Thompson faces eviction from his 38 acres in Madison County. The county lawyer tells 24-Hour News 8 it's because Thompson is breaking too many rules, laws and ordinances; Thompson has no water, no sewer and no electricity in his recreational trailer that he calls home. www.wishtv.com/dpp/news/local/north_central/madison-county-evicts-man-from-trailer?ref=scroller&categoryId=10001&status=trueSo what? They want to kick him out of land, he owns. He does not owe a penny for the land. He pays his taxes. They are just kicking him out for no reason whatsoever. This is bullpoop. If it can happen to him, it can happen to you. Kliq, it's only a 5 hour trip from my house. Come pick me up and let's go. "Attend the Madison County Commissioner's Meeting on Tuesday, December 7th at 10AM and demand that this man's rights be respected!"

Interesting stuff. He's kind of a psychopath at times, but I love it. Hahaha.

It's not for no reason.

It's not for no reason. So a person has to be a slave to the government in order to live somewhere? Why can't he go without water or electricity? He can buy water in bottles and maybe he doesn't need electricity and I'm sure there are plenty of places for him to use the bathroom and if he has a gym membership he can shower there. So why does he need those things regulated by the government?

So if this guy had kids on his property with no electricity, no running water, etc,.... you'd be ok with that? Also, if you were a home owner would you want to live next to this guy? The state of his property would drag your values down.

And he has 38 acres so I doubt it would ruin anyone's home value.

He's got 38 acres....that's a ton of property. I don't think it will effect his neighbors

Obviously this man is doing no harm to anyone Governments should stop worrying about things like this and sort out the problems that really matter

Laws are there for a reason. If you think the laws are bad or shouldn't apply to you, then there are channels where you can appeal them. You guys are arguing that even though this guy is clearly violating the law that he shouldn't be punished.

It's HIS land, it's not like he's hurting anybody or growing or creating any illegal substances. If a person wants to live the way this guy is living on his own land, nobody should have the right to interfere.

So if this guy had kids on his property with no electricity, no running water, etc,.... you'd be ok with that? There are Amish people within 10 miles of my house who have none of these things to my knowledge. And kids live on their land. What's always baffling to me is how if GOD is involved, oh that changes EVERYTHING!... But if someone just wants to "live off the land," that's completely unacceptable. Also, if you were a home owner would you want to live next to this guy? The state of his property would drag your values down. It's not his duty to worry about other people's property value. Other things ruin property values, too, but we can't step in and say, "We don't want this oil refinery in our city anymore." Laws are there for a reason. If you think the laws are bad or shouldn't apply to you, then there are channels where you can appeal them. You guys are arguing that even though this guy is clearly violating the law that he shouldn't be punished. These laws are absolutely preposterous. Forcing people to modernize and comply to the same way of life is completely un-American.
