WWE SmackDown: Friday 7th January 2011...One WWE Superstars match? Unorthodox. Zack Ryder meeting Trent Barreta is good, advancing into the Royal Rumble match is alright I guess. Where is Curt Hawkins? I'm sure he would have an interesting story with Ryder. I'd love Barreta to make an actual episode of SmackDown whilst looking credible, really. Decent promo to kick off the show with Edge in the ring, good interruption with Kane and basically we have the expected match between Kane and Edge at Royal Rumble. Just a slight back down after their Tables, Ladders and Chairs match at TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs. Liked Edge actually being in action, and Cody Rhodes having the chance to prove himself against the World Heavyweight Champion. Was quite obvious who would win though. Drew McIntyre beating David Hart Smith to get into the Royal Rumble match is probably better, but I see Smith somehow being in anyway. Laycool beating Kelly Kelly and Rosa Mendes is a tag team match we've seen too many times. Didn't do much, liking Laycool's proposal to Natalya about a future WWE Divas Championship match 'as guaranteed by Mr McMahon'. Alberto Del Rio beating JTG is a good way to get himself over, who is this Lacey chick? Suppose it evens up the face roster of SmackDown divas. Chris Masters attacking Del Rio for the save is good, just wondering how long Del Rio will be in these dead end midcard feuds that always ends with him winning. He's definitely not main event worthy in my eyes (just don't see it) but I think he should be in better feuds and storylines. Rey Mysterio and Dolph Ziggler had a good match, as always. Rey won with a 619? Bit weak. I hope Mysterio doesn't touch the WWE Intercontinental Championship personally. Los Aviadores in another match is fine, bit weak for them to beat the Usos though. I mean, it makes Jimmy and Jey look sort've weak against the newcomers. Acceptable main event I suppose. They main evented the UK SmackDown show in November and it wasn't that good. Kane winning was the better as he needs all the momentum to face Edge (though I hope Edge retains, and probably will). A decent episode, nothing too special.

Following the opening video package, RAW kicks off with a pyro-technics display. Michael Cole welcomes us to the show, alongside CM Punk and WWE Hall of Famers JR and Jerry 'The King' Lawler! Tonight RAW celebrates it's 18th birthday in style, with some of RAW and Smackdown's finest stars!
Shawn Michaels starts us off. He heads to the ring with a dramatic entrance (as always). The General Manager has a mic and thanks the fans for celebrating RAW's birthday here tonight! Michaels talks about the WWE Champion The Miz, and how he's going to come out and give RAW his 'birthday gift' by announcing his choice of stipulation for his Royal Rumble title defence right here, right now! If he doesn't reveal it now, Michaels will strip him of any privilege he had in choosing the stipulation. Sure enough, this draws The Miz out along with his protege, Alex Riley. Miz stays on top of the ramp, not daring to come too near to Michaels, who hit Miz with Sweet Chin Music last week. Miz goes on about how he disapproves of Michaels as GM and will voice his 'concerns' to Mr. McMahon and the Board of Directors very soon. Miz then talks about the topic at hand. He claims to be the greatest WWE Champion in history. Everyone tunes in to watch him, to see him and that's what drives WWE today. Miz says without him there would be no WWE Universe. He calls Orton a 'second-rate, boring and forgettable' champion who will never hold this belt again (pointing at the title). In fact, nobody else will hold this belt again. Miz plans to retire with the belt. So, Miz says he has chosen a fitting stipulation for his match. He will defend the WWE Championship against Randy Orton.. alongside Alex Riley in a Handicap match! The crowd boos this revelation. Michaels accepts it, seeing as it was Miz's choice. However, there's more. Michaels says in honor of tonight's celebrations, there will be two matches involving both The Miz and Orton - Pick Your Poison. Miz will select Orton's opponent now, as they will be up first. Miz smiles as he heads backstage, and we head into a commercial break.
Commercial Break
Randy Orton defeats Wade Barrett with an RKO. The Nexus try to interfere but are systematically and effectively taken out by the Viper prior to his victory.
Commercial Break
Natalya is backstage warming up for her Divas Championship defense tonight. Her opponent, Melina, walks into the room to confront the Champion. Melina says she can't wait to pull every strand of 'greasy' hair out of Natalya's ugly head. Natalya laughs and dares Melina to try before slapping her to the floor. Natalya leaves the room, and Melina shocked.
Elsewhere, an embarrassed Nexus are gathered in what's proven to be a regular scene as of late. Wade Barrett says Nexus isn't living up to their reputation. They've lost their edge, and despite having this talk more than once now, they still haven't made an impact. Barrett tells his team mates that tonight they WILL make an impact.
Graphics hype tonight's upcoming matches, including The Miz vs. his Pick Your Poison opponent chosen by Randy Orton, and Jerry Lawler vs. Michael Cole!
The Usos (with Rikishi) defeat Los Aviadores to retain the WWE Tag Team Championship.
Up next is a special RAW vs. Smackdown match.. John Morrison takes on the high flyer Rey Mysterio!
Commercial Break
Rey Mysterio defeats John Morrison with the 619 and West Coast Pop.
After the match, Morrison and Mysterio shake hands as a sign of respect. However, Jack Swagger runs in to the ring and attacks both men. Swagger locks Mysterio in the Ankle Lock. With the damage done, Swagger leaves. He will face Mysterio on Smackdown this Friday, but why has he attacked Mysterio here tonight?
Backstage, Santino Marella is talking with his tag team partner Vladimir Kozlov and their manager Tamina. Marella discusses the future of his partnership with Kozlov. They agree that they need to reclaim the Tag Team Titles that The Usos won from them last month. Producer Goldust enters the scene and rambles on about match openings and such, nothing really conclusive, just adding some extra comedy to the segment.
Sheamus comes down to the ring. He takes a microphone and begins speaking. Sheamus claims to be the biggest RAW superstar in history and once again highlights his career accomplishments so far. Looking towards the Royal Rumble, Sheamus guarantees he is stronger than any other RAW or Smackdown performer. He is the man to beat and the one to watch. The Celtic Warrior issues a challenge to any superstar that will be competing in the Royal Rumble to come and face him right now. He is answered by the returning Evan Bourne! Bourne attacks Sheamus from behind as we head into a break..
A Don't Try This video package featuring Randy Orton aired.
Commercial Break
Evan Bourne defeats Sheamus with Air Bourne.
Josh Matthews is backstage interviewing Juan Cena. However, any question Matthews asks is met with a puzzled response from Juan. Seems he doesn't understand English!
Elsewhere, Shawn Michaels walking down a corridor, chatting away on his cell phone. Whoever he's talking to, Michaels tells them he's looking forward to seeing them next week. He hangs up as he arrives at his office. However, something is wrong as the door is hanging barely on it's hinges. Inside, several crew members have been badly beaten and the office is trashed. Michaels calls for help as we go to commercials.
Commercial Break
Natalya defeats Melina with the Sharpshooter to retain the WWE Divas Championship.
After the match, LayCool come out dressed in like they've just returned from vacation, dragging their suitcases behind them. Michelle McCool addresses Natalya in the ring, saying that they've just got off the plane from their vacation and they LOVED IT! They insist that everyone looks at their 'holiday snaps' on the titantron. They claim to have lived it up as 'true Divas' and that Natalya and her 'man-jaw' are a disgrace to the Divas Championship. McCool announces that she and Layla will face Natalya at the Royal Rumble in a Triple Threat match. Beth Phoenix surprises LayCool from behind, a brawl erupting. Natalya heads to the stage to join in. LayCool use their case to escape as the four head closer towards the ring. At the top of the stage, Layla and Michelle look horrified as Natalya and Beth hand out the contents of their cases to the fans!
The Bella Twins are seen with the United States Champion Daniel Bryan. They each kiss him on the cheek, and offer him wishes of good luck. Bryan thanks them and leaves to defend his belt against Ted DiBiase.
Commercial Break
Ted DiBiase (with Maryse) defeats Daniel Bryan to win the United States Championship. Maryse proves to be the key to DiBiase's victory, holding down Bryan's leg as her man made the cover.
Backstage, Shawn Michaels confronts the Nexus over the state of his office and the attacks on WWE personnel earlier tonight. Wade Barrett doesn't deny their involvement. In fact, he tells Michaels that incidents like this will continue to happen until Nexus is truly recognised as the greatest force in the WWE Universe. They will continue to make Michaels and his 'pet' Cena suffer. Michaels says that, for his confessed involvement in tonight's attacks, he is suspending Barrett until the Royal Rumble. Barrett becomes angered as Nexus try to hold him back from beating a smiling Michaels and risk a more serious punishment.
Commercial Break
The commentary team discuss what's coming up tonight, including The Miz vs. his Pick Your Poison opponent chosen by Randy Orton, and Jerry Lawler vs. Michael Cole! The Royal Rumble is discussed, and all the matches are hyped, including Miz and Riley/Orton in a Handicap match for the WWE Title, Edge/Kane for the World Title and Paul Bearer, Cena/Barrett for Cena's right to return to WWE, and not forgetting the 30-man Royal Rumble match!
Alberto Del Rio defeats Big Show by count out. Del Rio has Show locked in his Arm Bar around the ring post before ramming his head into the post with force. Show couldn't recover and enter the ring.
A graphic reveals we'll see Jerry Lawler vs. Michael Cole NEXT!
Commercial Break
Jerry Lawler enters the ring and, as ordered by Shawn Michaels, Michael Cole must face Lawler here tonight. The match never officially gets started as both Alex Riley and The Miz attack Lawler. Juan Cena comes out to assist Lawler but is countered surprisingly by CM Punk. Punk attacks Lawler until Shawn Michaels eventually comes down and orders a cease to the mayhem, he has some announcements. Michaels tells The Miz that his involvement in this attack on The King will not go unpunished. Michaels revokes Miz's right to choose the stipulation for his WWE Title match at the Royal Rumble. Michaels reveals instead, Miz will face Orton in a Last Man Standing match, with Alex Riley banned from ringside! Next week on RAW, Miz will face the opponent Randy Orton chose for him tonight.. Juan Cena! Michaels also announces that for his unnecessary involvement, CM Punk is fired from his commentary position and will return to the active roster immediately, as he teams with The Miz and Michael Cole to take on Jerry Lawler and Juan Cena right now!
Juan Cena and Jerry Lawler defeat The Miz, CM Punk and Michael Cole when Lawler pinned Cole after the Attitude Adjustment.
Cena and Lawler celebrate in the ring to end the match, as an embarrassed WWE Champion is helped to the backstage area by Alex Riley. The Miz stares a hole through Cena to end the show.
ALSO ON... Mark Henry def. William Regal to qualify for the Royal Rumble. Tyson Kidd def. JTG with a Swinging Neckbreaker.

BREAKING NEWS
WWE.com has confirmed that Triple H has suffered a torn calf at the Chatanooga RAW World Tour live event. Triple H was competing against CM Punk when the tear appeared to occur during a Pedigree attempt. Although details are few right now, initial reports speculate The Game will be out of action for a further 9 months. Of course this alters any plans that Creative had for Triple H in the coming months for his upcoming return.

Pick Your Poison is a great idea. I loved Miz's promo and calling Orton "second-rate and forgettable" was classic. I'm intrigued by the handicap match idea. Barrett/Orton was a great opener choice, made sense for Orton to win. I hope that either Nexus disbands or actually makes an impact for once. The Usos retaining are nice, but I do like the team of Los Aviadores. Mysterio/Morrison is a great, respect based cross brand match. Surprised Swagger attacked Morrison too. Producer Goldust is comedic stuff. Not sure on Bourne attacking Sheamus from behind, and really surprised that he beat him. Natalya retaining is cool, and I like the Triple Threat match set for the Rumble. Hate that Ted Dibiase won the US Title from Daniel Bryan. He's not over enough and I think Bryan's reign should be ended on a PPV considering how good it's been. Barrett getting suspended is interesting to say the least. Del Rio beating Show by countout keeps both men looking strong. I like how the main event was changed because Cole/Lawler isn't strong enough on it's own. The faces winning was good and I'm glad you kept the Juan Cena thing
Very good Birthday Raw, although I wish you had some segments where they flashed back to some great moments in Raw history or something. Can't wait for the Rumble.

Okay, first off, I like how you've invented yourself a big show to celebrate. Good work there, and well done! I like the opening promo, a Handicap match for the WWE Championship sounds interesting, and very Miz like. I like how Shawn Michaels is the GM by the way, simply because I'm a huge HBK mark and can see him doing the whole cowboy hat and smart shirt thing as GM. A solid opening contest, though I don't like how the Nexus seems to have been dispensed easily. I would've preferred for some build for Cena / Barrett here, but never mind. The Melina/Natalya encounter was cool, and it's good seeing bitchy Melina back. Natalya getting the upper hand now makes me think she'll lose later on. The little Nexus bit after this explains the earlier happening in the show, but I'm still not a fan. The Usos seem to be on a strong run as Tag Team champs which is good to see, though I thought Hunico and Epico were on SmackDown!, or am I mistaken? As well, I don't think they are nearly ready enough for that kind of exposure. Regardless, it was a nice addition to the show. Rey Mysterio beating JoMo was the right move, glad to see that JoMo is getting that level of exposure. Swagger getting some screen time is interesting, but I remember you saying you didn't like it when I booked the Swagger/Rey thing again, so i don't see it going far. Like how you crammed all the comedy performers in the 'E on screen at once, would like to see more of them together. Evan Bourne making a comeback! Love the fact he's got another Pinfall over Sheamus, and I hope he begins a feud with Punk, considering he put him on the shelf. Nexus attacking crew members again? That's interesting, though I think they are beyond that now. Natalya over Melina was a little unexpected, but I suppose the aftermath with LayCool explains why. I look forward to the three of them battling at the Rumble, though personally, I would've preferred a tag match with Beth, and Melina taking the Championship. Not sure about the booking of the match, surely the Bella's would've joined Bryan to thwart the threat of Maryse? Not a fan of DiBiase taking the strap either, as I find him to be boring, and to have little redeeming qualities. Barrett being suspended till the Rumble is interesting, as it prevents further build of tension between Cena and him for the match they have at the Rumble. Del Rio beating Big Show is great for him, and I'm glad that you did it by count out, as otherwise it'd look a bit ridiculous considering Show had the best WLD record of 2010. I like the booking behind Lawler/Cole, and a Last Man Standing match between Orton and Miz is interesting, but with how recent LMS matches have been, with them literally ending when someone couldn't stand, and a lot more PG than they have been in the past, I wonder what you are going to do. Punk back in the ring is awesome as well! I like the little handicap to end the show, with Cole taking the fall from Lawler which is great! A good way to close the show there. Overall I enjoyed the show, but I will be honest and say that you should've tweaked the booking a bit in this episode in certain events.

I like how you're using the Juan Cena character. It's a shame WWE didn't go that route. DiBiase winning the title is... eh. But it makes sense, hopefully there's a push for Daniel Bryan in the works. Natalya vs Michelle vs Layla is something I would have loved to see. Bourne returning is great, and I hope he has an impactful return in real life.
One thing I don't like is how JOHN Cena is facing Wade Barrett. IMO Juan should be fighting for John's place, atleast that's how I would have done it. But besides that, this is an awesome sim and you're doing a great job.

WWE RAW: Monday 10th January 2011...Is this a three-hour special? Liked Shawn Michaels kicking off the show, and directing his attention in The Miz's direction. Looking forward to how this will work. It's totally predictable that Miz won't have Alex Riley around against Randy Orton at the Royal Rumble. Pick Your Poison sounds good, and while it was a hot opening contest, Orton just took out the man he beat at Survivor Series in a match that nobody will remember in a week or two. I dislike that. It also shows The Nexus as being silly, every one of them failing to help Barrett beating Orton. The Usos beating Los Aviadores to retain the WWE Tag Team Championships. Hm, nothing special. I don't think Los Aviadores are ready at all, honestly. Hot match between Rey Mysterio and John Morrison, Mysterio doesn't do the West Coast Pop though. Looking forward to how you can potentially keep the Jack Swagger/Rey Mysterio storyline going, it's been replayed throughout 2010. Sheamus' promo was nice, liked him opening up an invitation, and Evan Bourne returning was the right decision. Shame he beat Sheamus though, didn't like that one bit. I think Bourne would have been an awesome choice to hold off and have return at the Royal Rumble match though, personally. Natalya beating Melina is a good match for the WWE Divas Championship. Laycool's involvement, hmm. Interested with a fatal four-way match at the Royal Rumble over the WWE Divas Championship. Ted Dibiase winning the WWE United States Championship I am happy to see. Maybe Dibiase will actually get on a good storm from here. Next, Alberto Del Rio beating Big Show was likely, didn't do too much. The count-out finish was pretty nicely thought out though. Jerry Lawler and Michael COle's match being turned into a tag team handicap match was brilliant, Juan Cena hah. I like that being there. I just don't know how Cena would have worked though, personally. Orton and Miz at the Rumble for the WWE Championship in a Last Man Standing match will be solid, and would probably be the reason why I would buy Royal Rumble, not for the Rumble match. Juan Cena and Jerry Lawler with the win against The Miz, CM Punk and Michael Cole was good. A decent episode, but some booking was questionable. You could have put over this episode being the 'birthday episode of RAW' a bit more.
WWE SmackDown: Friday 14th January 2011...I am so annoyed that Triple H has been taken out again with another injury. It will just fuel a CM Punk and Triple H feud later in the year. I am not pleased with this though. Loved the involvement of non-WWE results too, is a very good tidbit. NJPW's show was great, by the way. Will you be following real TNA results? Alberto Del Rio and Chris Masters should have put on the Masterlock Challenge right there and then, really. I didn't like how it was just there to set up for later in the night, when all they'd need is probably a steel chair. Drew McIntyre beating Trent Barreta was likely. Edge and Cody Rhodes arguing was nice yet random. Melina beating Kelly Kelly was fine, glad to see some interaction with RAW and SmackDown divas. Do love the cowardly nature of Dolph Ziggler, hopefully Big Show never wins the WWE Intercontinental Championship, by the way. There's nothing really left for Show to do here. Ricardo Rodriguez' involvement was good, liked him aiding Masters, but again, should have been done in the opening segment. Edge beating Cody Rhodes was likely, Kane and Edge's feud should end at Royal Rumble at last. JTG competed against Tyson Kidd on WWE Superstars, yet now he's on SmackDown? I don't understand. Nice six-man tag team match, Zack Ryder would have been abused by Vickie Guerrero and Ziggler I bet. What happened with David Hart Smith and McIntyre...could've explained. Jack Swagger's promo was basic, and a good main event with Rey Mysterio getting the win. A good show, but odd booking in places, such as the main event.

Alberto Del Rio makes entrance. Del Rio swaggers to the ring with his usual confidence. In the ring, Del Rio is handed a microphone by his personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez. Del Rio talks about how great he is and how the WWE Universe should be honored to be in the same room as him. He says this also applies to Chris Masters. Del Rio slams Masters and denounces him as a 'Masterpiece'. The Mexican Aristocrat claims he is the true 'Masterpiece' when he is interupted by Chris Masters. Masters wastes no time in challenging Del Rio to back up his claims. Del Rio says he will do so.. in a Masterlock Challenge. Del Rio says he is the master of all holds and will be quick to break any hold of Masters'. Masters accepts and tells a referee to come out. However, Del Rio interupts and stops him. He says they will conduct the Masterlock Challenge later tonight as he has to 'prepare'.

-Del Rio and Masters in the Masterlock Challenge tonight should be good. An odd promo to kick off the show. -I hope you push Barreta. A good call here for McIntyre to win though. -Edge over Rhodes was the right call as Edge is the World Champion. -Rodgriguez helping Del Rio escape is good. Del Rio vs. Masters feud could help Masters relevance. -The faces winning was expected since Big Show is on the face side. -Mysterio over Swagger is the right call either way. A good main event. -Solid show; looking forward to RR.

Del Rio being in a opening segment makes sense, but Chris Masters? I usually associate the opening segment wiuth main event talent. Seemed like a weak opening. Edge/Rhodes would be a good contest and I am surprised that didn’t main event as I find that to be more interesting than Rey vs. Swagger. The main event had the obvious outcome with Rey going over. Lacks detail so I don’t know how everything played out or if it would be good. But, for what was given it seemed like a okay show.
