarcus Aldridge is going to be a great player... but this situation is ugggly. Stick it out, you still got Roy and Aldridge.

This is what got him suspended.
Welcome to the league young fella.
The Blazers are a wreck because they've had one too many injuries with the worse one being Roy who is about 1/2 the player he use to be. Everyone is trying to adjust to this NEW Roy, but it isn't looking too good. Did I mention that this is the first year of his 5 year $80mil dollar contract?
The Blazers are a wreck because they have no inside presence due to the fact that Aldridge is a jump shooting PF and team patiently waited for Oden to arrive to fill that need rather than going and getting somebody who can pound the basket.
The Blazers are a wreck because their bench is horrendous and inexperienced. They need a vet at the backup PG.
The Blazers are a wreck because they have pieces that just don't work well together (ie Roy and Miller). Roy likes players that can spread the floor opening up space for him to get to the hole and dish out for open 3's, but Andre can't shoot for sh*t, everyone knows this so Roy's driving lanes become smaller because Miller doesn't stretch the defense out and it instead just collapses on the paint. On the flip side, Miller likes quick players who can move without the ball, but Roy is really slow and pretty much sucks without the ball. It's a match made in heaven.
They also don't rebound the ball very well, they use to be one of the best and now because they're undersized playing 3 guards in any given lineup, they get destroyed on the glass.
They don't play great team defense, at least not consistently. They don't give up a ton of points, but they are 24th in the league in allowed FG%. Size plays a factor here too.
They also are an atrocious passing team. I think passing is one of the more underrated attributes in the game, your offense will flow so much better if you have great passing. The Blazers don't, so it's easy to disrupt their offense by just doubling Aldridge, Roy or Miller.
They're a mess and not looking like a playoff team right now, which might be a good thing, I dunno. There's nothing worse than being a 6-8 playoff team and if they made it that's what they'd be looking at. I'd rather be in the lottery.
Again, they have a giant mess on their hands that isn't gonna get better any time soon. It'd be nice to be optimistic, but I have zero faith in the front office to get the job done. Paul Allen did give us the Rose Garden and is a willing spender, but all of that kind of nullifies itself because he allows too many of his corporate friends to make decisions on the team. The team lacks visionaries and leadership. What's worse than all that is when he dies, the team will be run competely by his corporation, Vulcan Inc. and there's not telling what the hell they'll do with the team.
I'm begging for somebody to bring in an NHL club or build a goddamn baseball stadium because this purgatory that the Blazers are going to be in is going to be depressing to watch.

yea I hear you about double teams and passing. It drives me nuts to see any team not move the ball around as much as teams like Boston do when the ball isn't in Rondo's hands, or the Lakers when it's not in Kobe's. Miami started doing it after a few possessions in that Cleveland game last week and it was the perfect example of going from that crap isolation that just ticks time off the clock and never gets the team a wide open shot, to passing like everybody except the bigs need to touch it twice.
It's mind boggling to realize that a lot of these professional teams don't apply more passing and selflessness considering it takes so long for defensive rotation to counter multiple passes.
You are spot on about Miller, he does seem to be a guy who likes to hit a screener or not settle for being the first pass leading to assist as opposed to getting the assist. He doesn't do well when other guys hold the ball.
He flies under the radar in this league because of all the point guards, but his consecutive game streak ended last night. I remember his rookie year in Cleveland he was an assist monster then he missed like an entire year or something. It's as if his consistent health after that has gone unnoticed.
As for Roy, he's not even a year removed from that surgery so it's tough to say if it did alter his game for good. I hope not.
