-Amongst the AMMA, it seems strong strikers are very common. Will this be an advantage for skilled grapplers?

Opening Heavyweight Bout
Luke Collins Vs Chad Hicks
Round 1: The striking game of the heavy set Chad Hicks worked quite well early, but eventually Collins caught on to the strategy. For the entire round it was nothing, but striking and a few takedown attempts by Hicks. The fans started to get a bit bored as the fight seemed to drag on until Luke stuffed a takedown, and took the back of Hicks. Luke showed that he may put away Hicks early as he rolled him over and had him in a vicious armbar hold. Hicks was just about to throw in the towel before the bell rang, signaling the end of the first round.
Round 2: The second round began with Hicks seeming a bit angry that he was near his first loss minutes ago. Hicks stuck to the same gameplan, but added a noticeable increase in power behind his punches. Luke really impressed the crowd by staying light on his feet, and dodging various strikes. Fans began roaring when Luke would do so, and he eventually wore Hicks down to the point where he could get an easy clinch. Luke rained down strikes, and pulled Hicks forward to allow himself to throw Hicks on his back. The fans looked on impressed by the display of Judo in this primarily striking match as Luke gained control. To the shock of most, Luke went out of his comfort zone, and began a ground in pound. Surprisingly, Luke was quite effective as he formed a very small cut above Hicks' right eye. This cut triggered Luke's senses to end it now with a knee bar. The knee bar was locked in beautifully with just a minute to go; Hicks was aware that he would not be saved by the bell and tapped under pressure.
Winner via Submission (Knee Bar) Luke Collins (RD 2 4:13)
Post Fight Interview: In the post fight interview Collins explained that he doesn't need heavy hands to finish a fight. He also exclaimed that, even though he won, feels he didn't do as good as he could and is looking to improve. He thanked the fans, and left the cage.
Light Heavyweight Bout
Chris Garza Vs Don Justus
Round 1: The veteran Mixed Martial Artist, Don Justus, makes his debut in AMMA in this fight against a rookie Chris Garza, The first round of the second fight of the night was very exciting as Garza had a bit of showmanship in him. Garza threw and landed two spinning back kicks that drove deep into the side of Justus. This was good for Garza as far as damage, but this last thing he needed was to feed his own ego. Garza used his kickboxing background to throw short, pulled leg kicks to see how Justus reacts. Once he felt comfortable he swung his leg hard to Justus, but Justus caught it at his side! With Garza shocked at being denied like that, Justus used his free right hand to drill Garza in the nose, sending him to the ground. This is where the decorated wrestling background of Justus kicks in as he immediately gets into a full mount. Justus repositioned to where he was lying on top of Garza to end the round.
Round 2: Garza began the next round as if he was given an earful from his corner as he played very smart and conservative. Justus knew that Garza would no longer come to him so he shot for the takedown and got a mount. Justus rolled Garza over and began short knees to the side that really irritated Garza. This fight remained on the ground for awhile and forced the ref to stand up the fight. Garza became impatient, and started swinging. This time, Justus couldn't keep up as he was backed into the cage. Garza clearly would've had the fight won, but the experience of Justus told him to get Garza in a tight clinch. This should have been split up, but Justus turned Garza around and tripped him up to where he had ground control up against the cage. Justus really began to beat on Garza, who was completely defenseless, and this forced a referee stoppage.
Winner via TKO Don Justus (RD 2 3:41)
Post Fight Interview: During the interview Justus had little to say but that he's happy he won tonight. All he really said was that he's happy he won and he gave the usual shout-out to friends, fans, and family. Quick, and to the point interview and Justus went to the back. Chris Garza then steeped up and exclaimed he's disappointed he lost, and he knows he needs to cut out the rookie mentality.
Heavyweight Bout
Jacob Blake Vs Franklin McCoy
Round 1: This round did not go all that well for McCoy, but Jacob sure did have fun. He was able to get in quite a few quick strikes and hop out of reach the entire round. McCoy seemed very tired, beaten, and frustrated at the end of the round, but Blake was simply swaggered back over to his corner.
Round 2: Round 2 showed that McCoy had obviously gotten an earful and is out to fight it off. Blake never really showed signs of losing, but sure did get hit numerous times. Near the midway point, McCoy tried to swing at the head, but Blake rocked him with a vicious head kick. The fans combusted in cheer as Blake made an attempt to finish it, but McCoy was able to defend with his thick legs. The match continued in a standing stalemate as neither man could gain control.
Round 3: The final five minutes of the fight were very close, literally. The clinch game of Blake came into play as McCoy was attacked by knees. Even though he was near defeat, he was somehow able to adapt and end the clinch by catching a knee and bringing him down with it. McCoy then gained control on the ground and suppressed Blake from control for the rest of the match. Eventually, the round ended and the match's fate went into the judges hands.
Winner by Unanimous Decision Jacob Blake
Post Fight Interview: Blake seemed very happy, yet couldn't speak much cause he was tired. He said he was glad he won, thanked the usual people everyone thanks at award shows and what not, and walked to the back.
Light Heavyweight Bout
Ivan Stang Vs Deacon Trevors
Round 1: The moment the bell rang Trevors rushed his opponent and began pounding. He had a good run, but Stang barely escaped. Stang slipped around, and took control of Trevor's left leg. Unfortunately for Stang, Trevors knew how to maneuver out and gain a full mount. Trevors was able to easily end the fight from that position.
Winner Deacon Trevors via KO (RD 1 1:32)
Post Fight Interview: Treavors didn't seem to excited that he had won, just like he wanted to get in and get out.
Light Heavyweight Bout
Jerome Carillo Vs Micah Snell
Round 1: The two young light heavyweights began fast as Snell began swinging, He landed one or two, but then backed off, Carillo made a decision that would turn out a good one when he got a picture perfect takedown that brought him in a full mount up against the cage. This allowed Carillo's fists to fly on the head of Snell. Snell took a hard beating before the ref was forced to stop it.
Winner via TKO Jerome Carillo (RD 1 1:11)
Post Fight Interview: Carillo could barely get in a word due to the roar of the crowd. After a few seconds that felt like minutes, Carillo was able to speak. He took this time to announce his shock and happiness that he won in such an impressive way. He walked away on cloud nine as Snell denied an interview in a fit of rage.
AMMA Heavyweight Championship
Mike Fontaine Vs Michael Christopher
Round 1: Fontaine started out calm, yet Christopher was quite loud an looking for attention. It was about 10 seconds before anything happened, but when it happened it happened fast. Fontaine was extremely focused as he threw only smart combos of both punches and kicks. Christopher did get shots and a kick or two at scattered times, but Fontaine always seemed to have an answer. The round was 100% stand up that included Fontaine slipping, but getting back up before Christopher could react. The round ended in a surprising when Fontaine went for an axe kick that clipped the right shoulder of Christopher and knocked him down.
Round 2: The round was a bit better as Christopher played more conservative and had control throughout. Near halfway in, Fontaine took a slight risk when he pulled guard and tried to beat Christopher on the ground. Christopher stopped him for a bit to get in strikes, but Fontaine's BJJ background assisted him in escaping. As Fontaine escaped, he spun around and already had Christopher in a rear naked choke. Christopher survived for about 19 seconds before being forced to tap.
Winner via Submission (Rear Naked Choke) Mike Fontaine (RD 2 3:32)
Post Fight Interview: Fontaine stayed to get an celebratory interview, but not before adding the newly acquired belt to his waist. He thanked many, and celebrated with his crew for he rest of the show.

- AMMA 1 was quite impressive. Every fight was won in an exciting way and it almost never got boring. Rest assured, we will be viewing AMMA 2.
- Mike Fontaine became the first AMMA Heavyweight Champion at AMMA 1 via submission (Rear Naked Choke) in the second round over Micheal Christopher. It was a very hard fought match by both men, but in the end the cockiness of Christopher lost the fight for him. Who will Fontaine defend his title against next?
- The first ever light heavyweight title fight is announced! The 1-0 Deacon Trevors will square off against the also 1-0 Don Justus at AMMA 2! We wish both men the best of luck as we are anxious to see how it plays out.
- The AMMA has signed a new star to the light heavyweight division! Jin Yamoto of Tokyo, Japan to the roster. His debut fight is yet to be announced, but is rumored to be at AMMA 3 at the latest.
- Tickets to see AMMA 2 live in Dallas, Texas go on sale November 30th! Will you be there?

Luke Collins Vs Gerald Moser
Round 1: If you had to describe this round in one word, it would be hesitant. Both men kept their distance, and only struck when they really could. This continued until at about midway Collins lunged in and scored a perfect takedown. Collins proceeded to attack his opponent by getting up and punching his opponent square in the nose on the way to the full mount position. Moser was unable to escape this spot, and he eventually tapped to a well executed rear naked choke by Collins.
Winner via Submission (Rear Naked Choke) Luke Collins (RD 1 4:02)
Post Fight Interview: Collins thanked everyone and celebrated in his interview. He said he is surprised he has not yet faced a submission specialist and is looking forward to future bouts.
Heavyweight Bout
Jacob Blake Vs Franklin McCoy
Round 1: The rematch from AMMA 1 kicked off in an exciting way as McCoy straight up bull rushed Blake at the bell. Blake was well prepared, and sprawled out of McCoy's early takedown attempt. Blake quickly went back to the plan that beat McCoy over a month ago as he went to clinch knees and elbows. The determination of McCoy was astounding as he would always get back up and fight no matter what Blake threw at him. The round continued with Blake on offense and came to a close ending as Blake ducked what would've been a jawbreaking spinning back fist.
Round 2: McCoy continued to have the same motivation, but this time he was on the offensive the majority of the round. He fought with superior strikes and avoided all clinch attempts. Blake was able to squeeze in a takedown that gave him some offense, but McCoy listened to his corner and was able to slip away. The round finished with a flurry of blows sent by both men as they went into the final round.
Round 3: This round was an exciting one as the fighters picked up where they left of with the exchanges. Blows were traded until Blake was caught with snd unexpected left to the jaw. The blow sent Blake stumbling back into the cage so that McCoy could end the fight.
Winner via TKO Franklin McCoy (RD 3 1:51)
Post Fight Interview: McCoy tried to keep it short and sweet as he was tired beyond belief. He was glad he got Blake back and went to the back to celebrate...or lie down.
Light Heavyweight Bout
Jerome Carillo Vs Chris Garza
Round 1: Carillo began focused and ready as he stayed back, and picked his spots. Garza backed the defensive Carillo back up against the cage and began pounding, but was put in an unexpected position when Carillo pulled guard. The sacrifice payed off as Carillo was able to work his way out of it and gain control of Garza's back. Once he was in control, Carillo imploded on Garza so much that the referee called for a TKO.
Winner via TKO Jerome Carillo (RD 1 2:34)
Post Fight Interview: Carillo celebrated and made a bold prediction sying everyone he faces will not make it past the first round.
Light Heavyweight Championship
Don Justus Vs Deacon Trevors
Round 1: Both men treated this like a championship fight as they gave it their all without leaving themselves open. Trevors kept a mindset that if he kept striking Justus would have no way of keeping up. Justus could, and he did. He was pressed against the cage, and got Trevors in a headlock. He continued by sweeping the leg, and remaining in the headlock even at full mount. Justus adjusted, and locked in a tight guillotine hold. This guillotine forced Trevors to tap and end the fight there.
Post Fight Interview: Justus was clearly excited, but he seemed to try to hide it. His corner really seemed happy by jumping around and celebrating. Justus thanked what seemed like everyone he knew and went off to celebrate.

I like how for the tour you're sticking to the one area and not doing a show in New York, then Vegas, then Los Angeles, etc. It's more realistic for a sign-up to stick to the one area. MMA diaries, let alone MMA sign-ups, usually don't last too long so hopefully you stick this one out. Fontaine should be a good champion, but I feel he should have had an interview or sjust some sort of appearance on every show aslong as he's champ. You didn't even make mention of him winning the belt on AMMA1.
