I'm happy McCoy got him some revenge as he shouldn't look weak. Still think I did a good job, though. Keep it up, man.

-AMMA 2 was alright compared to AMMA 1. We're somewhat disappointed as it did not exceed our expectations. We hope they can bounce back with AMMA 3.
-A handful of AMMA 3's matches are announced! This will be the first ever DOUBLE MAIN EVENT! The two fights are: Mike Fontaine Vs Michael Christopher & Don Justus Vs Jerome Carillo.
-Jerome Carillo has been a quiet breakout star recently. He's finished each fight he's competed in the first round via TKO. Now, he is recognized with a title shot against a veteran coming off his first title win. Even though he's fought in back to back months he's seemed fresh and ready each time. Both are undefeated, who will remain undefeated AND walk out champion? Find out at AMMA 3.
-Tickets for AMMA 3 are on sale now! If you'll be in the Oklahoma City area on January 15th, be sure you'll be at AMMA 3 to witness all the action.

I assure you AMMA 3 will be better than 1&2 (combined?), Fontaine is headlining again! ;-) Id rather take on different fighters, however. Luke Collins, first, then maybe cut weight, to face Yamato, or have him move up to HW

AMMA 3 AMMA 3 - January 15, 2011 - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Fontaine Vs Christopher II
"This crowd is going CRAZY! They know that they're in for a hell of a show tonight!"
Heavyweight Bout Jason Blaine Vs Jacob Blake
Round 1: Like usual, Blake stayed back and picked his spots. This worked for him. Blake, on multiple occasions, was able to literally deflect Blaine's strikes, and attack an open man. He nearly ended the fight when he busted open Blaine's nose with a wild superman punch. The crowd got into this match up well as the began many creative chants. (Fortunately, the profanity-filled ones didn't take off to well.) The match continued with Blaine trying to be more disciplined and went to being a bit more aware when going in for even the weakest of blows. The round ended less exciting than it began, but the round was still alright.
Round 2: In this round, Blaine almost never tried to strike first. It actually worked to Blake's surprise as he was wrestled to the ground by Blaine. Blaine's ground game was quite impressive for a debut. He wrestled around with Blake for quite awhile before escaping a near submission defeat at the hand's of Blake's armbar. The fight went back to standing, but didn't last long as Blaine made a foolish mistake by getting into the clinch with Blake. After getting some sense knocked into him by flying knees he kept the clinch, but pressed Blake hard against the cage, trying to get underhooks. The round ended in this position, and both fighters seemed tired when retreating to their corner.
Round 3: The third and final round would go down in the history books as Blaine charged Blake in a full sprint, and earned a TKO victory. After the referee stopped it, Blake stood up and looked at the fans to see if any were as shocked as he was.
Winner Jason Blaine via TKO (RD 3: 0:12)
Post Fight Interview: Blaine was nothing less than overwhelmed at the fact he had won. He even said that he knew if it went to decision Blake had it in the bag so he "just went for it."
Light Heavyweight Bout Jin Yamato Vs Ryan Harrison
Round 1: The two Judo practitioners began their fight with a clinch that quickly led to a stalemate as neither man could get anything. They seemed to be at a stalemate until Yamato hit a beautiful sacrifice throw that involved him rolling on his back, and using his feet to lift Harrison over his head. This received a nice reaction from the crowd who had seen almost 100% stand up and strike fights this event. Yamato continued with his Judo gameplan with a hold, but Harrison knew a counter. It led to Harrison getting out, and bringing the fight back to a standing position. Harrison had a good run standing for the rest of the round. He had a few flurries that could've led to a finish, but it ended up with Harrison not going for it or Yamato getting back up quickly. At the end, somehow, Harrison slipped and landed on his stomach, but Yamato was unable to react before the bell rang.
Round 2: Round 2 began a bit more aggressively with both men just trying different things to see what worked. Each time either tried the opposition had an answer, until Yamato caught Harrison off guard with a double leg takedown. Yamato immediately began swinging out of pure adrenaline, but Harrison was able to move away just as the referee began to end it. The ref decided to allow the fight to continue which led to Harrison nearly escaping. Yamato was forced to go to underhooks if he wished to keep the full mount position. This allowed Harrison to control the head and get a guillotine locked in. Yamato had some trouble getting out, but he eventually did and the round ended standing up.
Round 3: Harrison was quick to rush the fight to the ground with a single leg takedown, but Yamato clearly knew how to avoid it. Yamato did all he could to keep it standing, Harrison also tried to keep it on the ground, but Yamato prevailed by keeping the rest of the fight on their feet. The fight didn't last much longer as Yamato buried his heel in the Harrison's side with a spinning back kick that led to a TKO victory.
Winner Jim Yamato via TKO (RD 3 1:56)
Post Fight Interview: Jim Yamato stated he was happy he won, and really pushed that he was happy he got to fight Harrison. He said he wouldn't mind fighting Harrison again, but he had a title to go after.
Co-Main Event AMMA Light Heavyweight Championship Don Justus (c) Vs Jerome Carillo
Round 1: Short and sweet, this round was EXCITING. Justus and Carillo stayed technical and on the ground until around the halfway point. Somehow they managed to get standing and Carillo turned Justus's lights out with a flying knee.
Winner and THE NEW AMMA Light Heavyweight Champion Jerome Carillo via KO (RD 1: 3:18)
Post Fight Interview: Carillo simply said "Told you" and patted his new belt before celebrating with his team.
AMMA Heavyweight Championship Bout Mike Fontaine (c) Vs Michael Christopher
Round 1: This round seemed to be over quickly as they were very aggressive throughout. They stayed in some sort of a clinch for quite sometime before letting go. When Christopher swung he really swung hard, and Fontaine kept his distance until the bell.
Round 2: Round 2 began with Fontaine rushing Christopher, but Christopher side stepping it. They continued to battle as they did the first round until Fontaine locked in another Rear Naked Choke out of nowhere. Christopher was, once again, forced to tap.
Winner and STILL AMMA Heavyweight Champion via Submission (Rear Naked Choke) Mike Fontaine

Good show, the title in the heading needs changing, I would like a tiny write up on the Preliminary matches, loving the Jin/Harrison bout with both men going all out in all kinds of positions, the spin kick was a nice way to end the bout, hoping Jin makes it to a title shot in the future, not sure about two title matches in one show could have easily moved the lightweight title match to the next main event but then it was so short it didn't really matter, glad Fontaine retained I can see him beating alot of guys in the future, good luck and keep this up.

I have to agree with Dragon as I feel the preliminary matches should have some sort of extended write up. Regardless, I am pleased to see Maro win a match.

PRELIMINARY CARD
Heavyweight Bout Jason Blaine Vs Chad Hicks
Nice, 3 round match up with a few exciting moments. The match was pretty much sealed when Blaine slammed Hicks late in the final round.
Winner via Unanimous Decision Jason Blaine
Light Heavyweight Bout Chris Garza Vs Matt Maro
Okay match. Maro seemed a bit sloppy, but was able to just barely prevail as Garza was VERY sloppy. An easy TKO victory was made when Garza missed a wild spinning back kick.
Winner via TKO Matt Maro (RD 2: 3:42)
AMMA 4 AMMA 4 - February 12, 2011 - Witchita, Kansas Trevors Vs Carillo
Heavyweight Bout Luke Collins Vs Gary Ingersoll
Very mismatched fight that probably should have gone on the undercard. Ingersoll was well unprepared as Collins could hit many takedowns and stay in the clinch for minutes at a time. Luke got a nice victory with a notable hip throw in mid-third round that set up an armbar submission.
Winner via Submission (Arm Bar) Luke Collins (RD 3: 4:12)
Collins said a lot in his interview as he claimed to be happy where he is at and hopes to go undefeated for the rest of his career.
Light Heavyweight Bout Don Justus Vs Jin Yamato
A real fight here with both men showing off great technique as they were almost always switching positions for an advantage. Justus nearly had a victory when he locked in a tight armbar that nearly defeated Jin. Jin was luckily able to use his Judo experience to escape and scramble into side control. The match went into it's final round with both men running on empty. Justus was quickly knocked down and Yamato struck him with an axe kick that nearly knocked the wind out of Justus. This allowed Yamato to easily finish him off.
Winner via TKO Jin Yamato (RD 3: 2:41)
Yamato made big promises in his interview as he said he will soon defeat Carillo for the AMMA Light Heavyweight Championship!
Heavyweight Bout The Rubber Match Jacob Blake Vs Franklin McCoy
Incredible bout as both men absolutely slugged it out with each other. Both men battled with pure fury and rage. This continued to the end of round one and into round two. They kept swinging until Blake was caught and landed on his back. Somehow, Blake pulled off an amazing triangle choke victory after setting it up with an up kick.
Winner via Submission (Triangle Choke) Jacob Blake (RD 2: 3:54)
The post fight interview was short and sweet as Blake was immensely tired after the grueling fight.
AMMA Light Heavyweight Championship Jerome Carillo (c) Vs Deacon Trevors
Another phenomenal fight for the title as both men fought with incredible heart. Ironically, this ended up being the shortest bout of the night as Carillo finished it when he pinned Trevors against the cage for a beat down.
Winner and STILL AMMA Light Heavyweight Champion via TKO Jerome Carillo (RD 1: 4:53)
Carillo seemed to be surprised in his interview as he said the believed Trevors would be the first to get to round two with him.

Yamato gunning for the title biatch, all good matches sad no Fontaine but he can't be on everyshow, maybe he could have been just watching, good to see Carillo retain as now Jin can face him soon enough, would like to see more matches going to judges decisions, good luck and keep this up.

PRELIMINARY CARD
Light Heavyweight Bout Matt Maro Vs Ryan Harrison
An interesting bout, but very sloppy. Mistakes made by both men back and forth. Eventually, Maro out slopped Harrison and allowed Harrison to earn the victory.
Winner via Unanimous Decision Ryan Harrison
Heavyweight Bout Michael Christopher Vs Jason Blaine
Michael Christopher returned to the cage against Jason Blaine who put on a nice fight. Unfortunately, it only lasted until the late first round before Christopher capitalized on a wrestling style takedown.
Winner Michael Christopher via TKO (RD 1 4:38)
AMMA 5 AMMA 5 - March 12, 2011 - Kansas City, Kansas Fontaine Vs Blake
Heavyweight Bout Luke Collins Vs Chad Hicks
The two men who had originally done battle in their AMMA debuts met again in the opening bout for AMMA 5. The bout lasted about half the scheduled time as Collins rocked Hicks with various kicks and knees. The second round was almost completely in the clinch, a strong point for Collins. He utilized his modified Muay Thai clinch to put the finishing touches before throwing him into a submission.
Winner via Submission (Arm Bar) Luke Collins (RD 2 2:49)
Collins, once again, pointed out that he's the only true submission master in the AMMA.
Light Heavyweight Bout Don Justus Vs Chris Garza
Justus is going into this match attempting to re-build momentum after losing his title recently. Luckily, he was put up against one of AMMA's worst. Garza kept playing aggressive even when it didn't seem to work. This allowed Justus to easily adapt his gameplan and pick apart his opponent. To the surprise of many, Garza lasted the fight, but, as expected, he had no chance with the judges.
Winner via Unanimous Decision Don Justus
Justus commended Garza, and said he wouldn't mind another bout, but he had to get his title back.
Light Heavyweight Bout Winner Earns Light Heavyweight Title Bout Jin Yamato Vs Deacon Trevors
Yamato began this bout off with a defensive approach, but he eventually had to ditch the plan as Trevors wild hands were dominating. This was the first time we saw Yamato legitimately stand up and fight. Every blow from each man had bone breaking force behind it. Each one with hope that the receiver will collapse and allow his opponent to earn a title shot. This lasted until late in the second round when Yamato landed the first kick of the fight deep into Trevors' armpit. This allowed Yamato to get a few free shots in and take Trevors to the ground. From here, Yamato ended the grueling war.
Winner via TKO Jin Yamato (RD 2 4:49)
Yamato reminded us all that he said he would go after that Light Heavyweight title, now all he has to do is win his next fight.
AMMA Heavyweight Championship Bout Mike Fontaine (c) Vs Jacob Blake
The main event came with a very excited crowd. Both competitors theme music were drown out by the roar of the fans who were split down the middle on who they wanted to walk out with a new belt. Once the match began, it was clear that the fight was as split down the middle as the crowd. Round 1 was pretty much even until the last minute when Blake scored a takedown. Unfortunately for Blake, time expired before he could capitalize. The next round brought it a small dose of clinch, but was pretty much divided between standing and ground work. On the ground Fontaine had control, but Blake was dominating in the stand up game. Round 2 was also pretty much even to all, but the fans, who believed their favorite had won. The rest of the fight was pretty much the same as the beginning rounds except for a big hit or two here and there. Once round four passed, it became tense. The fans grew silent and the fighters grew focused, even though they could pass out at any moment from fatigue. It resulted in the match going to the judges, who seemed very torn.
Winner and NEW AMMA Heavyweight Champion via Split Decision Jacob Blake
Jacob Blake was on the verge of tears as he celebrated winning his first AMMA championship. He thanked what seemed to be everyone he knew and went on to join in on the celebration.

I feel like you need a graphic just throw something together because the write up looks a little bland without a picture, another TKO win for Yamato and I love his build up to the title match I can't see him winning the belt though, Heavyweight botu was a great way to end off, sad that Fontaine lost but I can see him having a rematch, good luck and keep this up.

C'mon Yamato lets bring the belt home to Japan, doubt it though as Carillo just won, you should mention that the card is posted on the first page I doubt anyone knows that, you should just post it underneath the last update, another nice touch would be to put the fighters records next to thier name, it would make the Carillo/Yamato fight more intresting to an on looker if they saw thier impressive records, can't wait for the show, good luck and keep this up

PRELIMINARY CARD
Heavyweight Bout Chad Hicks Vs Jason Blaine
Hicks and Blaine kicked off the prelims with a standing war. There was quite a few takedowns thrown by Blaine, but he barely managed to gain one. This fight wasn't as short as it was expected, but it wasn't boring at all.
Winner via Unanimous Decision Jason Blaine
Light Heavyweight Bout Matt Maro Vs Deacon Trevors
This bout is arguably a main card caliber bout. Both men swung the majority of the time up until Maro pulled guard and achieved a victory by way of a guillotine choke.
Winner via Submission (Guillotine Choke) Matt Maro (RD 1 4:49)
AMMA 6 AMMA 6 - April 9, 2011 - Lincoln, Nebraska Carillo Vs Yamato
"What a card we have for the capacity crowd here in Lincoln, Nebraska!"
Light Heavyweight Bout Don Justus Vs Ryan Harrison
Ever since the card was announced Justus had sworn he would, "Shut this kid up." In this bout, Justus ate his words. Gabriel brought in a brand new fight style by bringing in the clinch. Harrison did not use this for strikes, but for throwing his opponent. Justus felt a powerful hip throw late in the second that set up an easy arm bar victory.
Winner via Submission (Arm Bar) Ryan Harrison (RD 2 4:32)
Harrison said what motivated him was the unflattering words said about him by Justus. He noted he hopes this victory helps his career progress in the AMMA.
Heavyweight Bout Michael Christopher Vs Gary Ingersoll
Easy fight. Christopher used his pent up frustration from being kicked out of the title hunt with a flash KO.
Winner via KO Michael Christopher (RD 1 0:08)
Christopher explained he is not done with the heavyweight championship. He said he doesn't care if it's Blake, Fonatine, or anyone else; he will defeat them.
Heavyweight Bout Luke Collins Vs Franklin McCoy
Long and tiring bout for both men as they battled on the ground and in the clinch for nearly the entire fight. This fight was split directly down the middle as neitehr man got a huge move to happen. The match came to a close in a shocking, yet widely predicted way.
Winner via Submission (Knee Bar) Luke Collins (RD 3 3:31)
Collins said he wants everyone to take notice as he is still the submission machine he was half a year ago.
AMMA Light Heavyweight Championship Jerome Carillo (c) Vs Jin Yamato
This match had high expectations for all and exceeded them for some. It was a long back and forth for the entire five rounds. Even though it got slow at some points, the fans were into it. Yamato didn't let emotions get the best of him as he focused on technique the entire time. Carillo, on the other hand, got a bit aggressive when things weren't going his way. They battled and battled until the final bell rang. Once the match was officially done, the fans argued all around the packed arena with various chants.
Winner via Split Decision and STILL AMMA Light Heavyweight Championship Jerome Carillo
Confusion struck the arena for the Yamato supporters as they couldn't understand why there was not a new champion. Carillo even mentioned he thought he wouldn't have his belt anymore in his post-fight interview.
