Thanks for the pics. Can you say whether the jacket will fit on a Jakks cruiserweight torso? Balloon arms....so... no.

Yes that scan might be a good Billy Jack base . thanks for the pics. IMO very disappointing... that headscan looks nothing like him, now we can finally see it without the hat and glasses. sure they've given him long hair and a beard and a nice hat and glasses... but the FACE doesn't look like macho AT ALL... I know most people will be so excited to finally get a macho they will automatically disagree and attack me. but please people, ACTUALLY STOP AND LOOK at that head BEFORE you automatically assume it's amazing... Look past the hat, glasses, hair and beard. Look at the FACE. That is NOWHERE close to Macho Man's face. And IMO anyone who says it is a good likeness, clearly lacks the ability to see differences between a real face and a reproduction. What a let down. I'll wait until I see it in person before I pass final judgement. This way I can see what details it has/lacks in person and not a photo.

looks good...i WILL get it...but i do have a couple issues... 1) the head...something seems a bit off with the likeness...actually,i think it's more the hair...the figure has what looks like long, flowing locks...macho had the sorta scarecrow-looking stringy hair by then... 2) the foreams...he had forearm covers with the silver and blue designs on them at WM 7.... not trying to be nitpicky just saying,it's not as accurate as it could be... He also wore a shirt under the jacket that he also took off before the match. It makes the jacket look odd to not have that. Oh well, it's still pretty awesome.

Why did the other guy's thread about getting it get locked? Yeah that was mine. It got locked and then I got a message from the admins. I guess they wanted to make sure that I did not get my figure through "chinese" scalpers or whatnot. I got everything cleared up (and no I bought it legitimatly at a competiors store that will not be mentioned on here) at any rate we exchanged info, but I guess my thread will stay locked anyway. Which sucks since I was in the middle of uploading more pics. However I guess its ok to discuss the figure here in this thread,so I will get back to topic here. Since I am the only (presumably) other person on here with figure in hand I feel I can give some insight into the sculpt and such. The head does look better in person,HOWEVER, it is still not what you would expect a Savage to be. Does it resemble him? Yes very much. Does it look exactly like him? No not at all. That said, the detail on the jacket, shades, hat and tassels is completey amazing. There is no arguing it is a solid figure. And it will hold up and be one of your mattel centerpieces. Perhaps,as has been said,he is best displayed with hat and glasses. With all the accessories on,it is a superb Savage representation. I recommend it,and think it will be a great companion piece with the upcoming DM Warrior. Also,a great counterpart with the upcoming Legends 5.

Ringside Collectibles is expecting this in stock on Monday. awesome. considering the huge deal of finally getting a macho man figure, will RSC's very own tom be treating us all to an extra-special figure insider video?? i can't wait to see what tom comes up with next, he really deserves a raise for his innovative and entertaining performances!! although TBH i'm not looking forward to seeing the macho headscan up close in an insider video, because from what i can see on this thread, the likeness looks very disappointing... Also,a great counterpart with the upcoming Legends 5. i understand the admins being careful of chinese scalpers, but since it's all cleared up now, i think i speak for all of us when i say please post some more pics!! either message an admin requesting your old thread unlocked, or just post them here. very disappointed to hear you don't think it looks like savage... obviously i've only seen the small pics on this thread of the head without hat and glasses, but as i said, from what i can see, the likeness looks very bad. Mattel really need to get some better head sculptors or implement photo>3D scanning technology into their design process. For a figure as important as Macho Man - and TBH you can't get much more important - the likeness should have been given extra attention and time to make it extra good. Very disappointing Macho man likeness, Mattel. Sort it out.

I hope they use the Austin Torso for his legends release, but I don't think the will. His L5 Proto has the 'ripped' arms which indicate he will have the HHH torso.

Ringside Collectibles is expecting this in stock on Monday. Sweet. That means not only are both my Legends 4 orders going to be here this week so will my DM Savage & RFE Rey. I think once they arrive all my RS orders will be here...Well mnus the EG Taker I had preordered before finding them locally. (actually The EG Taker order was the order I placed first before all these orders) Mattel really need to get some better head sculptors or implement photo>3D scanning technology into their design process. For a figure as important as Macho Man - and TBH you can't get much more important - the likeness should have been given extra attention and time to make it extra good. Very disappointing Macho man likeness, Mattel. Sort it out. I think Mattel uses some of the same sculpters. we know they both used Gentle Giants for the scanning, but if you remember the woman who I think went by the name "sculpter" was posting some of the sculpts she did for the Jakks CS line she also posted pics of DC and JLU heads/figures she sculpted for mattel at the same time. So I would guess they both hire out to some of the same sculpters.

What I meant was they should implement the technology (which does exist) of scanning a photograph and using specialist software to create a 3D model from this data, which can then be tweaked in the computer, outputted to wax, and cleaned up by a sculptor. Mattel should use this to help them get better likenesses on their legends figures.

damn I hope they get the Elite 6 David Hart Smith by the end of the week so i can get my Macho Man! i ordered it on the same transaction!! i agree with some people that the face doesn't look as good as it should be for someone as important as the Macho Man, however i am still very excited for it. Should be a great week next week, Legends 4 will be here Monday and then hopefully by the end of the week Savage.
